- A friend of mine and I tracked down and was able make a purchase on this unbelievable car hidden for decades and totally unknown to the Supercar Registry, Muscle Car, and Chevelle communities, this 1969 COPO 9566 AA 427 Chevelle is 1 of only 2 Tuxedo Black with manual trans ever to surface. It hails from Landers Chevrolet a small Chevrolet dealership in Hurricane, West Virginia that was also responsible for the sale of a Tuxedo Black 1969 427 COPO Camaro as well.
This guy sounds so honest I bet you could play dice with him over the phone.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂
Jerry you are such a honest guy....
Please stop saying " you'll bring the best you can"...
Please if ANYBODY comments you saying your a terrible videographer...
I will personally kick there ass...
You do better than ANYONE...
YOUR THEE BEST BROTHER..❤❤❤👍✌🇺🇸😎
That’s how they getcha. I have a tenant like that, lol !!
Wanna play dice???? But you gotta bet really really high and I’ll let you know how you turn out
Dam Patrick, I'm 67 years old, I was a sophomore in high school, in 69. The 69 chevelle's and especially the elcamino's have always been my favorite chevys. Have never seen a COPO one before. Thanks brother you just made my day a lot sunnier! Love your channel, can't wait to see a 70 W-30 442 find. Wyoming Ron. I live in Cheyenne.
That's an excellent car. I just love the sound of a GM A body door opening. They were put together so well. The guy that ordered that car didn't want frills, he wanted to go fast. And I guarantee that car delivered!
An amazing survivor car. One can only imagine how many street racers fell victim to this sleeper Malibu. A truly awesome find. I look forward to your follow up video on this one.
I agree, a true SLEEPER!
@Geo Thomas Yes, that 427 idle will give it all away!! What an incredible find!! Thanks Patrick!!
Chevelle Malibu is a trim on Chevelle especially in 69 its a Chevelle not a Malibu
A true factory sleeper ONE HELL OF A FIND WOW only 328 made that is awesome
Wow!!! That's definitely a funky order package! But what a score, and the low mileage is insane!!!! Dang! Great to see her tucked away indoors too!!! Thanks again Patrick. Sweet!!!
Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor... holy grail Chevelle. What a survivor , unbelievable
yes, this is definitely a Holy Grail . . .
If the guy who owned it needed a left ball he just got it for this car.
Just when you think his videos can’t get any better, Patrick hits a home run again!
Out of the park for sure:)
Jb 1 no cheaters here👍👌💪
The man is amazing to say the least
Yes he is amazing in locating this stuff and the gold he finds is the real star.
Wow the title description got me alone
what a shame she hasn't seen the road, all that power and she's sittin' in some Godforsaken garage that is a true shame!
Great find , so happy I kept my 71 GrandPrix , 2nd owner , have had it since 87 , love the old classics , drive my Pontiac every nice day. Keep these cars alive , love these videos.
How cool does that phrase sound "central office production order" - awesome - hope the car only gets recommisioned, and left as a survivor.
Makes a grown man cry with excitement seeing yet another COPO survivor and in such awesome one owner condition! Definitely one worthy of keeping Original. Thanks for bringing this to us Patrick! Zip~
Lucky it found a building to sleep in for so many years!!! And she's a beaut Clark!!! To think someone ordered this car from some dealer, flippen AWESOME!!!
Good to see another owner who cared enough to keep a classic like this on the inside!
That is the best find since I've been watching. Wow.
The discovery of something like that is as exciting as anything, buying it would be the next. I wouldn't want to disturb the dust on it. 😬😄
WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE FIND!! THE PERFECT SURVIVOR!!
Survivors have ALL original equipment, this can not be documented as a survivor all because the master cylinder was changed and smog equipment was removed.

Great Great Find... I totally see why your friend Jumped on the purchase of this car.. I also think this car deserves another video.. Again. .Awesome car..
Blown away again, great work brother. Thanks to you and all your contacts for the time and work !!! Wesley-Sevier Co,Tn
I believe you've found a gem...love to see a follow up.
Wow! They are still out there. Thnx PGN for presenting.
