Do these specific pairs come with a grey cleaning cloth unlike the usual beige ones? And also do they use screws to assemble these ?

Question about the Cat 2 to Cat 3 lenses:
If I drive behind a windshield with UV filter, even under full sun light conditions the lens will stay cat 2 until I get out of the vehicle/behind the UV filtered windscreen? Can’t see any benefit of this… why would I want to drive with Cat 2 lenses and only having cat 3 once I’m not in the vehicle anymore?

Their Cat 2 is basically a normal tint for most sunglasses and only increases about 10% in direct UV light. Your windshield provides some protection and the Serengeti lenses adjust as needed. It also makes it easier to look inside the car/dashboard and is great for evening and morning drives. That's why they are so popular with drivers.

Thanks for your response, I spend 10+ hours hours behind the wheel as a professional driver, couldn’t drive with less than cat 3. I need an all year round glasses, I guess I’ll just stick to my Maui Jim’s.

@@attilab.2818can’t go wrong with Maui Jim, fantastic sunglasses. But, just in case, Serengeti also have a lens Cat 3 to 3, yes 3 to 3 which still has a tiny bit of photochromatic effect when in full light outside vehicle, just less of a difference. They explain it on their website.
