Found out the channel recently and gold it became
I also got my first internship through a classmate. Easiest way to get one lol as the job wasn't advertised. Your documentation as awesome!
Thank you for this! This is so relevant. Just subscribed

Yeo thanks for the video! What year in college did you start applying for these internships ?
My second year of engineering, earlier is always better.
I'm an incoming Civil Engineering student and i plan to get an internship after my first year. Do you think I can get one even though theres a pandemic?
Definitely! And since it seems like you'll be waiting a year, hopefully things will be better by then.
Are you still active on here? I start tomorrow and I’m like way too scared 😭
You got got this dude! Good luck on your first day! It’s perfectly normal to be nervous 👍
I've been feeling that civil engineering is an old department with almost no room for innovation and improvement. I feel missing out after majoring in this field. Please tell me that I am wrong :(
I’d like to say that you’re wrong, but I can see where you’re coming from. I’d say to find a work environment that is more in line with who you are as a person. Not all firms/businesses run the same. Good luck @LanCa
@@dmontenegro thanks man. There is going to be a career fair in a few days hopefully I'll get something out of it.
How did the interview go?
For my third one it went smoothly, he liked my work experience and we got along really well. The pandemic didn't allow me to start until 2 months later.
Are you went to internship for your every semester?
The first 2 internships were summer only, my 3rd one was for most of the year.
@@dmontenegro when did you get your first internship and what did you put on your resumé? i have no work experience and am just a freshman in cc.
edit:
basically, what do i need to do to make my application stand out? i understand that my application would be very unappealing, so any advice on what to do for the meantime so that my resumé can be spiced up would be appreciated.
thanks for reading this if you do!
How many years did you worked as an intern?
I’d say I interned at three place over a span of 3+ years, I only ever interned for a couple of months in between college semesters. So I wouldn’t necessarily say 3 full years. Thanks for asking!
How was the pay?
They pay varied from disciple to disciple, I would have to say my most profitable internship was field inspecting BUT it was not what I wanted to do. So ask yourself if getting paid more is a higher priority than the experience. I personally think it's worth it, to getting paid less if it means you can get your foot in the door for your "dream job".
Your any social handle brother??
Sure thing man, my ig is Dmonte_95
