The Tower Of Babel Began The Great Divorce From God For The Nations

  • We had a fall in Genesis 3. We had a second rebellion in Genesis 6, that was so bad, that permeated humanity so deeply that God sends a flood. After the flood, Noah and his sons emerge from the ark and God repeats the original Edenic mandate; spread out, populate and spread my goodness. So what do they do? They congregate at Babel. And at this point, God has had enough. He divorces humanity. And allot them other members of his council, but they also rebel. God comes to Abraham because he still wants to restore the nations. Babel and the call of Abraham set the stage for the rest of the Old Testament, this is why it's Israel against the nations, and it's Yahweh against the gods. Check it out!

      The LORD your God who goes before you will himself fight for you, just as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes,
      31 and in the wilderness, where you have seen how the LORD your God c a r r i e d you, as a man carries his son, all the way that you went until you came to this place.' [Deu 1:29-31 ESV]

      Heiser was the last big step the Holy Spirit lead me to after rebuilding my faith from the ground up. With Heiser's guided insight the puzzle pieces started falling into place. The big picture, the complete story, backstories, previous "meaningless" passages or details suddenly have significance that "plain reading" of the Bible just doesn't reveal, especially the KJV.

Once I read & re-read the book of Dueteronomy and listened to Dr. Heiser explained, and then I understood. GOD chose them as his own people, he blessed them, he gave them everything, they repeatedly turned away from him. They betrayed him finally by crucified him on the cross ✝️ 😢😭😭😭. In Revelation 13 we have the second beast/false prophet who comes imitating the signs of Elijah to do 3 important things the rabbis expect Elijah to do:
      1) Renew the Sinai covenant marriage which in the Torah came with sealing the congregation with the mark of the Name of God in the forehead and hand in dedication of thoughts and works through the Aaronic Benediction as symbolized by the tefillin (Mark of the beast);
      2) restore the sacrifices which only those in the covenant could participate in with the money-changers and merchants Yeshua threw out (buying and selling);
      3) regather and number the tribes in a census as in the books of Numbers and Ezra by heads of family names (number of names/number of men).
      These are expected by the rabbis for Elijah to perform before the arrival of their (false) messiah who will enforce the Sinai covenant marriage in defiance of the new covenant marriage announced by Jeremiah who said it would not be like the one at Sinai (Jeremiah 31). Hence, the law is for the lawless (1Tim 1.9) and we know the false messiah is also called the lawless one (2Thes 2.8). My latest vid on the AC kingdom has deeper info.

      _The word “sign” in the above verse is translated “mark” in its second occurrence in the Bible and it refers to the “mark” given to Cain (Genesis 4:15). _And their dead bodies will lie on the street of _*_THE GREAT CITY_*_ which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified._ (Rev 11.8).
      _The woman [Babylon per 17.5] whom you saw is _*_THE GREAT CITY_*_ which reigns over the kings of the earth._ (Rev 17.18)
      _”And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth/land.”_ (Rev 18.24)
      _”Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her!”_ (Mat 23.37)
      _for your [Babylon’s] merchants were the great men of the earth, for all the nations were deceived by your “PHARMAKEIA”_ (Rev 18.23)
      Christ warned people to flee at the end of the age who lived where? NYC? Rome? No, "JUDEA," when they see the abomination/idol of desolation set up in the holy place/temple (Matthew 24:14-15) which hasn't happened yet. He also warned those about fleeing in winter or on the SABBATH (Mat 24.20) which shows it will be strictly enforced under the reign of the false messiah.
      _"Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues."_ (Rev 18:4)
      Is it a coincidence in Revelation the harlot comes riding on a red beast in the wilderness (the Temple Institute in Jerusalem is preparing a red heifer sacrifice to bring back the temple ministry which in the Torah is prescribed to be sacrificed in the wilderness) and dressed in the colors and jewels describing the high priestly garment from Exodus 28.4-11?
      A Jerusalem Post 2017 article lets the cat out of the bag revealing that Israel will be the capital of the nwo, titled “Israel and the unexpected new world order”
      And Revelation doesn't say Babylon (Jerusalem) is a port city, that's a red herring suddenly being spread widely in an online campaign. It just says the smoke of it can be seen from the sea and that it has merchants ships -- which is just like in the time of Solomon (king of Jerusalem) who ruled over a trade bloc in the region and had fleets of merchant ships and was at one point even earning 666 talents of gold. The Jerusalem Post article from 2017 (see above) talks about a plan to do this again and even cites the kingdom of Solomon in comparison.
      All nations (‘waters’ are nations/peoples as explained in Rev 17.15) will gather to where she sits in false worship as they did at the tower of Babel, but first a traumatic global crisis must be engineered to ‘bring the world together.’ My vid on the AC kingdom goes deeper.
      Beware Babylon’s armies of false teachers, trolls and bots flooding the web with misdirections and diversions to NYC, Rome, Edom, etc, (or the old fave: attack the messenger with accusations of anti-Shem/Shemites) none of which are where our Lord was crucified or where the prophets were slain.
      More info from my notes:
      _"And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all those who were BUYING AND SELLING in the temple"_ (Mat 21.12)
      In Revelation 13 we have the second beast/false prophet who comes imitating the signs of Elijah to do 3 important things the rabbis expect Elijah to do:
      1) Renew the Sinai covenant marriage which in the Torah came with sealing the congregation with the mark of the Name of God in the forehead and hand in dedication of thoughts and works through the Aaronic Benediction as symbolized by the tefillin (Mark of the beast);
      2) restore the sacrifices which only those in the covenant could participate in with the money-changers and merchants Yeshua threw out (buying and selling);

