my dog got hit by a car and all i can think of is this song. she was crying and in pain but i knew she was not going to make it she died in my arms.. RIP Vanilla i hope we meet again someday.

This film was highly underrated in my humble opinion. I always get emotional whenever I hear this song (it broke my heart when Zowie died). But today it was all I could do not to break down sobbing! I lost my best friend the other day (really, my only one true friend in the entire world), and words can not even begin to describe how much I miss him. My heart is forever broken, and my tears will NEVER stop falling. I hope you are in a better place munchkin. I miss you SO fucking much sweet boy. I didn't deserve it, but thank you for loving me. Wherever you are, I wish I could be there with you. This world is so cold and dark without you in it. How am I supposed to go on without you? Why did you have to leave me? 😭

This song perfectly sums up how I felt when my dog in his later years got canine dementia, he was my shadow and really affectionate and loving, playful/funny, and very smart, he got me through some very rough times just by being him, but once the dementia got hold of him,...it hurt to see his whole personality and quality of life slowly fade/get swallowed into the dementia fog and there was nothing I could do to stop it or save him. I remember one night towards the end kneeling on the floor gently holding his head, and talking to him trying desperately to awaken some small spark of him, not the shell dementia had reduced him to, but the real Bruce, if only for a second , and...nothing. . I had him PTS not long after and with vet advice because he had lost too much quality of life and it was only going to get worse. I was mourning him in a way before he even died, because it felt like I was caring for his still living body , but the part of Bruce that was Bruce? His soul or whatever you want to call it, that had already left and at least half crossed over and he couldn't be reached or respond to me or anyone else anymore. Human or animal victim, dementia is cruel. 😢

It’s me again. My dog of 5 years lost yesterday. He was a strayed dog. Hes loyal, smart and love us a lot. We drove thru the rain to get him to the clinic but then he lost blood, and died in my arm…I feel like I was responsible for the his death. I feel awful and guilty. Seeing him there, all memories traced back, a deep hole of emptiness is dwelling in me…😢 it’s just a terrible time… and I feel like I can’t stand up anymore!
