I really love how Mario Kart 8 Deluxe revamps some of the classic Wii courses and makes them more modern.
Every time I see a MK8DX video from Troy I know I'm going to be validated in my hatred for online multiplayer.

can you play Mario Kart Wii Galaxy? It'll get custom music and an auto updater later. I think it is (one of) the best ct distribution in Mario Kart Wii

It’s sort of the same as ctgp, like another custon track distribution but with way more features. If you don’t play Mario Kart Wii you’d probably not understand. It just makes Mario Kart Wii way more fun and challenging
For the next KO tournament I would love to see the finale have a format where you have to use the karts/bikes you won your points with in the prelims. If you place in one of the last positions you can’t use that vehicle anymore, once you run out of available vehicles to choose from, you’re out. Gives an incentive to go for points early on and can potentially add more variety to the finale besides Flame Runner/Mach Bike. Having that format with different characters would be cool to see as well!
God that Madrid race was so frustrating. The amount of times you got hit in that race is exactly what frustrates me about this game when I play lol

I can see the hate for water park. The loopty loop is cool, but you can't really see out when you're on it which is kind of what would make it really cool, so it's not that cool.

Hey, Troy! Love to see you playing MK8DX.
In one of your streams, I made a suggestion that you said was a great idea-which was doing a "thoughts on MK8 years later" video. The game has evolved quite a bit since the Wii U release along with your feelings on the game over the years (which you've said). It'd just be interesting to hear your thoughts on this game before Nintendo, presumably, releases their new console and a new Mario Kart to go with it.
Also, another thing, will you be making a MK8DX track ranking sometime soon? I know you said you wanted to wait to do it until Wave 6 of the BCP had been out for a bit. I know your MKWii ranking was intentionally breezy, but I think me and many others wouldn't mind if the video was longer to hear more of your thoughts on the tracks. (Plus, you'd probably get more views and CZcams would likely recommended it to a lot of people. Long-form Nintendo vids tend to do well!)

My worst tracks in the game are Mount Wario, Big Blue and DK Jungle. I hate them since they appear way too often in worldwide and are simply boring as hell.
Another one of my favorite CZcamsrs has “never lost Big Blue” lol.

@@amari648 Toad Circuit, Mario Circuit 3 and Donut Plains 3 are also drab at times but they aren't the absolute worst since they're quick and easy. Ironically Tokyo Blur is one of my favorites for being fun and simple
@@LiamDeege For me, Big Blue used to be a fun track in the Wii U days but now it appears too frequently worldwide that it's barely much of a challenge. It's moments where there's a track like Wii Rainbow Road or GCN DK Mountain that appear as one of the tracks that can appear but if they show up with Big Blue, that just gives it the same degree of disdain like with Mount Wario and DK Jungle. It's the tracks mostly picked online that can get really drab and not even fun playing, especially if you have a lobby of 12 DKJ's

You should play regionals as warm up they tend to be easier and you gain VR!

Why do people keep thinking there HAS to be a new Mario Kart this year when we literally got 48 new tracks over the last two years? It makes no sense for Nintendo to make a brand new game from the ground up after putting so much work into revitalising MK8DX.
They were essentially ports of mobile game retro tracks..
The game is 10 years old already and yeah, barely new tracks, just ported over from Tour...with the next console there will finally be a new Mario Kart and it can't happen soon enough.

The circuit tracks are fine, they're supposed to be simple racing tracks. Tokyo Blur is definitely the worst city track though, yeah. Excitebike is just so boring. Dolphin Shouls is annoying and the Water Park boring too.
@@Ray_2112 I like the other circuit tracks except for Toad’s Circuit because when you have all these other AMAZING 3ds track that could have been brought back like Shy Guy Bazarr, Wuhu Loop and Wario Shipyard, it makes me dislike this circuit specifically because of that and they somehow made it look worse than it did on 3ds. At least with the other circuit tracks they added new gimmicks like the Wiggler in Mario Circuit or the beautiful visuals and music in Daisy Circuit. And yeah, I’m mad Delfino Square and toad’s factory didn’t make it in because of these two tracks specifically but at least they are still fun to race on unlike toad circuit.
Not really… my least favorite tracks the ones that are over picked like BC3, Wii Rainbow Road, Yoshi’s island, or even DK mountain. They are wonderful tracks but when you have to play them over and over again because people are picking them so much I kind of sucks the fun out of the game when they’re 96 tracks and I’m only 15% of it.
