Drawing Cherry Blossoms in Illustrator CC 2017

How to draw cherry blossoms in Illustrator 2017.
Apply different techniques, rotate from a different point center.
Duplicate and rotate objects.
Create shapes from circles. (Ellipse Tool)
Apply color blends.

I don't understand one thing though, when I shrink the size of the copied pistils, the horizontal and vertical ones end up being way thicker than the ones that are at an angle. Either way, great tutorial. :P

Thanks for your comment! Check 2:27 before doing your small pistils.
When you draw the very first pistil
1. go to Object > Expand > click ok on the Fill & Stroke dialog box.
2. Select the line and the circle and click Unite on the pathfinder pallette.
That way you don't have a stroke but a shape.
Also, on your Transform panel uncheck Scale Strokes and Effects.
