      They both look equally awesome indeed. The Greeks had 'brute-strength' mathematics, and refined engineering. The Muslims had 'brute-strength; engineering and refined mathematics.
      Until the-now civilization does what the Muslims did (to translate Greek and Roman treaties), we will continue to have math or engineering classes that don't honor the founders. Besides this, we will have mathematics-by-memory instead of understanding the physical dilemmas that make 'thing-be'things.
      In a physics classroom, you will have these discussion freely -- everywhere else...
      Example: f(x)^2 = g(x) + f(x)
