It was only through Karl Richter, Janos Sebestyen and their performances on the Neupert harpsichords I could truly begin to appreciate Bach.
Only Herr Bach "COULD COMPOSE" such a Concerto, and only Herr Richter "COULD PERFORME" it like this!! This I call Baroque-Music DELUXE NON PLUS ULTRA..........Cheers
Bach stays Bach eternally! Without any comments! Close your eyes and just listen!! Dream away! And it's the right rhythm that everyone can follow! Thanks Karl 😊 With love from Holland 🇳🇱
Lovely...What more can I say? Other than magic...How fortunate we are today to listen to such magnificent music.....All your channels....Thank you youtube
Absolutely awesome, this is what excellence is like!
Absolutely regal.
YES it's 🎼JS BACH! 🎶🎶🎶🎶
Marvelous
Bach es el padre de la música, sus obras sublimes llegan al alma, mas el maestro Richter hacen el duo perfecto, saludos desde Chile, 🎼🎶❤
Wow How amazing it is !! My favorite is to be with 3 Harpsichords better than with 3 Pianos .
Yes, I like the sound of a harpsichord.
Only the lead harpichord could be replaced with piano
A bit slow and stately in the first movement but I think this interpretation works on its own terms. There's no one way of performing Bach - indeed of performing any of the great masterpieces.
Karl Richter es indiscutible el mejor que interpreta al gran Bach.
0:02 I. (Ohne Satzbezeichnung)
5:40 II. Alla Siciliana
9:57 III. Allegro
Brilliant play of a great composition. Part II is one of my favourite pieces and in in my (untrained) opinion perfect tempo. I have heard this performed by other famous artists but much too fast. I am always amazed that Bach has not indicated what speed this needs to be played at , . . .or did he. …?
He didnt
Thanks❤
I"m sure lots of commenters will praise the use of harpsichords, but my first exposure to this was an LP with Robert, Gaby and Jean Casadesus on pianos. I ran across it in my school's music library and loved it, even tho' I recognized some of the inexactness of its performance even when I was just a teenager. Still, the music blew me away, and it's remained my favorite, despite other recordings. I just think pianos have advantages over harpsichords, esp in complex polyphonic music. I can appreciate the harpsichords for their particular sound, but I prefer piano.
Y'ever think that maybe Bach was just sitting in his bathtub, writing this in his head and then got out and scribbled it down...?
Don't forget in that time there were no pianos like nowadays! So originally it is written for clavecimbel! Thanks Johann and Karl!! With love from Holland 🇳🇱
@@andredicke3866 Do you know the story of JS Bach visitinng his son CPE or Carl, I forget which, who was at the court of Friedrich the Great? Apparently that monarch had a whole room of new pianos. This story is attested it the book "Evening in the Palace of Reason." The king gave JSB a them to make a 3-part fugue on, improvised, which JSB did. Then the king demanded it in 6 parts and even JSB had to say, "Gimme coupla weeks." Within a few weeks, he produced "The Musical Offering."