I live about 10 mins away from where this car sat for so many years. It wasn't hiding. Some locals knew what it was and where it was. The car has also been repainted around '75-'76. I think I know who the new owner is as well but haven't confirmed this yet but if I'm correct the car only moved a couple hundred yards to it's new owner and will be very well taken care of.
Love seeing the survivors, and a COPO at that. Hope it goes to a good home.💪
What an amazing barn find! I bet that car could tell some stories! Sure hope the new owner gets it road Worthy and keeps it original as possible!
Served in the Marines 1972 , boot camp was in South Carolina Parris Island . My DI ( Drill Instructor) had a beautiful blue 1969 Chevelle that he would drive in and out .
After serving my my duty and coming home I bought a 1970 SS 402/396 paid 1500.00 for a beautiful no rust car but never thought about getting a 1969, love it, they are gone now.
@Ringo Gingo, thank you for your service and Welcome Home!
Great story about your '70 SS396. I love my '70 SS454 (LS5) and hope to hang on to it if at all possible.
It's sad to think about all guys who bought these amazing cars before shipping out but, never got to come home and enjoy them.
At least everyone can now see and admire them on channels like this one.
This brings back memories. I had one of these back in the day. It was dark metallic blue with white vinyl top. Black interior, bench seat, 4 speed. I wish I knew if that car has survived.
1969 Chevelle is my favorite car. This COPO is gorgeous, great find!
So I just met the guy that bought this car. He turned me onto this video. He says hardly anybody comes up to talk to him about it. When I first saw it I thought it was just a 396 car (still really cool). He had a little print out in the windshield and I’m glad he did. What an absolute time capsule. He’s changing/fixing the bare essentials. Absolute time capsule
Patrick, I know you have been verifying and doing checks on guys cars and barn finds for years, but I'm wondering when you are going to learn a simple helpful tool to take along to help you with examining those precious cars and help us anxious viewers that subscribe to your blogs to see the cars. It's called a LIGHT! Get you good light source to light up those wonderful machines. Many thanks for all the great cars you have brought to our attention. Looking forward to see the next one.
I am just shocked beyond belief. You rock Patrick. A true modern day hero you are bringing these to us. I simply cannot believe we continue to discover the undiscovered. Remarkable and I learned an awful lot more from this video.
When i grew up my mother had a 69 SS with the 396 and 411 rear, she sold it in the early 80's for $800 bucks when everyone was trying to get rid of the gas guzzlers.. I think back on that now and it's like someone punched me in the gut.
How about 70-71 Cuda’s and Hemi Cuda’s? They said there were tons sitting on used car lots all over for years due to the gas crisis and insurance costs. Now they be worth millions
You never know what you’ll find in the hollers and hills of West Virginia!! Sweet find !!
It’s awesome the original owner had the idea to preserve this car.
Or he got pinched and never made it out.....hope not but it happens.
@ Aaron Anderson... and more than usual in WV !!!
Aaron Anderson ...A friend of mine bought a fifteen year old motorcycle (HD) with 60 miles on it! The original owner bought it but was arrested for DUI before he took delivery. (Another person rode it home from the dealer when it came in). The original purchaser got 90 days in jail but died before he got out.
Then the bike just sat in a garage where there was chickens. I saw it when my friend brought it home. It was covered in chicken shit, straw and the chickens ate away most of the seat.
Two days later it was shiny and looked brand new. I helped my friend change the original oil, it flowed out just like silicon caulking.
Awesome find, congratulations on a beauty. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video but, when you showed us the interior, my mind flashed back to the last time I sat behind the steering wheel of my 69 Chevelle SS 396. Pangs of regret flooded over me anew for trading it in.
Again, thanks for sharing.
Stan
Same here lots of memories of 69 Ss 396 canary’s yellow
@@vernt4583 Mine was Hugger Orange with a Black interior. My factory steering wheel was Brown, wood grained plastic or whatever material they used.
