I love this song, especially because it's in Spanish, it just flows so beautifully. Pau's drumming is the backbone of this song, Ale's bass came alive, Dany's vocals just mesmerized me with how they mixed with the song itself. They gave us a sneak peek of the studio cut and I've been waiting for the full song ever since. It's just another masterpiece of songwriting and singing. Viva la Warning!

How I undertand this song, I'm a native Spanish speaker (Mexico), it's that suffering (Martirio) is, the same as happiness: a CHOICE, it's all up to you.

I get chills every time I listen to Martirio, and I don’t even know Spanish! With every new song these sisters release I become more convinced that these young ladies WILL, without a doubt in my mind one day be recognized as not just one of, but THE GREATEST Power Trio of all time, eclipsing even the greatest power trios to date in Rush, Cream, The Police, Muse, Jimi Hendrix, Grand Funk Railroad. I know this is a bold statement, but I am absolutely 100% convinced of this!
Simply put these young ladies souls are timeless and have eons of wisdom to draw upon and will absolutely dominate the music world for as long as they chose to do so. Mark my words, they WILL sell out any venue they chose to play, including major arenas and stadiums and they WILL be invited to headline the largest major music festivals the world has to offer, playing in front of millions!

I really get the song bringing out a strong emotional reaction. I do the same. When they toured Argentina they played an early version of the song and I feel in love with it immediately. I've since learned the English translation, but it really doesn't matter to me because those young ladies got the message across to me. In fact, just like today's listening, the very first time I heard the song it invoked an emotional feeling out of me. The Warning right songs about the human experience. It's not necessarily a dark theme, but they don't shy away from the concept either. That's part of what endears them to me so much. Dany is an incredible singer who has the ability to meld emotion with perfect execution. A listener can feel whatever she's singing directly from her soul. There's some great rock singers. Just plain excellent singers that will blow a person away in one performance. I find Dany to be amongst that crowd. It's impossible to ignore Pau, but sometimes I feel people almost take Dany's performances for granted. She's an outstanding singer and I feel that with "Martirio" she put her personal seal on that point. Dany's the real deal. The Warning is the real deal. So glad you two know this, too. You're awesome!
I love how they were able to capture and deliver the passion in this epic song. While reading the translated English lyrics, I can imagine the global impact this song is going to have. @ABJ Busti - Looking back when The Warning was an independent band. The Warning Army had a choice. Do we want live videos or music videos?? We took live.
With that said. Just imagine what type of a *music video album* we would of gotten from The Warning from the *Queen of the Murder Scene* album.

Awesome reaction folks,and it goes to show that great songwriting,and language knows no barriers,and the talent these sisters exude is beyond compare. There are no family bands out there that can even come this close to the tightness of these sisters. Little hint though - be prepared for their song "Z" off their "Mayday EP". Oh,and yes,Paulina is my fave too,but Danys vocals are just getting so unreal,it's exciting to contemplate how great a vocalist she will become in the future

Thanks to these wonderful girls and your honest and natural reaction, I remembered my childhood listening to sweet rock'n roll, I didn't understand a word, I just knew that it gave me goose bumps and that I loved it.

That´s the thing that is unique for TW you don´t have to understand the words they sing. You feel it! I have heard many bands and when i hear something i don´t understand or a word i can´t make out what it is, then much of the experience is ruined. The Warning makes you feel and experience their pain or joy. And that´s why they are so good and why I believe this is it. There are no better. There can be only one. I love your reactions by the way.

Even if you don't understand the words (like me) its still a great song and video, they first did the song in Argentina in 2019 but now its recoded and their video production just keeps getting better as well. If you pay attention, in almost all their lyrics there are many hidden messages and different interpretations, and it depends on the people who listen to it and their own experiences, it will be what determines what the song wants to convey. It also seems to me that the new album has a theme of perception of overcoming, Choke talks about how sometimes we must understand that we need to withdraw and we ask everyone around us to allow it and then resurface, Evolve talks about the empowerment that each one of us has that allows us not to submit to stereotypes or taboos, Martirio talks about how sometimes we feel victims or martyrs of events that we do not want to confront. This is how The Warning presents us in this new single a journey of coming to terms with different types of human suffering and pain and a recognition of these moments, turning into a cutting rock anthem that silently draws listeners before exploding into a pure spectacle of energy and power that has become the characteristic sound of this group.
This is my interpretación.
The song is an invitation to break the chains that you put on yourself, it is a song to the liberation of all the thoughts that you impose on yourself and limit you, it is a goodbye to your life of martyrdom (not to your literal life). .. you are not a martyr because life wanted it that way, it is you and only you who can change that situation and save yourself.
the video can have many interpretations, women in white are being martyred for their alter ego or their negative side (thoughts, ideas) represented by women in black.
the house with torn sheets can represent his soul or his own being damaged by the women in black again, in one scene it seems that the women in black surround or tie the women in white.
It is obvious that the video is very cinematic and there are many hidden messages.

I like your interpretation but the part about what the torn tapestries may not work.
They never had any intention of them being torn to shreds like that but the wind was extremely gusty the day of the shoot and just shredded them.
Apparently several takes of parts of the song were ruined because the torn segments would whip in the wind and strike Pau while she was playing and she would of course react.
They were gonna remove the tapestries completely but they didn’t like the possible visual of a bare frame.
They ended up tying up the bigger sections so they wouldn’t interfere with the production and just went with the shredded look but it really wasn’t meant to signify anything in particular.
It really did add to the visuals of the video though.
