    Thanks for the vid. FYI, My 23’ RG ST stage II with S&S 475 cam was dyno’d at the HD dealer with 120 HP and 120 ft lbs torque at 4900 RPM.

      2020 Goldwing has 90 hp @ 5400 and 102.5 ftlb @ 1400. A bone stock 114 has 82 hp @ 5000 and 108 ftlb @ 2700. The Limited (with pipes) takes the goldwing in a race (street fun) and gets better fuel economy on the same 360 mile trip.

      @@guysmiley8473 (with pipes),...doesn't count. The Gold Wing weights considerably less, so the HD will not keep up. BMW's K1600 blows the whole works off the road

    Hats off to you for a no BS test with a fact based horse power.
    I dont understand why the manufacturers try to make this info so difficult to find.

      I'm general, you can always reduce the "crank numbers" by 10-15% for an approx rear wheel figure.

    • @Bullet62013
      @Bullet62013 Před 6 měsíci

      Manufacturers don't make it difficult, they always list crank hp, then deduct 15hp for chain or belt drive to get your rear wheel hp.

  • @jimbeam4111
    @jimbeam4111 Před 6 měsíci +3

    It’s going to feel faster because of the rear pulley has less teeth than other versions. People spend a ton of money on engine upgrades to go faster when the cheaper route is to change the final drive ratio by changing the rear pulley. But that’s not as fun to talk about.

    • @bigjohn2323
      @bigjohn2323 Před 6 měsíci

      the rear pulley is the same, the front pulley is 30T vs the standard 32T pulley. the 30T is standard on trikes

    So it makes like 8 more HP than a Challenger but cost $12k-$15k more? Too be fair I like the looks of the Harley more, neither have good looking fairings tho. Harley is easier to have T Bars but it'll still block the screen. Harley probably has better rear suspension. But it seems like they're charging a lot for 5 pieces of forged carbon, suspension that should be on the normal RG and 4ci.

    Man, those numbers are painful to see. My '22 fxlrs with the 117 stage two is hitting 126lb/ft of torque and 125hp with the S&S475 and a TBR exhaust. That was with Harley's tuner. It's since been changed over to a Thundermax which my butt dyno tells me is a bit faster than it used to be with Harley's tuner. If anything, the motor just runs better with a far smoother power curve.
    That being said, I bet you could get the HP into the 130's and torque into the 140's on this model with a stage 2 and an aftermarket tuner.

    • @nickpapagiorgio8038
      @nickpapagiorgio8038 Před 6 měsíci

      True, but you aren't getting that suspension, the new Dash & carbon items (if any of that is your thing).

    • @MyFatherLoves
      @MyFatherLoves Před 6 měsíci

      @@nickpapagiorgio8038 I do love a good suspension and carbon aesthetics. However, you can get just as good of suspension on my fxlrs for $3k and all kinds of carbon if I wanted to.
      Heck, buying the new RG standard at $28, getting cartridges and rear suspension installed (if it was available), would only come out to ~$34k. Still $10k cheaper than the CVO ST.
      CVO ST is what is because of the inverted suspension for sure. And It's excellent. There's no touring Harley that will handle as good as it does without inverted suspension. Very true. So, I'm certainly not trying to knock it.

    • @blueblood76

      Crank HP is the real HP the engine makes. RWHP is the amount of HP that is making it to the rear wheel accounting for drivetrain losses.

    You get 115hp and Mind Bending speed for 45k....lol... then drop another 10k for ludicrous speed...haha. These bikes are 1000lb cruisers with a rider so hp to weight ratio is horrible, even with a 130 cu motor and 155hp they still aren't fast, maybe for a cruiser. Suspension and brakes still suck, way too much $$$$ for shitty all around performance. Not sure why guys dump so much cash into a bike designed for cruising it makes no sense.
