    It's amazing how these two actors have had such a special bond ever since 2001: A Space Odyssey. Thank you both, Keir and Gary, for always being happy to share all your reflections of the film. Happy 50th (1968-2018)! 🌎🌌🖖🏻

    My mom saw 2001 when in came out in Cinerama...she said it was the most amazing experiences...you have take that in the context of what science fiction movies were before 2001...say Forbidden Planet was the benchmark before 2001...it's night and day. One the greatest movies ever made...still a head of its time...probably always will be.

      I too saw if first in Cinerama in London in 1968. It was the most fantastic thing I'd ever seen.

    Absolutely wonderful to see these two amazing guys together on the stage. Loved them both in "2001". And Gary Lockwood also did a great performance in the second Star Trek TOS pilot "where no man has gone before", playing Gary Mitchel. Together with "2001" the BEST Science Fiction of the 1960s.

      You are no doubt referring to a short-lived military drama that aired on NBC in the 60s and starred Gary as a USMC officer. The show was co-produced by Gene Roddenberry and MGM.

    Dullea is still looking good. Lockwood is still a live wire. They should both stop defending Kubrick since all they know is Kubrick on the one film, 2001. They don't know how he treated other actors in later movies.

    If only one could have make it mandatory, that you have to read to book before experiencing the movie. (Like I Did) Very few would have panned it.

      well one was killed by HAL the computer and the other died of old age and was reborn as a "Star Child" looking after planet earth....

    • @allenjones3130
      @allenjones3130 Před rokem +1

      The ones killed by Hal were Frank Poole and the three hibernating astronauts. It was Dave Bowman who traveled through the Star Gate, aged, died and was reborn as the Star Child.
