    Hey everyone!
In tonight’s video, I not only review the 2023 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame show, but I also discuss exactly what Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin playing live on the show could mean for Led Zeppelin!
Was the show good? Or did it suck? And what about Jimmy Page?
Well that’s just what I’ll be discussing all of these subjects in tonight’s video!
Oh and as usual if you enjoy tonight;s video, please consider giving it a Thumbs-Up as that helps the CZcams algorithm better identify the channel to a larger audience!
If you haven’t subscribed to the channel as of yet, just hit that subscribe to ‘The Tribe’ button, and then tap that Top-Bell Icon, and you’ll be notified of all my future videos!

OMG> I knew of some of the people overlooked but, I did not know many you mentioned, thinking they were may honored awhile ago. How sad that this was supposed to be an honor to those who did impressive work in the world of rock and instead we are treated to people who are brand new and NOT in the world of rock.
I wonder if they had a R&B hall of fame if they would be happy to have people like King Crimson, Humble Pie, Iggy Pop, ect included for honors for the sake of being inclusive.

Not just that but Yes split into two groups during thrir 2017 induction. First is Yes by Steve Howe as i call it and then there is the Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman version also known in short as ARW. Tensions built up so much over the years that Anderson states that Howe kept avoiding him all evening that night.
Peter Banks is said to feel angry Steve Howe cant let him perform at least 2 songs on stage at the ceremony and backstage, Howe acted rather petty by creating his own bodyguard setup

Jimmy Page's contribution is immeasurable to Rock. A monster song writer, his tunings, the originator of the light/heavy thing (ex: Baby I'm gonna leave you) his studio expertise, his stage showmanship and so on. However, as much I worship Zep, I'm afraid it would be a mistake for a reunion. They couldn't live up to expectations. His chops aren't what they were and understandably. Plant also wouldn't hit those notes but who can expect him to? I have nothing but love and respect for them. Every rock guitarist or producer owes Jimmy a great deal of gratitude. He's a legend among legends and deserves to retire with dignity. Just my 2 cents.

Days later, Page's lawyer threatened to sue him if he didn't retract it. Led Zeppelin has been and always be my favorite band. But it's over. 2007 O2 was the last show. @@DianeLake-sw3ym --Correct. Page's contributions have been more than enough having been in 3 bands, 2 or 3 solo records and collaboration with both the Black Crowes and Coverdale. I doubt he would put out any new material at age 80 that might be sub-par or not as good as what he did 40 years ago and I don't think he would run that risk unless he chooses to. Just live out and enjoy the final stretch run. He certainly doesn't need to prove anything at this point.

I think the number one reason why they won’t be a Led Zeppelin reunion, Michael, is that Robert Plant simply cannot reach the notes that he could reach. If there’s anything close to a reunion, it would probably be more of the acoustic numbers in an intimate setting.

Excellent presentation! Just checking your videos out for the first time, and really enjoyed it! That performance by Page was practically the only saving grace of a lost cause known as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I'm a huge Zeppelin fan, and I strongly agree that the world needs at least one more Zep reunion. However, as I wrote in another comment elsewhere, the boys need to seriously get moving before the history books close. The recent release of the final Beatles song is sad evidence of that.

Hey Michael, great seeing ya last night. It was an all-star panel and a great discussion on Royce in the House. Always a pleasure.
I never watch these RRHOF shows. It's a bastardization of the term Rock & Roll and whether Wenner is there or not, the show still reflects his biases, politics, and sensibilities. No thanks! I do want to add that in addition to his songwriting, Willie Nelson is also a really good guitar player, especially when he shows off his Django influence. Gotta love that Trigger guitar too.
As for one final Zep reunion, How Many More Times will you Ramble On about this? We must all accept What Is and What Should Never Be. Ok ok, that's enough of my silliness for one day. You know I sympathize with your position on this. As you say, hope springs eternal. I would just love if Jimmy would stop talking, get off his arse, and go out and play again. He should have done this following the release of It Might Get Loud. The timing was really right then. I have seen nearly all my heroes live except Jimmy, so that is where my own hope lies.
    🙏🙏🙏
Thanks as always for being the voice of reason and accountability with the Hall of Shame. Keep up the awesome work, my friend.

Unfortunately R&R is no longer the dominant music, also groups playing their own instruments and writing their own material have all but disappeared. Also the album is also dead, people just download singles. It’s quite sad really .

An idea I had that I thought was pretty good was to forget the "fake" fan vote and instead have a contest whereby the winner(s) could choose one or two artists of their liking to be included in the next class. As well, there were only two highlights for me and that was Kate Bush's induction, even though she didn't attend and that's due to her huge fear of flying!

On one of the Zeppelin groups I'm in, I noticed a ton of emails going out earlier today. I haven't looked at any of them yet but now I know what is probably being shared there!
The first thing I thought when you mentioned JP played was "hmm, Robert Plant just saying Stairway. Is Jimmy doing this because of that or could something be going on"? Well I can definitely say I hope something is going on. They don't have a lot of time left to do something but if they do they better make it Led Zeppelin and include John Paul Jones! Here's hoping...

Here in Toronto I was so glad the local radio stations promoted everyone to vote Rush into the RRHOF in 2013 since the RRHOF was snubbing progressive rock acts. The introduction round when the MC said "and from Toronto" then the crowd erupted for 10 minutes was one of Geddy's greatest moments (that was a quote). Now that Neil has passed it was even sweeter Rush got inducted. To top it off they pulled in YES in 2014 and Geddy got to play bass in place of his idol Chris Squire who passed away, hats off to Yes for that substitution. As for the RRHOF I have mixed feelings with Dolly and Willie getting inducted, they are country. Why not Supertramp, Jethro Tull or a dozen other awesome bands that get ignored.
