RIP Andrew .... Your light will always shine bright .
itchy robot if you don’t like it then simply JOG ON ... no one is bothered about your boring comments ... go back to your boring life which I’m sure is soooo much more interesting than Mr Weatherall’s .
@ I never knew about him until he passed, I can tell that there is a lot to learn from Weatherhall, and I can tell that you're a bit of a dick also
itchy bottom ~ Yeah,
What gives you the insensitive to come on this comment section and Slag off one of the Nicest & most talented people of a musical Generation.
So Just What have you done with your Life ?
And Just what have you Got to Show for it ?
if ya don’t Like him why don’t ya Fuck off & watch something that you enjoy you Nasty, Disrespectful Wanker ! !
Andrew Weatherall is to me, one of founders of our music scene. When I found out, I wanted it to be fake news. This man has long been an idol of mine. When I discovered his name years and years ago, he laid me on to most of the names I still listen to now.
Gutted is an understatement. His music will forever be timeless because we know how important he is. He was a very funny man, but very wise in his words, he upholds the name a Selector. Because this man is in every essence of the word, DJ. One of the greatest of all time. RIP Andrew. You'll shine on in many of our hearts and minds.
Lord Sabre!
I still remember when kiss f.m hired Andy in the early 90’s to play dance music so he plays a ‘Can’ live track for 17 mins. They showed him the door eventually...class act!
dude fuck do you remember those days kiss was pirate an cool and pills were fucking ace, oh fuck i miss my youth. peace be with you brother.
German Techno culture of the 90s is nice, but the Rave scene you Brits have established in that time is something different. Pure magic
I remember dropping FSOL papeu New Guinea on Kiss FM.
He also did a great remix.
Music needs more Andrew Weatheralls. What a beautifully eloquent exponent of the art form.
Weathers and Mad Monks On Zinc were a match made in heaven. When he dropped that immense gem of a track it was meltdown time.
His enthusiasm for music is so intoxicating! R. I. P. Maestro
RIP my man! So many great curated music you introduced to me. We will miss your monthly sets and your Sisters and Brothers intro.
What a fantastic human being! So many great times in my life were spent listening and dancing to Andrew Weatherall. So sad you left us too soon..
Never sold out for the big bucks.
R.I.P. Mr. Weatherall. Thanks for the memories man.
"Just fuckin' destroy it!"...love it. and so he did..for the next 25 plus years...Rest in Power Lord Sabre.
Best DJ I ever had the pleasure of hearing. Stone cold legend. RIP.
Today there are a thousand dj's who all sound the same. They can't piece together a mix that is outside their genre or era. Here's a dj who hears the connection between rockabilly and disco which probably sounds insignificant to electronic musicians. Having the ear to mesh 2 songs together is THE skill that a dj is supposed to have. His art of mixing tracks was expansive and each mix has surprises and a different vibe. We need more dj's who learn to mix at his level.
Some of the best Nights out of my Life were Dancing to the amazing Music of our Mr Andrew Weatherall Back in the Days Of The SHAVE YER TONGUE
That was some of His best performances to Date Especially when he played in the Back Room.
That is when he started to experiment with the harder styles of Techno and Harder House Music.
Fucking Brilliant set & unforgettable memories
Everyone that was there was experiencing a new phenomenon.
God Bless Andrew Weatherall for Bringing so many good memories & giving us so much Happiness in our Life’s .
R.i.P my Brother x x 🎧
“Fail we may, sail we must”. RIP to a real creative maverick.
RIP Andrew and thanks for all the remixes1989-2019
A talent that will be missed.
Ben Dover ~ Yeah,
if you are referring to Andrew Weatherall.
He Did & Lot more than Just play Records Ben .
He produced some of the best records known to modern day music.
What He Did with Loaded by Primal Scream comes to mind to but a few . .
And as for playing Records is concerned, if you had seen him on the Decks back in the early 1990’s he played the Turntables Like a fantastic instrument .
