The distant peal of thunder makes you glance up from your studies, only now realizing just how late it is. Majestic gray clouds roll in closer, carrying a rain squall along with them. You rise from your chair and pace through the study, kept warm by the gentle heat of the fireplace.
Your research has taken you so far already. Through book after book you’ve pursued the clues, and you feel as if you truly are on the verge of a great discovery. Rain pelts the ceiling above as you sink into your armchair and stare into the fireplace, relaxing and leaning back. Your cat notices, padding over the carpet and leaping into your lap. Together you listen to the storm, lost in thought.

I’ve been listening to this, while writing, for weeks and I just noticed the pillow and blankets in the bookcase. I’d certainly have moved the table and spread out in front of the fire right away to read or, more likely, fall asleep.
This type of ambience always makes me want to get cosy with a blanket and a book or a cup of a hot beverage or both. 😌

This is so beautiful. I just love the old-world feel in this room, with the cheery crackling fire and the thunderstorm raging outside, super-cosy. There's even a kitty cat, who has found the perfect spot !! This is an amazing atmosphere, and I love it !! Thank you so much.😊💗

Lots of these ambiance videos fall apart once you notice the rain image. Ginormous drops, etc. This one has the most realistic rain I've seen. The fire is great too. Flickering candles and a moving kitty would knock it out of the park lol

This sounds more like a squadron of bombers flying overhead than thunder. Thunder doesn't happen constantly. There are breaks in between. This is kinda overkill.
