- Opium is a record label and creative agency based in Atlanta, Georgia that Playboi Carti founded and curated in 2019. The label is distributed by Interscope Records and currently features the artists Playboi Carti, Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely and Homixide Gang. Opium has its own signature aesthetic, with its own style of trap music, dark fashion, and a mysterious ambience that leaves you wondering, like rarely posting on social media. The Opium label hasn’t been around for long, but has already become one of the most popular labels in the hip-hop and rap genre. If you listen to hip-hop and rap, you have most likely heard of Opium or an artist under it, but how far does your knowledge of Opium go? Does it lie just at the tip of the iceberg?
