If you can express your interest in an email and have actually spent time on researching the field and maybe can understand couple of research papers about it, you can start writing prof. to explain why you would like to do an internship

Hey, I would recommend starting early, especially if you are looking for a master level degree. Try to get in touch with professors who have similar research interests. Some professors might not like the idea of an email before you actually get admitted, so be careful on how you craft that email.

You should- its not uncommon for a professor to accept interns even when they've reached their max limit. If you can impress them with your profile, that's all it takes!

hey I am a high school student who wants to email a professor and impress them and possibly get a positive reply. Since u mentioned that we should read reasearches/ works published by professors and mention that in our email to have a good impression of us on them, how can I as a high school student do? :( I tried to read the professors work but i couldnt understand anything bcs I just passed out of high school and have no knowlege in my field what so ever. What can I do? any suggestions?
You don't have to understand every single word of a research paper, start by reading abstracts and then google every word you don't understand, make notes!

How much does a professors interest affect admission decision?. I had gotten a a positive reply from a professor who told me he would get in touch with the admission chair however I was rejected from the university. A lot of replies I had gotten were for example, " I am interested to take you, please let me know if you are admitted". Do professors actually have a say in the admission comittee?
Depends from college to college, recently I have noticed professors have a lot of say in Canadian universities, whereas in USA students still has to clear the graduate dept. before anything

I have completed my 10th and have 2 research papers published in London Journal Press. Will these help?

Hi, how long should we take to send a follow-up email to the professor for supervision? And can we send mail during weekends too?
I usually wait about 6-7 days and then do a follow up email. I wouldn’t recommend sending them emails during weekend as there is a high chance they won’t see it till Monday!

Yes definitely! Am maybe after your first semester, reach out for an RA position and use your college email ID mentioning that you are a current student. Good luck!

And I can work there as anything to live but afford travel costs is really hard
