  • Two Gun Terry & Friends - As you know I am a speed shooter. 35 yards max is typically as far as is needed in Steel Challenge, USPSA, Action Steel and other assorted run and gun formats. HOWEVER, while at the 2020 World Speed Shooting Championships at the famed, gorgeous and high tech CMP Marksmanship Park in Talladega, Alabama I knew I would need a break. With this in mind I purposely brought along my brand new MPA BA Competition Pro rifle chambered in 6MM Creedmoor. She's an amazing work of art. A Masterpiece perhaps??? See my first shots with this awe inspiring long gun and my first ever past 200 yards!

      I'm a Steel Challenge speed shooter, but I like any type of shooting sport. This was my first time shooting 600 yards. Trust me.... It was the rifle... I just pulled the trigger!!! LOL How do you like the 7PRC? Thanks for watching, Terry

    Nice shooting, I'm saving for that rifle now. Another vid that confirms how good a rifle this is. Thanks for posting. I'm also going to give that range a visit when I head down that way in my motor coach.

      Hi B Quint, thanks for checking out my CZcams channel and watching the many videos I've posted as I get out to the range and compete or just try some new things.
      I hope you are still saving for your rifle. Better yet, perhaps you have already purchased one! I can't say enough about the Masterpiece Arms precision rifles. They are super accurate, reliable and look amazing! It is such a soft shooter that several Range Safety Officers have commented that it doesn't move at all when benchrest shooting. I promise to create a review video in the very near future.
      In fact, I'm going to a 900 yard range next week. My first time shooting out past 600 yards. I will try to make a video if the range allows it and post it right here on CZcams to share the experience.
      My main mission on CZcams is to promote the shooting sports and dispel the many fallacies surrounding firearms and firearm owners in general. So again, thank you for watching and thank you for your comment. Please share the videos with your friends and subscribe if you haven't already. There are over 150 videos on my channel and there is bound to be something that interests everyone who stops by! Thanks, Terry

      Hi Bill, Thank you for your comments. Im still working on finding ranges in my area to shoot at a distance. The on in the video is 10 hours away!!! Toooo bad. It's a gorgeous range and high tech. The new rifle is amazing. It definitely made me look like a much better shot than I am! At last for now. LOL. Take care, Terry

      Thank you Steve W! When it come to long range shooting I'm a rookie with amazing equipment. I believe in "buy once, cry once". Once you know you are going to stick with any sport get quality equipment so you know any mistake are yours... not the equipment. In time, I hope to shoot as well as my equipment can.

    It helps a lot if you open the bolt before you check the chamber.

      Thanks for visiting. This video was my first time shooting at distance. Since then I've shot 900 yards hitting the target regularly. I always wondered if you could actually see the target that far away. Gratefully, I could see the 9" plate 1/2 mile away. No problem!

    • @TwoGunTerry
      @TwoGunTerry  Před 2 lety +1

      To clarify, I couldn't see the 9" plate with my bare eyes but I could see the target perfectly through my Crimson Trace 24X scope!

    Nice groups. Take it out to 1000. 600 is child's play for that cartridge.

      Hi Paunchous Pilot ! Thanks for watching my videos. I really appreciate it! Youre right, 600 yards was easier than I expected it to be. I was able to shoot 900 yards at the Volusia Gun Range outside Daytona, Florida not too long ago. My Crimson Trace Scope held it's own with crystal clear views. Hit after hit at a 9" plate at half mile. That's pretty cool for a long range rookie like me!! Still, head shot at 900 yards. Not to shabby! Happy Holidays, Two Gun Terry

      Masterpiece Arms is outstanding! It definitely makes me look like I know what I'm doing but trust me...it's all the rifle! You will be very, very happy! Enjoy, Terry

    Hi Terry, may I ask what ammo you were using? I have this exact rifle and with the Hornady 90gr GMX, I'm not able to shoot more than about a 1.5 MOA group at 100 yards. I'm assuming a heavier bullet will help significantly.

    • @TwoGunTerry
      @TwoGunTerry  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Kcobean! Thank you for watching my videos. I have been shooting heavier bullets. Federal Gold Sierra Matchking 107 grain with outstanding results! Good luck, Terry

      @@TwoGunTerry thank you! I’m not reloading yet so I bought some 108 gr Hornady ELDs. Will be re-zeroing this weekend.

      Funny, I'm trying the same ammo next time out. I have a couple of Steel Challenge matches back to back for the next couple of weeks but cant wait to shoot the rifle again!

      Hi John, welcome to the channel. That was actually my very first time shooting over 200 yards. So to answer your question, no, they were Hornady Black factory loads. Frankly, I was shocked by the results too! My best guess is it was the Masterpiece Arms rifle that performed so well. I just pulled the trigger...... gently!!! Take care, Terry

    Why would you put a C T scope on that gun????

    • @TwoGunTerry
      @TwoGunTerry  Před 2 lety +1

      I was looking at NightForce and others. They are great scopes but expensive. Usually I buy once cry once but in this case I took a chance on my Crimson Trace Optics Sport Riflescope 6-24x56mm MOA/FFP with MR1-MOA with Illuminated Reticle, 2 Series CSA-2624. It's a hell of a scope for under $1000. I highly recommend it. I've been shooting out to 600 yards with no issues. It clear, rugged, has all the specs I wanted, and does the job. Still I dream about the birthday a serious scope is in a gift wrapped box for dear ole dad!
      What scope do you recommend? I am also in the market for a spotting scope. I've been looking at the Vortex Viper. Is it any good? The Razor is twice as much but if you tell me that's what I need for 1000-1400 yards I would have to look harder. BTW, Is there a website where they shooters sell quality scopes and spotting glass? Thanks, Terry