Harrison Mantooth I had a new 1969 Chevelle SS 396 L78 4 speed! I raced a friend who had a 1968 Chevelle SS 396 350hp automatic! We started size by side at a speed I was still in 1st gear. I never lifted my foot off the gas in all 3 shifts & the 68 sat right beside me to 120 mph. To say the least I was disappointed in my 375hp asI now believe they were under rated for insurance reasons! Plus I had to put up with valve adjustments on the L78!
Your a lucky man to get to see those kinda cars. Most ppl will never see
Super find! Hope new owner dosen't do much more than a clean up and straighten out any mechanical issues. It would be a great survivor car. Can't wait for the follow ups
If the new owner has sense, he goes for Concourse and either flips it for 6 figures or keeps it in his private collection stored away as his Someday retirement plan.
Fantastic specimen of a COPO Chevelle !!!! Always hear about the Camaro but here is the real deal !
One of the rarest awesome finds....for sure!!!!!!!!!!! Great video & thanks!!!!!
Keep up these excellent barn find videos. & stop saying sorry for bad lighting! We are all just glad you’re finding these cars
Ive owned 4 Chevelles got hooked with my first 67 purchased in California with 45000 miles. I had a 69 but I only paid 900 bucks for it , winter beater. This ones gotta be worth 100 Grand.
Wow! Amazing condition on this super rare Chevelle! Just shows you that these super rare cars are still out there somewhere. No telling what people have stashed away in sheds and buildings just waiting to be brought back to life.
Amazing that these cars just keep popping up...imagine all the stuff that we will find in years to come. 1969 COPO Malibu...thats amazing to say the least!
As us hot rodder/hoarder baby boomers die off you're bound to see lots more. For once i'de like to see him uncover a survivor 68-70 amx
That cars condition is amazing, I bet that paint would almost look new when clean, the dust protects that paint, I'd blow it off with a leaf blower than wash with a soft clothes.
A minor crack in dash, interior near perfect.
A good detail, and mechanics and drive.
Gas tank read full... Needs tank cleaned. Triple black must be really rare.
Only 323 of them were made total. One year only car and most dealers werent even aware of the COPO program
@@MidwestFarmToys that may compound out.
That's awesome I know someone with a 1971 tucked away in a barn with I believe 71k miles matching numbers beautiful car but full of dust
Always love your document ion of the great barn finds I learn something new from every time you share your knowledge! Thanks
Wow! How does a car like that survive so long without someone adding headers and changing out the crappy Muncie shifter?? Amazing!
Maybe one of the greatest muscle car barn finds of all time! Insane COPO Chevelle
This is a UNICORN. Goosebumps!!
I was truly blown away, unbelievable find!! Love it
Hit it out of the ball park.
Well done Patrick
That is one Beautiful Car! Nice Find!
Incredible...right across the river from me in WVa..wow..thank you Patrick..
Perfect in black, I'd like to see more of this one. What a find.
Patrick your the best Brother, keep'em coming Sir. 🇺🇸 MURICA!
The interior on that is way better than my '72 Impala I got with 49,000 miles it is damn perfect !!!
The Ultimate sleepers of their day. What a dream car.
Thanks for showing this treasure... definitely look forward to the follow up vid
I'll bet that baby stacked up some roadrunners and GTX,s on the streets back in the day ! Super find.
"alright alright alright"
outstanding find!!!
🤣
Do you have a copo chevelle?... itd be a lot cooler if you did.
He even sounds like an older Woodarson!
I know you did this over 3 years ago but these reveals are timeless! I think the original SS wheels are the most beautiful on the ‘69 Chevelle.
Do not touch it ... absolutely motor art exactly like it is ...amazing to me how no mice or rodents inhabited this car ...
Thank you Glen,
Puts Butterflies in the Stomach......
Mr. Patrick you don't have to apologize so much when you are filming because we are the lucky ones that you allow us to see your great videos. Thank you so much for your dedication to these great cars that so many people have forgotten.
Thanks Patrick, looking forward to seeing a follow up on this car
Probably my favorite car of all you have covered over the years.
The shape the interior is in remarkable. Thank you for the video Patrick true find.
I hope the owner got full value for this gem. Just when you think there’s no finds like this left....Patrick you are the Chevelle God!
You think? I'd send to Barrett Jackson and sell as is .
