Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

I like the little detail of mike asking the guy if he’d had dinner. mike always looked after his men very well.
I love this scene because you see how professional Mike and his team are.
You see that Mike works with respect and is highly efficient when working with other.
You definitely understand why he can't stand working with Walt in Breaking Bad.
yes, the professionalism; like keeping meticulous records of their criminal conspiracy
@@user-cr3ti1vj6fwell, he does work with Germans…
Professional meaning working as a security consultant as a cover up for his criminal activities? Or a cleaner to hide evidence like Jane’s body?
@@doraemon61377They didn't hide Janes body just the drugs.
Walt was a professional, it was Jesse who kept causing problems.
Nice to see Gus still carry out Los Pollos Hermanos standards in his own home
I believe he has ocd but might be wrong
@@marioq467It kind of is, it's more trying to find situations he has control over as he's lost control over one
I believe it's because he sees the Salamancas as vermin and therefore cleaning his surroundings gives him comfort.
it wasn't even his home, it was the safe house with the couple
He absolutely has OCD this scene and the Lyle scrubbing the fryer scene proves it
I like these kinds of Gus scenes. They make the character more vulnerable and identifiable
Ah yes, nothing more identifiable than brushing a perfectly clean bathroom wall with a toothbrush in business attire.
@@petyahahaclearly the writers didnt know that better call saul fans have never seen a toothbrush
Full metal jacket n Forrest gump reference?
You cowards don't even own a chicken franchise
@@petyahaha I do not mean that. I mean Gus in that state of anxiety. Also other scenes like when Lalo confronts him, or when he is tasting wines.
Read the title as "Mike tries to resurrect Gus" and thought I'd missed an episode
They had to get that Red Woman from that pygmy thing in Westeros. Whatever happened there.
Its a perfectly understandable mistake. Mike is a handyman at so many things he might have tried his hand at dark magic.
I guess the thumbnail would mean Mike succeeded to resurrect Gus
@@tobiasrieper6640
I had a bananer in there!
Personally I think they jumped the shark when Mike traveled to Naz'Guroths 7th Relam of Death in order to obtain the Necronomicon. Just felt like they strayed a little far off the path especially with the whole "Price is paid with soul and blood" thing with the mage. Although I did enjoy the Gus "Earth Eater" Fring storyline. The lovecraftian horror was really brought to life by Esposito.
If it’s one thing Gus and Walter have in common is that they focus on unnecessary work when they’re feeling restless.
it's all about regaining control.
@@nathanpont3831 It's all about Gus trying to get someone to gorilla pound his gussy
Sounds like the ocd types 😆 “cleaning this wall , or cleaning my hands 10 times will definitely turn my chaotic life into a chill life”

like a good military NCO, looking out for you every way they can
Only lalo could cause this much fear and panic in Gus
Nah gus was way more fearful of walter white

nobody: "How is that baththub, Gus?"
Gus: "It is... acceptable"
OCD gay Chilean who's afraid of Lalo.
I'd agree to let Gus use my house as his cover and base of operations if he promised to clean as thoroughly as he does here and at Pollos
the fact that we could see gus brushed his bathub comically like this is a blessing
Look like he is loading some engine for kamikaze mission😂
It shows how his OCD impacts his work and mood
I like how Gus cleaning addiction/fetish indicates his military backround. When hes nervous he gets fully into "academy mode" where you had to make everything crispy clean or you get punished.
I thought he just had extreme OCD and whenever he was nervous just started cleaning.
What military background
@@dinomite6710 He was probably in the Chilean security forces during the Pinochet regime.
Not “addiction/fetish”- “Compulsion” is the term you are looking for.
@@DejaVuDream.0 not a native speaker, so im a little bit limited word wise. But thanks for the correction and for teachinc me a new word :)
It’s so surreal to see Gus actually get anxious and troubled.
Like he get possesed by another spirit.. This kind of dramatic restless action is not acceptable for pollos standard
Gus thinks when he works and Lalo thinks when he rests.

Why would you say something so controversial, yet so brave?
Bravo Vince!
Perfect Peter!
Imagine listing your home on Airbnb, only to find out that they not only cleaned up the entire space but also added built you a new basement.
Some people brush their teeth before bed, gus brushes his entire shower
I just noticed the shot at 1:07 looks sort of similar to Walter's house.
It does, indeed
Oh yeah, they were living together...
Love the way Gus isn't resting because he's so worried about Lalo. Perfecto, Peter!
He also seems to have an OCD. A very bad one

