Badass. I had a chance to hold it and the sheath is really nice as well.

Little advice I learned through a failed blade and an inspection by a more skilled bladesmith (shattered when I used to reenact) round out the shoulders especially if it's going to be used for chopping. Something about the sharp shoulder creates an area prone to snapping.

Are you talking about the spine? I'm not sure what youre referring to by shoulders

@@prairiemountainmanadventur7424 the end of the blade ahead of the tang, in the case of your knife it is only on the rear of the cutting edge, rounding that out slightly with a grinder reduces the risk of it cracking during hardening and in the long term of it snapping from use.

@@prairiemountainmanadventur7424 it's not a guaranteed break but if it does it will likely be at that point, otherwise really nice knife. And to be fair the one I broke was used for fighting and broke blocking a blow and had been used to hack at shields and armor so quite a lot of stress.

@@RedRiverWilds thanks for the tips. I've made about a 10 or so knives none broken yet. I'm sure it will happen one day especially when i start forging. Thanks for watching

@@prairiemountainmanadventur7424 no doubt one will break even the best made knife can, but on the up side once you start forging you can rework the metal and alter pieces as you need.
