Sentencing Disney Villains For Their Crimes âïž (Maleficent, Capt Hook, Cruella de Vil + More)
The Disney silver age, made up of the many films the studio released from 1950 to 1967, is fondly remembered for many things. The animation, the influence taken from classic literature, and the pivotal role it played in saving the company are just some of the eraâs most notable elements. One that seems a tad overlooked, however, is the fact that this was really the era where the Disney villains came to prominence. From Maleficent to Cruella, from Captain Hook to Shere Khan, it was this point in time where the villains in the films started to become just as memorable as the heroes, if not moreso. But while we all love a good Disney villain, one question is burning on our lips: how well would these foes stack up against the court of law? Well, worry no more, because today, weâll step into the roles of judge, jury, and executioner, and decide the sentences for all your favorite silver age baddies!

Hi! I know itâs not really related to the video. Can you please do a video on Danganrompa squid games? I would really appreciate it. First two games only to make it easier.
Wickedbinge! Please talk about many times that Princess Belle had the little strand of hair that falls in the center of her forehead. I keep telling you I am lovestruck when it comes to Belle mostly when she is wearing her blue apron dress. đđđđ„°đđđđđâ€â€â€đ„°đđ. So please talk about Belle's attractiveness in all 3 animated Beauty And The Beast films. Also, the scene when Belle had her hair straight instead in a ponytail. You could include the live action Beauty And The Beast film starring Emma Watson if you want.
I remember how In one take on Cinderella, The Stepsisters get their eyes pecked out by Cinderella's Bird Friends . . . while nothing nearly as brutal happened to The Stepmother. So seeing Lady Tremaine get a bigger punishment than her daughters was satisfying.
Was that in Charles Perraultâs version? Since I know it was in The Brothers Grimm version but Perraultâs came first.
@@matityaloran9157 That was in "Into the Woods", a live action movie from 2014 that involved retellings of Cinderella, Jack and The Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel in the same universe with it mainly focusing on a nice baker couple getting ingredients from the title characters for an evil witch's potion so that they could have a baby.
@@matityaloran9157 Perrault's version ends with the Stepmother and sisters apologizing to Cinderella and her forgiving them.
@@MiraculousHolder365 there is also a musical (from a year I donât remember) of Into the Woods, and yes the stepsisters are blinded in this version as well. Just wanted to make sure you knew there was a musical as well, but you are right about that movie âșïž
@@Blokewood3 That was my impression so thank you
I love how your including Henchmen and Side Antagonists in these Trials, and not just the Main Villains.
Accountability and Responsibility go hand in hand.
Same here
Btw 100 likes for you â€ïž
12:54, Lady Tremaine also locks Cinderella in a Tower, lies to the Royal Authorities and destroys the glass slipper. Iâm not a lawyer but Iâm pretty sure all of those things would be crimes. Speaking of which, in your discussion of the Jungle Book, you left our King Louie who still has kidnapping as a crime to his name.
also the raven to Maleficent, could be argued that it is aiding her in some of her crimes. afther all it do scout for her her and is telling her where to find the girl.
i think that arthurs legal guardien could also have been on this list, atleast his family member/friend, emotional abuse (maybe) wreckless endangerment of a child for sending arthur into the forrest knowen to be filled with dangerous animals, and potentialy assult or threatening to assult someone.
@jf k True.
The whole locking Cinderella in a tower is false inprisonment, because all Cinderella wanted to do was try on the slipper. And lying to the royal officials could be seen as perjury. Even though she didnât lie in court, itâs the only thing I can find.
@@szweetsztuff Fair
@@szweetsztuff Well, that part where she lied to the Duke may not necessarily be considered perjury, because it's not really possible to consider lying to a royal official perjury and the closest crime in a case like that is false statement to a government official.
Let's not forget Lady Tremaine not only committed destruction of property (purposely tripping the person carrying the glass slipper, making it break against the ground), false imprisonment (locking Cinderella in her room) and slavery (making Cinderella a servant of the house without paying her anything).
