    The Jeter card comes from a 2000 Subway Series box set from Topps. There was one token card per box. The checklist has at least 25 cards and Jeter is the most desirable in the set.

    I like seeing Stan Musial on these regular rollers videos. 37 bucks for Musial when Brock Purdy cards were selling for 3700 hundred. It's an easy decision even in a PSA 4 grade.

      What was on the back? Could it be a Sport card magazine card insert? The card looks like some one with printing skills made it. I mean look at the blue borders, the same fleer font and a brightened up minor league photo of griffey perfectly cropped. Someone took their time to make it.

    About a year ago I was getting ready to sell a sealed lot, mostly 86-93 sealed wax boxes, and I came across a long box with a bunch of single packs. I decided to open the packs for nostalgia because I already knew I was going to take a hit on the sealed boxes so the loose packs weren't going to fetch anything. I ended up pulling a 92 Score DiMaggio autograph.

    Chris, unrelated question: on Greg Morris consignments, Could use your advice on sending vintage sets including commons. Do you send low value cards that may sell for the .79 that could be consumed by the surcharge and % or do you have a floor? ie: only cards that could fetch $5 or more? Thanks for your advice

    The 1987 Griffey should have been titled and fan concept card. People went crazy over the 1989 Fleer Billy Ripken obscene card. Like you said the black box and original error are not very valuable and extremely over produced. The other corrections are very value able. The Black scribble is the most findable. The white scribble and white box are substantially very rarer and valued than the other 3 variations . I completed that PC set a few years ago. I wish I could post for everyone to see. I sent Chris a email with a picture for my PC. If I could suggest to watch the You Tube pod cast where he explains why that happened. It's kind of funny.

    Also, I can't help but notice that the $400 Jeter card sold with $6 shipping, which is a pet peeve of mine. There's no way that should be shipped without $400 worth of insurance, and $6 isn't covering that, never mind the other shipping costs. Either charge the real cost of shipping or make it free.

      @KipArmadillo Před 3 měsíci +1

      Agreed. The generic, blanket "error" descriptor is technically inaccurate. It's not an "error" that Ripken wrote that on his bat - it was intentional! 😂 I guess it was an "error" that Fleer overlooked the profanity and allowed its production - but it should probably more accurately be called a variation or a short print or something.
