This is my review of my initial impressions of my new 2019 Suzuki Jimny. Driving up the West Coast of Grenada and a little off road into farm lands in the jungle.
I drive the 3rd generation jimny, we did a 4000km trip through Botswana with all our gear including a camping fridge... you eventually become quite creative and efficient when packing a Jimny. With some experience you can do seriously long trips into very remote areas.
I live in a farm in the outskirts of Bogotá, Colombia. It's quite hilly over here (at least 2,600 Metres above sea level). I recently purchased one of these, without any expectation. I'm seriously impressed especially during the rainy season. It doesn't get stuck and the performance is more than OK for such high altitude...
it's a fantastic car, just amazing value. there many reasons why jimny is beloved by millions of people. those reasons are: shape. size. quality. price. fuel-consumption. practicality. durability, reliability, rigidness, low-maintenance. simplicity. offroad-capability. frame-truck-basedness. its just unbelievably cool. thats why the Suzuki factory can not keep up with great demand in the world.
cant wait to get mine, Paid my deposit and now the 12 month waiting period starts we allready have a few companies in south africa designing proper replacement bumpers
Owned what we called a Suzuki Samurai 4X4 here in Canada & was the best car I've ever owned, just bullet proof... hope the new product are still built as tough ;-)
Right! Just to complain after that it has only 2 doors, that doesn't have enough boot space, not enough power and it looks every year the same. The American market doesn't deserve that.
I was wondering why where you're driving seems so familiar! I'm grenadian & this is the car I'm gonna get myself! I've seen your car parked up a few times but never the driver. Believe me I would have asked you questions had I seen you as well.
I hope they make a bigger brother version of the Jimny like a 5 door Jeep wrangler style that you can get as a family car/ off road adventure vehicle :) I love the Jungle Green colour!
@Suzukisanall Suzuki needs to do now is update their Grand Vitara and they will be leading the market in my opinion for looks value and engines that keep on running!
I am 1.80 (5.9 inches) and I had no issues sitting in the back. :) Trust me, if you ever find yourself in the back of an "Audi TT", you will think of Jimny as some sort of a Rollls Royce Phantom :)). I find it a great car (I mean Jimny) for the city and after driving my Chevy suburban it fits right into the downtown traffic and you can easily find a parking gap. :)
Wow, a 4x4 owner who lives in a place where you NEED a 4x4; apposed to a city person who wants a fashion accessory. Great vid, I like this car a lot... however I live in a city in England, so I won't be buying one...
Same here, I'd really like one but my daily drive is all dual-carriageway... Can't really justify it! Not to mention the dealer round the corner says it's still an 18 month wait...
Well your series two is going to feel kinda shit soon in comparison to series 4...series 3 was fine actually streets a head of series two. Mine has sat nav dvd cd tv hand free phone entertaiment system of 1100 watts and two led light bars duel battery system and a moab thile 690t roof basket and the best up grade of all an arm rest... but i know how you feel..take go pro i never bought abything after hd3 because they had glitches galore. Series 4 will wait a year to see what it has.in mean time in very happy with my series 3 jimny though would love to find a lj50 loved the sound of the two stroke 550cc motor.
In every single video ive watched i hear people blabbering an complaining about that it doesnt have more power.. is it an exceptional 4x4? yes. quit your yaping then
Nice, yeah I got an auto as well so that my partner could drive it more easily. I wanted the manual and was a bit worried about the auto but I actually quite like it
@@craigsparks1442 I hate your comments because it's true :( If Jimny was turbo diesel, it would out sell ALL off road vehicles. Its so obvious, idk why a company doesn't do it. Just roxor tried if but it's sold as a side by side....

Price? 24000 € is fucking overpriced
Thank you for choosing Jimny. With love from Japan. You also have a samurai! I used to ride the 1980 Jimny SJ30.

we need this in the US!

NIce car and review, this is probably the only review of the new Jimny with an automatic. 👍🏻
It's never going to be a bad day driving the Jimny on that coastline. Great video
who could have thought a car that modeled from a box could could look so good
Today, here in Casablanca, Morocco, I paid the deposit for a medium grey Jimny 5 speed MT. I have to wait until august 2019 too 😭!
Damn, I feel your pain
@@thomasappelflap4433 Thanks! ,😄
long waiting list here in the philippines.
I supposed you already have your Jimny by now. How is it? Are you satisfied?
The Japanese love these new Jimny's this is why they are so hard to get hold of over in Europe! :)
Impossible to buy one - only wait from 8-12 month :( Suzuki needs to increase production due to high demand

Audi TT seats are like the boot size of the jimny. Cant believe they are aloud to get away with calling it a 4 seater.
..excellent review!...love this little 4x4..
this makes me want to live in Grenada
This review must be come from a true Jimny lover, nice!
This dream ride of mines just needs little more speed an more trunk space .
There is probably an argument to be made that this is not a rational purchase. You just love the little jeep in spite of it's flaws.
An island is the perfect place for the Jimny. It’s an amazing location! Great review!👍
I totally agree. I'm living on the Island of Sint Maarten and it is the perfect vehicle in my opinion.
@Cuddly Cat Yes, Dutch Side.
Great video!
please upload more about it
In Croatia you also need to wait for new Jimny for 10 months😀
Great review!
Good review. thanks.
I have my subaru sti and jimny and all i an say is i absolutely adore my little suzuki

Nice honest review. 👍
Beautiful car
Suzuki please release the jimny in canada!
The U.K SZ5 model has a roof rack as an optional extra for £309, the SZ4 version doesn't.
We need this in canada 😢
Jimny plant is already delayed by over 2 years in India
Great place u choose as a resting spot. Peaceful Carribean wonder's
Nice car!
Ouch. I have a Crosstrek and being unfavorably compared to it for power is pretty bad. I love the look of the Jimny, though.
Nice!! where do you live?
Sounds pretty slick with the auto box, how are the changes with that and is it reasonably smooth ? Nice review, thanks.
The auto transmition seems just fine so far.
Which place is this ?

damn, grenada looks a lot like countries in south east asia
Thanks for that I was trying to make out where their is!
In every single video ive watched i hear people blabbering an complaining about that it doesnt have more power.. is it an exceptional 4x4? yes. quit your yaping then
It's feels plasticy on the dash board you touched because it is made from plastic! What did you expect wood?
ماشاء الله 🤍
What country is this?
Grenada
Automatic or manual transmission?
The dealership only brought in one Jimny, and all they had was this automatic.
Nice, yeah I got an auto as well so that my partner could drive it more easily. I wanted the manual and was a bit worried about the auto but I actually quite like it
@@grenadalime Reviews say the auto is the better buy. So you have done well.
Are you Mathew Hayden?
suzuki- turbodiesel please!
they'll be electric before turbo diesel
