i remember back in august my boyfriend invited me to his church for youth weekend 09 and we spent friday and Saturday night in the church it was a lock in. come sunday morning we had service and it started at a around 11 am. we had a praise break around 11:45. I started shouting and i remember my friend Justice tried to hold me down on the pew. and when i finally broke free from her i got to do my praise dance. She got mad cuz she said i knocked her down. well she sholdnt have held me down.
We as African Americans can sometimes be so... The dance is simply a display of THANKS unto God for what he's done or a weapon to confuse the enemy. There isn't a 'SPIRIT' that hits you that makes you dance. It's simply an EMOTION. People know exactly what they're doing when they praise the Lord in a dance. If they don't, IT IS A SPIRIT! In that case, use discernment and cast it out! We only do what we've been taught to do, not knowing that it's of non-effect. Keep praising him!
@Anna Marie if you know so much about the bible, girl don't you know that David danced? It's apart of praise. You may say I look like an idiot but I say I'm giving God all honor & praise.

my number one peeve in church is when ur in the spirit and they holding on to you leave me be..i dont understand why they taking their glasses off and their not in the spirit yet..god is good any how
@minister181 i agree with you the holyspirit wont allow a person to get themselves hurt..not bashing any of the ushers but sometimes they really need to let them go n let god take full control!