Didnât she also lie to a government official?
@@markwilson4078 She did, so that's another felony lol
let's not forget the possibly multiple crimes she committed in the 3rd movie
@@ToppyDreemurr That too-
@@ToppyDreemurr I think thats a breach of the time continuum, though i could be wrong
You definitely need to do King Candy/Turbo from Wreck it Ralph, Treason, child endangerment, kidnapping, Attempted Murder of Ralph, and 2 cases of Mass Homicide should get him an interesting sentence. (The 2 cases of Mass Homicide I attribute to him getting his game and the other game he invaded getting shut down, I can't remember if they showed in a flashback anyone escaping those games before they shut down but considering that the only homeless characters were Qubert and friends who were taken in by Ralph I doubt they made it out and died when the games' plugs were pulled.)
I would love to see the Pinocchio Villains up for trail! Honest John & Gideon, Stromboli, and the Coachman!
(The Original Ones!)
They are in another video.
Iâd argue that Kaa and Shere Khan would get more lenient sentences since theyâre animals and as such in Kaaâs case heâs just trying to get food and as for Shere Khan, him attacking Baloo and Mowgli is standard animal behavior so yeah.
Yeah, but these are animals who are a lot more sentient and intelligent. They're probably not as limited by instinct as regular animals are.
Furthermore in Shere Khanâs case, Baloo is a sloth bear, and tigers in real life do eat sloth bears, so itâs not unreasonable for the tiger to use that defense to try and get a lighter sentence. Plus, the reason he hates man is because of the red flower (or fire) and so that makes him sacred of fire, so he could also use the defense that he was only trying to defend his natural habitat from fires.
Also, in Kaa's case, he didn't openly attack Mowgli; if you watch both scenes, Kaa just happened to spot the boy at a time when it was convenient for him. I'm also certain that Kaa wouldn't do anything if he didn't have an empty stomach beforehand.
@@sarahsims6164 exactly heâs literally just a predator trying to survive
@@ludexia5338 but theyâre still more instinctively driven than the characters from say Lion King.
You're probably handing Cruella a 101 year sentence because animal cruelty isn't her only crime. They should've also added "criminal conspiracy and reckless driving to the list" and that's because she was obviously connected to Jasper & Horace's crimes and the sentence is very high because Jasper and Horace's crimes were extremely serious and the fact that Jasper & Horace were working for her made her a conspiracy to their crimes!
She also tried to run an innocent truck driver off the road and smashed a telephone pole, which probably caused a power outage.
Cruella's plan to Kill dozens of puppies is definitely evil, but Animal Cruelty is Far from the only crime she committed.
I think it's like a Funny Joke
Maleficent even kidnaps Prince Phillip and holds him hostage too, and doesn't think of letting him go until he is old, she is a very dangerous individual, who knows what potential powers she could of unleashed on not just the whole kingdom but maybe even the Whole world if the good fairies hadn't stepped in to free Prince phillip
I tapped with so much strenght on the notif that now my finger hurts
You are lastly lucky to point out that she was not only leading witchcraft, she also placed a curse on her & as soon as Aurora would touch it, she would not only be guilty of Aurora's attempted murder, she'd also be guilty of kidnapping but you've only mentioned 1 count when there shall be 2 counts. Not just the one where she holds Aurora hostage in her castle but where she also kidnaps Prince Phillip and falsely imprisons him in the Forbidden Mountain.
Is no one going to talk about how Maleficent and The Enchantress (Shovel Knight) are basically the same?
Can you do Sentencing Disney Villains of the Golden age, Dark age, Post Renaissance, and Revival Eras for their Crimes?
Hi! I know itâs not really related to the video. Can you please do a video on Danganrompa squid games? I would really appreciate it. First two games only to make it easier.
Yeeeeesssss
Great job, âThe Jungle Bookâ is finally getting some representation!