He would create a brand new sound by blending together to very different Records.
Please don’t be so Quick to Judge mr Ben Dover . .
The Man was a Genius in his field.
Please Leave the Hate at Home my friend.
itchy bot ~ Yeah,
So What Do you Like then ?
And why are you spending your time in the comments section of something that you think is Crap!
RIP Andy, a true musical pioneer.
Such a talent & so omnipresent it still feels strange he's not with us anymore...I'm still guted & actually felt proud of being non conformist person from an English background due to humble good c***s like Weatherall that are a shining example of how to be the best version of yourself possible...A constant inspiration & kick up the backside, big love
RIP A True Maverick and Legend . You will be Sorely missed Xx
The true master remixer and selector...
Great video.
I grew up listening to John Peel.
Went to see Andrew DJ in Sheffield in the early nineties, with the then relatively unknown Chemical Brothers.
Spent far too many Saturday nights at the Afterdark.
"Never limit your escape routes." RIP
Am just about to write something about a record called Accidents and needed something to hang the whole piece off - will be using the quote “I’ve always loved mistakes; it’s the hidden beauty in all art” so thanks yet again, Andrew
Really interesting interview. What a legend :)
Best DJ of all time.
Blessings to a legend, interviewed him for a local magazine back in the 90's, was a huge fan too, stunning works and will be missed / TREPANIC
True about the ‘too much jam’ analogy. RIP legend
What a geeza. So much hardship suffered by our kind during these days of glory. A day one master from the days of analogue only, pulling digital perfection back to have character. Live imperfections shine through. I agree.
Sea u on the udder side.
The best dj ever... I remember when he blew the roof off at Venus in Nottingham many years ago... and pulling up on his Harley Davidson at Camber Sands... YOU HAD STYLE AND A GENIUS YOU WERE. RIP ANDY X
' you have very hot records, Ja...' RIP my brother
Thanks for opening so many doors, Andrew.
Andrew knew MP3s are a bad sound. Hearing him on vinyl in the early 90s was warm.
R.I.P. Legend.
Andy wonderful human being always makes me laugh in interviews. We lost one of the greatest.
Fail we may, sail we must!!
RIP ANDREW WEATHERALL X
R.I.P. Thanks for the music ..!
Brilliant Live is Weatherall
RIP - glad he left so much incredible music behind.
RIP - a true legend
He mentions Dennis Wilson: That's definitely a plus-point in my book! 🙂
He's a good lad!
R.I.P. Andrew
True legend.
Much respect
Fascinating guy. RIP.
Kills me that only a few people had questions for the greatest remixer of all time. If I was there they would have had to pry the microphone form my hand.
Matt Fulkerson Humble gent. Most eclectic Dj I’ve ever heard. The same man who djs Rockabilly as easily as Electro, Cosmic Disco ,Dub .Reggae n still relevant n pushing the envelope 25 years later. Absolute genius . This is fucking shit he’s gone.
Everything as Two lone swordsmen . .Produced Primal Scream . Smokebelch is a masterpiece. Haunted dancehall. Remix of Villalobos Dexter is a masterpiece. Guy who djs rockabilly .House . His own distinctive style ofDisco. Playing n making Electro. Two Lone swordsmen made kinda indie Punky breakbeat as easily as 150 bpm banging Electro produced Primal Scream, can remix an absolutely minimal Villalobos track,do a very very different that is almost the art of a remix . Shitload of other stuff.
Everything that a DJ should be . It is fucking shit he’s gone
Kills me I live in Madrid and never knew this was happening! :( I would have so loved to have gone. RIP
@@ECLECTOb Yeah, dude, I've been in pain for ten days now. This has hit me like a hurricane, seriously. I've been a MASSIVE follower of Weatherall's since 1990 and never let up. I literally have every single thing he's done, I mean, hundreds of records with his name on it, and all of it good. Then there are all the CD-rs of his DJ mixes. Just a massive Weatherall shrine, I've got. Maybe bordering on the unhealthy, but whatever, the guy has been a positive force for over half my life now. And forgetting about the music, Weatherall was just a man's man, like you said. Down to earth and a historic sense of humor. The world honestly seems weirder now. I haven't quite been able to cope with this loss yet.
