I'm back! I have planned for a while to take my content in a better direction and this is a small taste of it. Don't worry! Playthroughs will still be a thing, but I plan to edit those a little differently. The reasoning for this change is because 2021 has been the worse year for channel growth for me. I need to adapt to the new youtube algorithm and use the right keywords for the future content. I'm excited to share what I have in mind soon. Thanks for your continued support

I absolutely love the visual cues done in post. It feels like too many tutorial or guide videos reference something on screen without showing us anything, leaving us to guess which metal beam to jump on or which mountain on the minimap is right. 10/10 video, keep it up!

Oooooor just do every skip in the game (upload as you find, surely you won’t find every.), and test it yourself.
Joltz, because of you I've been doing more and more skips in BL3, usually the simpler stuff and the stuff that doesn't involve grenade jumping. But I want to thank you for sparking my love for doing skips because it has actually made the game more enjoyable for me. Also, I internally say, "The skip dude!" every time I do one.
I am really looking forward to this! Its expected that the channel performs a bit worse now because of lack of given content, but as soon as Wonderlands comes out the channel will grow a lot. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! It isn't only that. 90% of my videos are "funny moments and drops". CZcams shows that very few people are searching for that. I have an idea on how to fix that

Really enjoying the voice overs :) I can hear you over retrospective videos on items, builds, characters, community members, etc that impacted borderlands and its history. Like "The most elusive item in borderlands" (the sham) or "the shield that broke borderlands" (the bee) sorta titles with in depth explanations and stories. Thank you for your content

Loved the video Joltz! It's great to take a peek 'behind the curtain' when it comes to your Borderlands playthrough and see how you do "the skips dude!"
What I'd like to see is a video on generally speed-running the main story to unlock Mayhem mode. Things like what conversations you can skip by save quitting and such. Like, a top ten 'best ways to save time' on unlocking Mayhem mode from game start would be awesome.
Hey, this is pretty late so you probably won't see this, but just wanted to say that this video inspired me to try the carnivora invisible elevator during a playthrough just now, and while I didn't get it on the first try, it didn't take me more than 30 seconds to get the whole thing, even with the subpar FPS on my gaming laptop. Zane is a lot of fun to go fast with, and I might switch from the MANTIS to the clone to try some more warp type stuff out. Thanks for the info!
One thing worth mentioning about the Jakobs Estate lift skip is that there is a slightly slower, but at least in my opinion safer way to do it. When you jump down on the lower support beams, you can just wait for the lift to go past you, then mantle back on the upper railing and walk the rest of the way, so there's no need to jump over the void.

Now if only there were some skips that can get me to the like button first.

For the voracious canopy skip you can take a different path to get to the top of the ship and activate the save station that is right before GenIVIV.
Not the best with giving directions but,
after getting the the big white block thing walk down it, to the right there's kind of a hall between the room you get the mech suit and that room you fight the jabbers in.
Climb on the first big round thing with the red bits on it, then jump to the opposite wall.
Go left and jump to the beam then around the corner.
in front of you will be a floor and another massive white block(and 2 more right above you)
as soon as you are on the big white block mantle the beam to the right.
from there mantle the thing that is at the corner you just mantled up
and last jump on the 2 white blocks that are togeather and walk towards the door to get the save station on the other side of the wall.
and don't forget the admire the "Balex Safe Spot - DO NOT REMOVE" to the left

@@Joltzdude139 Ok, I trust your direction, I'm sure you've put a lot of thought into it. But I think that as far as saying "2021 has been the worst year for channel growth". That may have more to do with the community not being as excited about the franchise as it has been and a general series fatigue. It is also important to remember that these niche single series communities have a limit, you're already the most popular Borlands content creator, so I'm not exactly sure who else you could appeal to?

Gonna be honest when I first started playing 3 when I came out I was hyped about the story and especially when tannis revealed her powers but stopped playing because after the story I kept comparing it to 2, but after picking it back up last month I realized that even tho I spent thousands upon thousands of hours on 2, borderlands 3 comes super close to my enjoyment of it and it’s actually an upgrade in a lot of ways. I remember playing the Krieg dlc and loving every moment of it, I even lowered the mayhem level so I could look at the nomads and other classic bandits in the second act lmao

Im happy with what joltz does because i watched all his playthroughs when i was in a dark place it always came to cheer me up especally coming home after a long day and being able to have him make my day better

I really enjoyed this video. This is the type of content I’d like to see more of, videos dedicated to explaining different skips or gameplay quirks in the BL games, rather than random tidbits spread throughout numerous playthrough vids. I hope to see a video like this for BL1 :)
I've got two requests you may never see:
1) Leveling guides. There is content EVERYWHERE for what to do when you're max level with a bank full of meta legendaries and ready to destroy mayhem 10, but very little (and even less up to date!) for getting there from level 1.
2) Speedrun walk-throughs - what's the route, why, alternates when/if they fail, etc. I watched the 25% speed run you did of BL1to try to "human TAS" the run, and loved every second of it. More in-depth commentary please!

I really like having the bite sized content like this. I've learned a lot about how to play the game through watching your content, but having to search through playthroughs can sometimes be tiring and there's not much other content like this. Needles to say, I'm excited for more!
I like this idea of top 10 lists for future content. One idea I have that I think would be extremely useful is a top 10 skills that don't work as intended (or you can do something like artifacts or guns as well). Not sure if that's already an idea but hopefully it's something
You should do one of these about dialogue skips to help get through the story faster on subsequent play throughout. I know I’ve seen you do a few, but some people (myself included) don’t know when to trigger what dialogue to skip some of the longer bits.
Sweet skips. Been using the lift skip since I saw you do it (and many bl2 skips).

Zane can also skip a part of the mission Taking a Flight, after returning the biofuel, and before talking to Ellie, put the clone outside the door where Lilith is ambushed and run to talk to Ellie, when the door closes You switch places with the clone and skip the entire elevator part.

Man, that jump @3:52 is kicking my butt. I just attempted it through two sets of respawns and I couldn't get up onto that freaking roof! Figured out the pole mantle on my 2nd or 3rd try, but can't make the roof yet. . . ah, well. More practice tomorrow!