That's also a very safe sentence to hand down to Anastasia and Drizella. Because even though they were a conspiracy to their mother abusing their step-sister, she also abused them too, we can't forget. Let's just be glad that they ain't anything like Jasper and Horace or Hook and Smee, just to shut y'all up!
I kind of thought that Smee should get community service. Also, pretty much all pirates got the death penalty back then when captured so I was kind of thinking that that is maybe what Hook would get. Also, I kind of thought that Peter Pan (for taking and endangering kids, concerning what he did with Wendy and her siblings) would be here. However, he did return them soon after (the Lost Boys don't count for his "kidnapping" since all of them had been abandoned by their parents) and he dedicated his life to protecting Neverland (Hook wanted to plunder it of it's resources, so Peter cut off his hand in an attempt to make Hook his target) so I think he should get some community service if we're not going to let him off (maybe working with kids, under supervision).
I agree with Peter's punishment.
Sentencing Pixar villans for their crimes part 2
Hi! I know itâs not really related to the video. Can you please do a video on Danganrompa squid games? I would really appreciate it. First two games only to make it easier.
Villains like
1. Syndrome ( The Incredables 1)
2. Charles Muntz ( UP)
3. AUTO (Walle)
etc
@@cameronspeed6358 AUTO probably doesnât count since itâs a robot
@@emoji3266 I think they might still try AUTO regardless since it still played as the villain. Besides, if they can charge Woody and Sebastian in a Villains video, then AUTO is definitely not out of bounds.
I think you should take a look at Fluteless's videos that detail each and every crime that the Disney villains get up to. Hook in particular has multiple counts of attempted murder, one actual murder, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and piracy. All tallied up, Hook would receive the death penalty for sure.
Anastasia tremaine later redeemed herself in the 3rd movie by defying her mother and helping Cinderella stop her. She was officially pardoned by the king and Cinderella allowed her to live with her. She didnât care about power and money. She wanted someone who truly loved her. She only went with her motherâs plan because of the manipulation and her treatment growing up.
One possible goof is piracy was also considered a capital offense so captain hook and mr smee would also be facing the death penalty.
Honestly, I think Peter, the lost boys and the Native Americans should get charges as well. They make it clear that they are constantly fighting, and the natives kidnap, and it seems Peter does the same. The chief says âsometimes you win, sometimes we win.â
Peter Pan should deserve the death penalty
Peter Pan cuts Hook's hand and fed it to a crocodile, kills kids if they grow up, commits fraud and kidnapping, torment Hook even though he is already had enough with it, abuses kids and even steals Hook's ship. Peter Pan is no different from Captain Hook
Thereâs a play on Disney Cruise Line where Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizzella are forced to be servants to their wicked Stepfather after failing to uphold a deal they made with him.
Watching Cinderella has helped me to fully realize how blessed I am to have such a wonderful relationship with my own stepmom, to the point that she's been more than just my stepmom. She is, and will always be my 2nd mom to me.
Cruellaâs sentence is funny, Madam Mim is actually kinda cute. I feel kinda bad for Mr. Smee, he is much nicer in Jake and the Neverland Pirates. I never knew Shere Khan bit Baloo on the bottom. In the live action films, King Louie became a villain, and didnât Melleficent turn over a new leaf?
In her own live action movie, yes.
Peter Pan: Phew looks like I am safe from that
Louie: Me too
I'm pretty sure, Lady Tremaine would also lose custody of her children.
Does seems fair enough along with her sentence to prison for a long time.
She should
I love this video
3:29 Technically a life sentence since Cruella will die of old age before she can be released from 101 years of prison! LOL đ
Yeah!
I'm surprised Peter Pan himself wasn't on here. He did cut off Hook's hand and threw it to the crocodile. Also, I am pretty sure the Indians would have been charged with assault and kidnapping when they attacked the boys, even though they aren't villains and were just looking for the chief's daughter, who was kidnapped by Hook. The mermaids should also be charged with assault and attempted murder, but again, they weren't villains. When it comes to Peter Pan, almost everyone is guilty of at least one crime.