      _In the Bible the only usage of the phrases “in the hand” and “in the foreheads” are all in the Law of Moses and refer to keeping the commandments, statutes, judgments and holy seasons or days given to Israelites in the time of Moses. The first reference is Exodus 13:9 where it states the Days of Unleavened Bread associated with the Passover were given “for a sign unto you upon your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes [in the forehead].”_
      _The word “sign” in the above verse is translated “mark” in its second occurrence in the Bible and it refers to the “mark” given to Cain (Genesis 4:15). The biblical definition of the “mark” (or “sign”) in the hand and forehead is associated with holy days on the Mosaic calendar. The next usage refers to the commandments, statutes and judgments that the Israelites were to perform when they entered the land of Canaan._
      _“You shall bind them for a sign [or mark] upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes [in the forehead].” Deuteronomy 6:8_
      _The third reference is similar to this and is given in Deuteronomy 11:18. The weekly Sabbath is described as such a “sign” (or MARK) in Exodus 31:12-17._
      _If we let the Bible interpret the Bible then the MARK (or sign) in the hand and in the forehead of Revelation 13:16-17 refers to the keeping of the Mosaic legislation - its holy day system and regulations for the people of Israel in the land of Canaan. And this is what the Antichrist will subject the world to when he commences his reign in Jerusalem just before the true Second Advent. He will display to the world his supposed divinity, the world will accept it, he will sit himself with great ceremony in the temple at Jerusalem, and then proclaim himself the true divinity come from heaven to reside among men (2 Thessalonians 2:4)._

    very similar to the phallic-shaped obelisks
    that we see in St. Peter's Square

    Said another way...

The same thing about the sun, the moon and the stars that are like symbols for other gods. And the reason why God is to worshipped alone is because the Israelites were not to worship anything or anyone created by God except him as the only all-powerful Creator.

They actually fashioned the golden calf as a physical representation of Yahweh. They took the calf and called it Yahweh. I think that, among other things, it was another attempt at manipulating God like Babel, IMHO.

    Hi Michael,
    I really enjoy both your short videos and podcasts.
    As regards Ps. 82:6,7 I wondered, whether the Bible gives a hint to heavenly beings being judged to death and I found the following interesting verses and connections:
    Rom 10:7 “or ‘Who will descend into the ABYSS?’” (that is to bring Christ up from the dead).
    Revelation 20:3 and threw him into the PIT, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.
    The Greek word for "abyss" in Romans 10:7 is the same as for "pit" in Revelation 20:3.
    So I wondered whether the 1000 year imprisonment could be a time of death for Satan and his angels?
    If that was true, then maybe their ouster from heaven as described in Revelation 12 could just mean their losing their spiritual bodies, becoming men in order to die as men. But this idea is rather speculative. I know the Revelation 12 passage is commonly interpreted differently.
    Best regards,
    Thomas

      I've truly felt for a good 3-4 years that Peterson is searching and longing for spiritual answers, spiritual explanations. He would benefit so much if he had Heiser guiding him through the Bible. Peterson seems to be trying his best make sense of the big picture of God and the Bible, but he struggles. Because of that he makes a lot of biblical errors and needs help. Intellectually and spiritually he would be a great student of Heiser and become even more effective in fighting back against the dark forces threatening him and our whole society.

    Much appreciation to Dr Heiser for his work. On this particular issue I believe the perspective has been tainted by Penal Substitutionary Atonement? God does not do abandonment or divorce. The Father did not turn his back on Jesus while Jesus was on the Cross - Psalms 22. God did not abandon Israel or mankind. God does allow us to abandon God. There is nowhere we can run to escape God/Love.
    Your reading is the human perspective being cast onto God and showing up in Scripture as such, not God's perspective. Similar result in the OT as the depiction of Jesus on the Cross. God does not do separation.

      It's a bit of a long bow to draw to say that an obscure reference in psalms means that God definitely did not forsake Jesus in the moment of His retribution for all sin upon the person of Christ.
      You do not understand the holiness of God or the filthiness of sin if you would deny that. It's also fairly obvious that Jesus felt himself to be abandoned; I don't think he was exaggerating when he said "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?"
      Scripture points heavily in the direction of Jesus most certainly suffering utter rejection by his Father. It is what we will suffer if we reject the blood and body of Jesus Christ as payment for our sin.
      Psalm 22:24 is referring to the idea that God has cared for the afflicted in Israel because he is a faithful God.

      Retribution is not of God(F,S,S). Retribution is pagan. Genesis 4:15 - Lamech's retribution of 70x7 was turned on it's head by Jesus' response to Peter (Matthew 18:21-22) of 70 x 7 forgiveness. Why didn't Jesus quote the law of eye for an eye? Because eye for an eye is also retribution, just not as bad. That's not who God(F,S,S) is as revealed in Jesus. That's not who God created us to be.
      Obscure? This non-obscure message is throughout Scripture. It is repeated throughout the book of Psalms. The book of Psalms is not obscure.

    I often wonder about the inherent anthropomorphism of the narrative synopsis as expressed here. Gd is exasperated and 'fed up' as though He is truly surprised by our poor behavior when He cannot possibly be caught by surprise and hence overcome with disappointment. These human approximations of Gds motivations perhaps offer more heat (of anger) than light..

    • @kymdickman8910
      @kymdickman8910 Před 3 lety +1

      I know that the most common Hebrew expression that means ‘to show anger’ is literally ‘to get a hot nose’. So, when the Hebrew writers express God’s anger using those terms, they are deliberately using anthropomorphism.

      Yes, pathetic fallacy.... but still, since the expression is presided over by the Holy Spirit Himself, it does give us some understanding of our Creator and Sustainer’s emotions.
