@djfurio can you break down jeru the damja my mind spray next many people flip that bob James part of the track but seem like premo did it to make your neck snap
Great track. I can look into it
@@DJFurio thanks
So much work must have gone into this, thank you Furio.
Yeah it did take a fair amount of work but it’s a track I really like. Thanks for watching.
Premo tracks on your channel are solid gold entertainment.
My fav producer
This is one of my ATF Gang Starr tracks and I love how Premo tied it into I'm the Man which was his first foray into 3 different beat parts with Jeru, Lil Dap and of course Guru rhyming. Much appreciation to you for breaking it down like this. RIP Guru.
Glad you like the video. Thanks for watching.
My GOD!!! one of my favorite Preemo tracks.
The jeru part is crazy!!!!
Yeah it’s such a great track
Shoutout to Jeru The Damaja!
Raekwon-verbal intercourse classic purple tape track.
Yes yes yes! Great Gang Starr track, very original putting 3 different beats on one track. Percee P did a similar track, the message I think it was called.
Nice deconstruction Furio.
Yes it’s a great Gang Starr track. I like Percee P too
This is one of Gang Starr's best songs ! Congrats for your work !
It’s a great track. Glad you like the video.
Dj Furio. You are HIP HOP GOD WORK. Thank you.
Appreciate it. Thanks for watching.
That sample at 7:22 I recognise at Pickin Boogers by Biz Markie produced by Marley Marl
Great drums. Been used on some other big tracks too. 93 Til Infinity, Mind Playing Tricks On Me and Body Movin just to name a few.
salute to that breakdown
Appreciate it. Thanks.

WOW...just...WOW 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Glad you like it. Thanks
Good job, Furio!
Glad you like it. Thanks. Had to edit the scratches down though as it thought it was the original track and blocked the video.
You should have been a producer in the 90's, you could have made millions ;)
I wish. I was sampling in the 90’s on an Amiga computer. Pretty sure I’ve got some of my old beats still on cassette somewhere too.
One of my favorite tracks on this album.
Great track definitely
Can you do Strange Ways by Madvillain next? Or When I B On Tha Mic by Rakim?
Madvillain maybe. Probably won’t do another Preemo production again so soon. That Rakim attack is actually pretty straight forward to recreate though.
Pitch black it's all real would be nice👍🏻
Great track
ONLY great track on their album lol
Bought that album assuming allll would be hype like that
@@titanjake8640 I won’t lie it could be anyone rapping over it.only ever listening to the beat lol
I don’t think I’ve actually listened to the album. Just that 1 track.
@@DJFurio same lol👍🏻
Lil' Dap's verse is done on The Rill Thing's drums.
Alright
Take two and pass
Daily Operation
Please next
✌️❤️
Another great track
yo, furio. i just posted a video recreating eye know by de la soul step by step, inspired by you! great video as well bro
Just given it a check. Great job 👍 where are you from? Somewhere around Bristol I’m guessing from the accent?
@@DJFuriothank you bro !! i’m from sussex, but i’m puerto-rican / english which is where the accent comes from!
Ah ok
What is the ride Preemo uses in Pt. 2?
What are the ominous strings used in Pt. 3?
(Not finished yet 😏)
The main sample is from Quincy jones a lp from 1972 not weather report…
Have you listened to what I said in the video or watched it? Clearly I said there are 3 different parts to the track using 3 different samples that I’m going to demonstrate. The first part uses Weather Report. Quincy Jones is the 2nd Part of the track.
You accidentally put the Graham Central Station graphics over the Cesar Frazier portion.
Ah man. That’s annoying
@@DJFurio I hear you. It happens to me sometimes when I'm copying and pasting text boxes to save time. All good. 👍