U sure do find them Patrick keep up the great work I love ure walk around videos !!😊
Amazing Find..The Interior is perfect.
This is one heck
of a car. Don't even bother restoring it, except etching off the rust and giving the paint a bit of a touch up. I'd love to hear that 427 do some talking.
@@MidwestFarmToys When the car is worth 6 figures, there are people who can make the original paint and touch up paint look new as if it was never touched.
Deserves a full resto. In Tuxedo Black the car will look amazing.
Absolutely amazing. Congrats to the new owner.
Nice car. Glad you found it. Always good to see you in your element. Enjoy
It's full of dust and it's beautiful. I would love to have one of those of the year 69. That is my dream ......
My dad has a 68 copo black on black 427 been in the back of his shop ever since I can remember he has to much stuff all around it to get inside he want let anyone touch it he is 71 and still loves that car he told me it had 41000 miles on it and he told me the only way my mom would go out with him was to sell that car or park it my mom said she was scared to death of it but my dad would not sell it so he put it in the back of his shop and put stuff all around it my mom passed last year and he said I would have to deal with it when he’s gone he want let me touch it
Earl Griffin You are very fortunate to receive that car ! Please don’t sell it .
Time to hire a hitman
John Vegar lol
Thank you Patrick, my favorite muscle is a Chevelle. I truly appreciate your knowledge and documentation of these bow tie GeM’s. A no thrills COPO 427 now that’s a sleeper. Keep the context rolling.
great find! it brings a tear to my eye.I can hear it run in my memories.please post another video of it running
Please do another video when you get this beauty up in the air. This car should be cleaned and left as found. Absolutely love your videos and your honest commentary and obvious delight is a breath of fresh air. thank you for what you do.
Wow Patrick, you've done it again!Just when I think you have found the Holy Grail, you top your self ..again! A base Chevelle with a Super Sport hood? Never knew there was such an animal.
NICE JOB!
Wow lucky man what a car
Simply Amazing!!!! And it’s ALL BLACK!!!! That’s the only color choice in my mind!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
This is one of my favorite videos you’ve done. I’ve known about copo’s but never seen one unless a Yenko counts
Amazing find! Thanks Patrick for showing us!
Thank you Lord for blessing us with 68-70 Chevelles.
WOW.....This car was built 6 months before man landed on the moon and the epic rock concert Woodstock as a point of reference.
Awesome barn find!
absolutely amazing ....wow
Great find. Nice to see one kept out of the elements.
Great find Patrick!
Would you do a video on a BB Vette in long term storage?
69 triple black conv 427...sitting since 1988.
Love the videos
When I watch these videos I think of the cars my friends and I would see on our used car lot cruises in 1978 1979. One that I can vividly remember was a 1970 chevelle ss silver black stripes, $1700 painted on the front window. Some one had taken the big block and put in a 307! I remember thinking how could someone do that! Also a 1969 road runner air grabber hood 4sp car, $850
Pat, epic, an amazing find. I enjoy all of your videos.
Thanks for sharing. Just dying to see it all cleaned up
Incredible find! Thank you for sharing.
I had a 68 chevelle back in the day. Bought it for $100 with a knocking engine. That car taught me hot rods and beginner carpenter wages($5.00 an hour) didnt go well together. Sold it for $150 😂😎
Gorgeous vehicle. If it’s ever buffed out/ cleaned up, I’d jump at the chance for a few great pictures.
Wow what a huge discovery. Awesome piece of history. I hope it has found a good home can’t wait to see it restored if in fact that is what your going to do maybe it’s worth more just leaving it as is
Wowzers!!!!
Great video and great find! Keep them coming!
FACTORY SLEEPER. Love it.thank you for showing it to us.
Simply awesome
Beautiful,it really has not been messed with.
It's a MIRACLE.
Absolutely awesome find !!
That’s a nice car. I wouldn’t even work on it until I did a full hand wash 2x. Than I would change all the fluids. Oil and filter first. New battery. And that air filter needs to be replaced too.
Thanks a lot from the videos always love to see the cars are looked into barns for 20 30 years old 😁
What a sweet find and lucky guy to take this home wow
