I for one, love a good punch in the shoulder from a big bore every now and then. On the other hand, I wouldn't want to abuse myself with repeated firings :)

How do you like those conduit target stands? I was thinking about picking up a few. How do they hold up?

Was there a point to this? No declaration of range (yardage), but it appears - possibly deceptive - to be around fifty yards. The guns both shoot to the right of center and have a serious vertical spread. One also notes the targets are cratered, which make them dangerous (bounce back toward firing line) to shoot, with anything.
I have a .458 WM, on a 1903 Springfield action. I have a load that seems to perform adequately, but it's too cold and snowy right now to test further.
I also have a Ruger No. 1 in the 450/400 NE caliber. Preliminary loads seem to be under the required velocity. Still a work in progress.

So you didn't have a point. Jeffrey Kelley other than maybe plugging limb saver. Thank you for the clarity.

I think that the point is just shooting those rifles at the range. I didn’t see “How to”, “Comparison “, etc in the title. As for the grouping, they’re shooting standing and freehand on the bench. No sand bags or vise. I think that is the reason for steel round targets, hearing the hit. Maybe he was plugging “limb saver” but it seems like you’re plugging your rifles also. Why hate on someone that is just having fun. I don’t think that these rifles are made for match shooting but for killing large animals at close to moderate range before it kills you. Thanks for pointing out there’s no point and that you have some big bores also.

OK Jeffrey. Can you get them? And then conduct this test with a ballistic gel elephant head?
      Bonus- I was joking.

Sudip Bose. Why not just shoot a .50 cal offhand or better yet strapped in the prone position?

The rounds are hard to find and super pricey. Even pressing your own is a costly endeavor