True. If we remember why Sebastian got included a few videos ago, then I think the reason they didnât include him is because Peter Pan was not an antagonist at any point in the movie and more just childish. Even Woody who was the hero was the antagonist to Buzz Lightyear for a good portion of Toy Story.
Awesome đ
Why am I trying to imagine legitimate animated court cases for each of them.
Very good video. I thought Peter Pan was gonna get a light sentence since Woody got a pardon in the last video. Silly me đ
In defence of Jasper and Horrace, in the end credits of the 101 Dalmatians sequel, they have shown not to be locked up and have opened a flower shop. From what I looked up, the Dearly's have forgiven the Badduns of their crimes and apparantly they turned a new leaf
Wait. King Louie doesn't get trialed? He had the monkeys kidnap Mowgli, and wouldn't let him go when the boy told him he doesn't know how to make fire. Why wasn't he on trial?
Yeah, I was expecting him to get hit with a trial also. That wouldnât have gotten him off too easy.
What if Disney Golden age villains were charged for their crimes
What about Peter Pan kidnapping children and cutting the hand of captain hook and feeding it to a crocodile
You guys forgot about the other two villains of the Disney Renaissance which are the poachers Percival McLeach from The Rescuers Down Under and Clayton from Tarzan!
Neither of those villains were in the Silver Age, so they didnât get covered.
For Precival McLeach - Poaching, animal cruelty, kidnapping and attempted murder, I'm not sure how the laws in Australia work but he'd likely be given either a prison sentence or the death penalty.
Clayton - Poaching, animal cruelty, attempted murder, murder, imprisonment.
@@markwilson4078 But they were in the Disney Renaissance era and need to be covered in a future videoâŠ

In all fairness with Madam Mim, Merlin ALSO uses magic, if he get to do it, I think she should get a pass for that
If she were charged in her movie, I imagine the use of magic itself would be a non-factor, but her other crimes would stand. She would definitely be hit with multiple counts of attempted murder at the bare minimum.
@@markwilson4078 It was a duel that both parties consented to, and I'm pretty sure you couldn't be charged for murder in a duel.
Considering Kaaâs crimes, I feel like he should also get a few brainwashing or coercion charges as well, since he technically uses a form of hypnosis several times throughout the film. Such a charge also leads into his two attempted murders as well, since the technique is used before both attempts to eat Mowgli.
But Kaa is an animal that kills for survival. He also didn't brainwash Mowgli, he hypnotized him to sleep so he could eat him.

Say what you will about the sequels from Disney Toon, but I appreciate how they included proper defeats for villains such as Cruella, Shere Khan, and Lady Tremaine, something that can't be said for the original films.
Shere Khan was properly defeated in the original. Mowgli burned his hide and sent him panicking away, thus making him a laughing stock of the jungle.
To elaborate more, as a little kid, I never felt like Shere Khan was gone for good. His defeat felt merely temporary to me, and I imagined that he would eventually be back. Therefore, his return and desire for revenge in The Jungle Book 2 makes perfect sense, and his defeat in that movie felt totally permanent, which I really appreciated as a kid. Though I can see why others wouldn't feel the same way about it.

Captain Hook would probably not face imprisonment in the mines. The story of Peter Pan is set sometime prior to 1902 but certainly after 1885. The law regarding piracy that governed England (where Captain Hook would be tried most likely) was the Piracy Act 1837 which contained the stipulation of the Death Penalty for offenders and even today is a life imprisonment sentence. Even if the acts of Piracy take place off screen, the fact that they refer to themselves as pirates on a pirate ship would indicate admitting to committing the act of piracy. Now due to the fact that Captain Hook is described as being "Blackbeard's (c. 1680 - 1718) boatswain", if Captain Hook were to be tried back then with Blackbeard, both would be tried under the Piracy Act 1717, which was actually harsher towards pirates and even sentenced pirates to death even if they had no intent to kill, something the 1837 Act forbade. Blackbeard never stood trial however.
I thought pirates were hanged in the pirate days!
