I listen to these, Astrum and History of the Universe videos to sleep. And nothing works better! Don’t get me wrong I’ve listened to and heard all of these videos probably a dozen times but I usually find something new I learn with each viewing.

Well that was a dense but lovely data dump, stitching together fleeting scraps I've picked up here and there from popular science news sites about discoveries of our Milky Way's satellite dwarf galaxies, then stitching all of it into a comprehensive, cohesive narrative, or panoramic view. And we haven't even gotten to the Magellanic Clouds yet!
Nick, I hope you guys go really in depth on the Triangulum, so near and (relatively) massive, yet we hear so little about this intergalactic next-door neighbor, with Andromeda drawing all of the attention.

Had no idea so many of our satellites are such ancient little guys. I suppose it makes sense if the Milky Way has been sucking out all the gas for billions of years.
The first 1/ 3 of the video got me a bit hyped for the local group video!! "The Council of Giants" is such an incredible name. Always wanted to give props to the one who came up with that.

This discussion of "satellites of satellite galaxies" got me wondering: from a practical perspective, how many levels of satellites can reasonably exist? At the largest scale, galaxies can orbit a galaxy cluster - superclusters are not gravitationally bound, so no orbits there. Given that there exists an upper bound to the size of a satellite system, it seems quite likely that there also exists an absolute maximum number of levels of satellite-of-a-satellite that could possibly exist.
