  • You asked us to outline the difference between these two ATVs so Luke parked two of our long-term 1000R test units out in the driveway and went over all the details of each of them pointing out all the similarities and differences that make these units unique after putting loads of miles on each and using them in just about every scenario we could imagine you'd put them through too.

    In the XXC 2018 to 2019 they are a lot of differerence:
    +2" wider arms
    More travel suspension
    Curver arms
    ITC Throttle modes
    Mud extensions
    ....

      I have experience on both I would lean toward building a dps over both to keep the overall money spent down but if you dont want to turn a wrench both of these machines are very close to perfect for the majority of riders out of the gate

    • @atvpunisher51
      @atvpunisher51 Před 4 lety +1

      @@mattbarrois8675 Thanks! Main reason is the Dashboard. Plus the fox shocks, sway bar, etc is why I'm leaning towards the XTP over the others. Really by the time you spend on buying the upgraded parts, you'll be at the XTP price point more likely. Plus I won't buy until the fall next year when the newer models come out and they put the others for sale. Waiting to see if they do anything different for the 2021 models before possibly getting the 2020 next year. They are sure a lot of money.

      In my experience, yes. My Outlander has 7,621 miles on it. Engine issues? None. I use a Maverick belt on mine. Works excellent. I ride it harder than most do. The only thing that has worn out were my original tires, obviously due to the amount of miles. It does get warm but it has never overheated enough to get it in limp mode. The only other thing that has worn out is the copper piece in the headlight cluster. My bright lights will fail from time to time due to a poor connection. It’s a simple & inexpensive fix. I highly recommend buying a Outlander. It’s also nice to have that amazing power on tap. That always gives you a ear to ear grin. Fun. Reliable. Powerful. Yes. Definitely worth every penny IMO.