Are you "people" still making those jokes?
@@zekeiwa5837 why the quotations around people? Do you view that for a mere difference in our sense of humour we suddenly forfeit all equality and dignity in our humanity? Do you view the necessary qualifying factors for humanity as matching your ever-changing requirements for humour, something subjective and arbitrary?
@@anonymousshitposter1743 i refuse to believe this isn't a bunch of bot accounts or ai generated comments
difference in sense of humour is one thing, but literally repeating the same two jokes over and over and still finding it funny is just subhuman behaviour to me, so yes, i don't see you as more human than a script made for engagement purposes on social media
This scene goes a little deeper when you look back and remember that Don Eladio said he knew Gus had powerful connections in Chile. Who else cleans with toothbrushes to instill discipline? Military.
I truly think with both of their guards down in an actual enjoyable setting, they’d be able to have a pretty good time.
chills!
the affect of Lalo is so fricking good
Gus wasn't being perfectionist, the tub wasn't up to los pollos standard, so Mr fring was upgranding it standards.
Its called ocd.
Take sarcasam itsfree.
@@anveshnidumolu3679 so being ignorant is sarcasm now? Dont be daft. You were just wrong. It happens.
I love the implication of this episode. It explains how Mike saw Walter coming to kill Gus without them ever having to tell you out loud.
Whenever Gus gets worried, he looks for something to clean lol
The meticulousness of Gus' nature is his strength and his weakness.
His obsession over men's laps was his downfall. Wanting to groom Jesse over all Breaking Bad
His weakness was letting his guard down after getting revenge on Hector. He was soo caught up in the revenge even after he had won, that he was almost no different than Eladio in the end. Eladio's weakness was his desire for luxury things, and that ended up with the poisoned alcohol. Gus's weakness was no different really. He didn't have to see Hector that last time. He only came there to finish Hector, even though his revenge was complete and Hector was of no threat anymore, and he could have just left Hector to suffer instead of trying to finish him, or he could have sent someone else to do it, but he made it too personal and was blinded by it.
@@peoplez129 His weakness was trying to ride a guy
it was scenes like this that made walter's car bomb make more sense on why he didnt fall for it
After the way he treated Nacho and threatened his dad, watching Gus squirm in fear was my favorite part of Season 6.

Can only hope Layle was going to inspect the bathroom soon enough and deem it acceptable
Mike Ehrmantraut, master of the non-verbal grunt.
I can’t believe it’s been over a year since the finale.
I absolutely love the character of Gus. Mike is my #1 character of all the BB and BCS stories. I love Mike. My #2 is Gus. And this scene, to me, is a clear indication of Gus' mindset. Although he is REMARKABLE at what he does...he's a very sick man.
They should do a whole series of "behind the scenes" of Gus's empire.
So miss this show... BB and BCS were, I think, the BEST television, ever!
"You guys ate dinner?" Is he the bodyguard of a drug lord or a super fantastic supervisor at a Target? You really can't tell 😂
Small unit leadership , his behavior is that of a platoon sgt or company xo or first sgt checking in on the sentries in a forward observation post….. this scene also duplicates the routine of a police stakeout

What makes this a good scene is we get to see Gus, a man who’s almost never fazed, scared shitless. Lalo truly had him shaking in his boots.
Gus definitely has a OCD
Saw Walt coming a mile away 😂
Mike: "Do you brush your teeth with that toothbrush?"
Gus slowly turns and looks at Mike.
This is the moment Gus becomes a Latina Maid
Mike inspects the shower tiles. "Is this...acceptable to you?"
Mike inspects Gus bottom after a night out with some guy
Just as this scene came on, I got a notification of this vid
So cool how Mike is both an old man with bad knees who could still ‘beat you to until your legs don’t work’ if he had to.
When your legs don't work like they use to before.
The ex chef and his commitment to cleanliness.
I've never seen anybody wash their hands that fast. Though, still better than not washing their hands at all.
I miss this show
Humming the song "Happy Birthday" while Gus washes his hands shows that he did not do so for the appropriate amount of time. This is Gus' greatest failure across both series.
Mike really loves his guys
*This is how you know Gus has military experience because he was washing the bathroom with a toothbrush...*
Seems like Gus was sampling his own product
He wanted to sample Mike's poopoo platter
In the end it's Gus himself taking care of Lalo. Not Mike or anyone of his expert crew. The boss Gus deals with the issue, alone.
Yeah, I know
Wait a minute, why didn't Gus use the hand towel to the right of the mirror after washing his hands?
Didn't want to get it dirty
I wonder how much these security guys are getting paid for a job like this. Like 3k, 5k, 10k a month
I would think a lot more. Gus' operation brings in hundreds of millions a year in total, Mike makes millions over a little more than 4 years under Gus, and this is very risky work, Mike's top guys are probably on something like 300k a year or more (25k per month) and the footsoldiers maybe 150kish (12.5 per month).
Imagine getting high paid security job to protect one man from assasin attempt but getting fired for french fries problem😂
For such a clean freak Gus really doesnt wash his hands very thoroughly
He wants to wash his face with a man's butt
Gus should have looked for some _m o l d_
Gus performs labor himself and doesn’t have servants perform all his chores for him
I respect that and believe it’s a critical part of effective leadership
This is the moment Gus and Mike told their men they are dating.
Gus wanting to groom Jesse in all Breaking Bad makes sense now
He should have got Lyle to scrub his shower.
I misread the title as "Rescue" and now I am disappointed...