And you would not have got answers. Stop putting your heroes on pedestals. They are just like you and me. No answers.
An absolute legend. RIP
You sure you were there (presenter) because I was & still remember & I dived in Deep!
This guy is Fucking legend.R.I.P Andy.
excellent interview. proper chap.
My guess is the 6 people who downvoted this have never heard of Throbbing Gristle.
Nice to hear a shout out to After Dark in the Orbit Morley. Sadly no more. But since it came into the clubs until recently, Legendary.
A TRUE GENIUS!
Such a lovely person
Rest in peace ✌️
Legend 🇬🇧
RIP legend
rip Andy
Actuality!
The cramps!
Blue Sunshine
By the Meteors
Was one of his favourite tunes from that genre
R.i.P Brother x
You will never Die with the Music that you have left us with !
RIP to an LEGEND
The chat at approx 5:00 regarding mp3 and bandwidth compression. If the original sound is recorded at a certain bitrate frequency the loss is less depreciation. Observation , music is made up of harmonics, for some they cannot tell the difference between audio wav or mp3. Certainly mainstrean pop music, who cares until we start to go further into specialist music genres.
Red Bull Muzik Academy Extra Bull Info. My project at Polytechnic was Noise impairments in Audio Signal, which in a certain reference terms, Human Voice was calculated at approx just below 4 KHz. This is still valid today, hence the benchmark was set, but we have so many different formats today and digital analogue KJ I will shut up know. Red Bull Academy.
I was also a bit partial to a bit of Bananarama.
Those are some mongo super-sized Genelecs, almost distracting in the interview, great upload BTW, Andrew was such a pioneer, took Primal Scream to a much higher orbit
The Wedding Present: Too much apple pie.
That guy in the trilby hat on his phone so many times while the great Andrew Weatherall is in the room.... jeeezzzzz.... I mean even if it's not your cup of tea how about showing a little bit of courtesy? You will be very much missed Mr. Weatherall, a unique talent and visionary in the music world - RIP
maybe he HAD to be on the phone cause his daughter or son was in hospital or anything. I think you're just overreacting or just trying to gather some attention for your own art here. in which case I'll just say stfu.
RIP Andy
RIP.
but also, thats Om Unit asking the first question innit?
Seen the Ben ufo one and we heard all the tunes zz why is this edited out ?
Rest In Sonic Bliss
If you want to hear the whole Soft Rocks remix, who they were good friends with AW, they are now honouring him by giving it away free ;)

You're welcome x
Why on all of Red Bulls YT interviews do you skip the song? We want to hear what he is talking about!
Fini Tribe.
RIP Weatherall
Redbull music academy is great but how they couldn't figure out how to play tracks off the internet is pretty boggling.
Whos doing the interview? Shes very good.
Did people actually think 'Too much jam' or were they just still trying to get through the 5 different flavours they bought the week before 😂
They don't make them like that anymore RIP Andrew Weatherall
How could he not like the Balcony Monkeys?
There’s to much JAM so people are now making there own JAM
What?! They cut his records ☹️
They do this on all red bull lectures now. Tunes are in the description below the video
I found this very interesting. The host has very attractive legs too. Couldn't help but notice that.
Tunes being cut off . Not happy .. rip man .. fk sake
Good producer of sounds. Poor producer of words.
I really enjoyed this. Weatherall was pure class! I can't help but feel he wasn't impressed with the interviewer lol. I could tell she was a mad fan but was being a bit of a bitch to him at some stages. lol.
So sad. RIP Andrew.
Awful host.
F red bull
...and these people are WHO?
Christ, that interviewer is awful.
@@norepetitivebeats "Ricardo Villalobos" - "non" - oh, wait "nein". He is actually Chilean...
