Looks way more efficient than the grapple.

Thanks. It was a fun project. The hydraulic components added up fast and It came in a little higher than I hoped but still about half as much as a new foreign built unit. I already have a grapple and stump bucket but this fills in the gap. I mostly wanted something remove the smaller trees and I think this hit the spot.

I build all my own attachments. I have a single lid add a grapple I built over a year ago. And I recently completed a double lid log grapple. I’m currently building a combo tree puller/shear. My tractor doesn’t lift enough for one of those big ole stump buckets but I made a stump stinger that has worked out pretty well….

@@bigsway4414 Do you have video? I'd like so see what you've made.
The combo idea is a good one, the puller takes a lot of tractor too. One improvement I could see is to have the jaws be able to rotate.
      What is a stump stinger?

I have some pictures and videos but I don’t think I have a way to get them to you. The stump stinger is a barbed 16 inch long pointed piece of metal that I stab into the roots on smaller stumps. It really needs to be longer but I lose a lot of leverage with my Tractor the longer I go….

@@bigsway4414 Bummer. I saw a video of something like that, seemed to work well. The biggest challenge for me is seeing what I'm doing out front but practice does help.
Hey keep up the good work and thanks for watching. Bryan
