Recently BLS took out the option for booking pickup and drop off, but if you contact the BLS via phone number on the website, they'll share a link and setup the pickup for you. Thanks.

1) Are we only self-attesting the passport and address proof copy?
2) Do we need to self-attest all pages of the passport or just the front page photocopy?
Yes self attest it and I would recommend self attesting every page that has a stamp

I think sort registered address pe hi ho sakta hai but best to call bls and confirm, Khud aap bls centre pe jaa ke kar sakte ho the whole process but online ke liye u need pick and drop

Mine was blue but it was from Canada , so maybe that was why , I don’t think color should be a problem but best would be to call ircc and confirm

Hi it’s important that u hv someone staying at the address that u give fir PCC , so if no one stays at the passport address u can provide the address where they stay and proof of the address, it can be for your parents doesn’t hv to be yours, write a letter to consulate general explaining this

Hi bls keeps updating their rules and it varies from location to location, for my PCC it was not required to send the original passport however if they hv asked u to send the original passport i would recommend doing so

2. If my current address in India has changed from my passport address but it is few blocks away from previous address. Do I still need to write the address?
Yeah address it according to your jurisdiction, also call bls and confirm.
2. Yes I would recommend to do that , as the police will go the exact address and incase they are not able to verify they may fail the PCC so better not to take the risk
What if I work for a company but put my employment type as other? Is this a big issue ?
That can be an issue as ircc usually does verification checks

1) If i can directly go to the Purolator hub and drop off my documents as it is very close by to my place.
2) Will the contact centre provide the change of address letter format that I need to use if the address in the passport is different from my current one in India?
3) Regarding the amount, it shows as $35.70 here, whereas the amount mentioned by you in the video is $41 change. Will that vary as mine is the vancouver jurisdiction?

Hi yes u can go to purolator and drop off the documents, the contact centre can guide u on what all needs to be included on the letter , the amount may vary acc to jurisdiction and thus I would recommend to confirm the amount with them

No the police station u select is the one that will be doing the verification so a random may delay the process or they may not do it if it’s not in their jurisdiction, search on google as the closest police station to your address or ask family or friend to inquire in the local police station

Hey if there is no crazy lineup doing In person can fasten the process by a week , u can go for walkin to any centre

Do we really need this letter? What if we apply residency application with bls PCC reference, and later submit the original certificate once we get it.
U don’t need PCC for creating express entry application, however once u receive the ita and are submitting your application u do need PCC as per ircc, incase it’s taking time u can submit and request ircc for an extension but it’s not guaranteed that they will approve

I got the Police clearance certificate from India in February 2023, Came to Canada November 2023, Question is ..Now when I apply for Quebec selected skilled worker program, do I again have to get new Police Clearance Certificate or previous one will work? Hi just write the reason why the address is different, for eg - in my case my passport had the address of the city I was working in and my parents were living in a diff city , which I explained , so just explain what ever the reason is

Enter the address where u have family members who can complete the verification from local police station on your behalf, so the new address will be apt .attach a letter to consulate general of Toronto explaining this and also attach a copy of the drivers license or any other id proof which has the address

Hello can someone help me please. I am applying for Inland spousal sponsorship application in Canada. My wife is the Principal applicant. She is in Canada on a Visior visa and we have gotten married. She was originally supposed to go to UK on a work visa. She had gotten the PCC from India to go to UK, but she also got the Visitor Visa for Canada. Her PCC is addressed for UK. She hasn’t went back to India after receiving the PCC. Can I use the same PCC that was for UK for the Spousal Sponsorship application within Canada?

You don’t need to give us police certificates for any period of time before you were 18 years old or for time spent in Canada.
So according to me you would need police certificate from India if you were in India before 2018 and if you were in any other country for more than 6 months since 2013

I already have a PCC from my home country which was issued in April 2023 when I was back in India, It was done as I need for my student visa processing and written in PCC that its for education or research. Can I use that one for Immigration purpose?

They will receive the request on their portal , but they will reach out to you on your address but at times they are slow , so best is to tell your family members to go to the local station and let them know a police verification will be coming , once it’s done u can see it on the pass port gov india website, and bls will mail the letter to your address, unfortunately they don’t send email copies

also, there was an issue in finding pick up & drop off in the bls portal, it was separate for both when i applied, hence i did my pick up first & later for drop off , there seems to be no postal service showing currently in the portal respectively :(

Hey Sofia, Really helpful video. I had a question so in the PCC application do i need to enter my full name? My passport has my middle name but after i finished the application i realized i only added my first and last name.

I came as international student in Canada and never left Canada, now going through my PR process and they asked for medical and pcc. I do not have the copy of my old PCC. In that case do I need new one?
