Hi. my name is Charles. I went to Bradley with your parents. One of our classmates told me about your channel. Im actually on the way to Cambodia to teach. Really proud of you but would exoect nothing less from Greg and Toni's daughter. Good luck!!!
Fumf oliver Hi Oliver! Thank you so much for watching. Best wishes to you in Cambodia. I’ll visit there one day!
Awesome! I teach English in Taiwan at Buxiban and you make it all look so effortless. You're a great teacher. You can see it on your students' faces.
Wow, thank you so much! Some days can get stressful l but I love my students🥰
Loved this video nene!! Loved seeing aunty Tonie as well! I’m so proud of you!
OMG that intro!!! 😩😂love the courtyard. This is also so cool to see! Love seeing what it's like teaching internationally :)
The Chronicles of Teacher Tay 😂😂 they are so funny. Thank you sooo much for tuning in!!
the struggle of deciding whether to go to Korea, Japan, or Taiwan 😪
@@NneniaYasmeen i wanna try Taiwan so i can live with my boyfriend.is it cheap to live there ?
You know what? I really love your videos. I hope to watch your daily life and the lovely faces your students have for a log time : ) 💜
Wow! 😍 I love this! Thank you for sharing. I'll be going to Taiwan this year and work as a teacher too.
This is inspiring. ❤️
I appreciate this video as a black person, a person who wants to experience life living abroad, and a teacher. I truly admire your courage!
0:16 That's an outstanding window!
2:09 Looks like a great place to do some stretching and meditation.
Thank you for educating young generation of Taiwan. They will love you and remember you for the rest of their lives. It is good to be a teacher there than America where teachers are respected there.
I love it. ❤
Nnenia : thank you for sharing this lovely experience. I can see you are a very good teacher and students likes you !! Look at their smiles :-)
PS I am a Taiwanese - I wish when I am learning English at school, we had a native and talented teacher like you. But at that time, we started learning English only from the junior high school and no foreigners would be hired for teaching in the public education system... This kids are really lucky :-)
Thank you so much! I'm glad the opportunities for us to come and teach here have expanded over the years.
Where did you take a nap? Haha♡
Also thankyou for the video- I will be teaching in Taiwan shortly and couldn't be more excited !
I just lay my head down at my desk. Lol & that's great! Congratulations 🙂
This makes me so anxious..
I really liked this video! I taught in Korea and China, and I've been considering teaching in Taiwan. Now that I have my substitute teaching license, I just might take the plunge. I have a couple of questions, if you have the time. Did you make those PPTs, or does the school supply them? I prefer schools that have premade lessons. I'd hate to have to make a curriculum from scratch. Thanks!
Thank you! My co teachers make the syllabus & I will create lesson plans/ PPTs that include the material following it.
Reminds me of my time working in Taiwan's public schools. I prefer working there. Wish I could land a job there again. Nice video!
Can you do a video about the pros and cons of teaching in Taiwan? :)
thank you for sharing this video!! gave me a glimpse of how teaching would be, i did have a question, if i wanted to teach English but am a native speaker but do my degree in Asia, would that be a problem?
If you're a native speak with a bachelors you should be fine! I don't it has to be from a university in the states. Thank you for watching.
Can you do a video on the program your with and the salary Taiwan offers? I enjoyed this video the kids are very cute.
Yes I have a video coming soon with more details about job opportunities here! Thanks for watching 🙂
😍😍😍😍
Girl, you had me at lunch and then nap time. Let me book my flight to move abroad to Taiwan NOW
@Nnenia Yasmeen did you create your own powerpoint lessons on the computer or where those done for you? What agency did you go through? Nice videos by the way.
Thank you! I went through a recruiting agency called Teach Taiwan and made all lesson plans myself.
Hey...do you teach in a public school? I just got offered a job with the public school system in Taiwan. I am very excited!
Hi where did you apply? Or which company can you apply to teach in Taiwan? Any tips please thank you.
I love this!! Just curious if you speak Taiwanese?
Thank you! I picked up a few words and phrases but no where near fluent unfortunately.
Hi teacher, can i study in taiwan at age of 17? And is wifi in taiwan expensive?
Hi, wifi is not expensive. Most public places already have wifi too! I'm not sure about the age for studying in Taiwan. I'm sorry about that.
First off I'd like to say it is nice to find content specifically on Teaching English in Taiwan because honestly that seems a little difficult to find; recent and as a black person no less! Second, and this is probably unorthodox but, I'm quite curious as to how you were able to amass that spice cabinet you had in the cut of your video?
Korea, Thailand, Taiwan are countries I've been looking into a lot personally and I only know of Big-C in Thailand and the general 7/11 in the rest. Do they have stereotypical "American" spices there? Can you amazon them? Is DHL the go to for getting those or do you just ask folks back home (wherever that is) to ship them to you?
I've discovered in my travels I can't live without decent Mexican food somewhere and I'm decent enough at home and I wanna make sure I got my spices on deck!
Thank you for watching! Taiwan has a nice assortment of seasonings in their grocery stores but they taste different to me. I like to buy mine from Costco here. Amazon delivers here but I’ve never ordered spices from there. You can also have spices shipped from home but I’m not sure if/how that’s been affected since the pandemic.
Mexican food is one of my favorites and I don’t know of any authentic restaurants here. Unfortunately I don’t cook it at home but I’d def recommend bringing the required spices you need for dishes like that!
@@NneniaYasmeen had NO idea they had a Costco there dawg what 🤣🤣. Bet say less appreciate ya!
Thank you, do you happen to know any black male CZcamsrs teaching there?
Very good environment❤️❤️
Is this junior high school? How complex is teaching English at junior high and what do you usually teach them🙈
Hi! I taught in the public elementary school grades 2-6. The curriculum was very beginner/ conversational English.
I love kids but teaching is so much work. Im considering moving there with my daughter
You can do it! There are some long days but I think it's manageable for the most part.
What a great video. Do you have to mark their work? What is your salary (roughly)? Do the parents want teachers to teach outside of school hours or does the school offer extra English lessons after school so that you can earn more money? What is Tiawan like?
I’d also like to know as someone currently working on their TEFL certification to teach in Taiwan!
Thank you. Yes, if I assign the work then I mark it. My salary is around 65NTD a month. No, there are no extra lessons after school. Parents can hire you as a private tutor but that'd be between you and them not the school.
Woah! Your students are too many for me. How do u handle your class that huge? I was just expecting 10 students in a classroom
10 students in a public school classroom is not a thing here! Lol cram schools/ buxiban will have the smaller groups. There's classroom management techniques I learned and picked up on from other teachers though and decided what worked for me.
I teach EFL elementary school kids and I make sure never to teach them "i'm fine" because everybody says "i'm good" nowadays. Can i ask you why you dont teach them i'm good instead ?
This is a phrase they were taught and knew before I became their teacher. They also know to say "I'm happy, sad, tired" etc. I myself would personally say I'm fine over I'm good.
I would say “I am good “ when "I've had enough":
Q - "Would you like some more tea", A - "No thanks, I'm good"
I didn’t know nowadays that phrase is taking over “I am fine”
What program did u go thru?
@@NneniaYasmeen Hi, I'm so happy I came across your channel. I'm interested in teaching in Taiwan(public school). Could you kindly share which agency you used. TIA
@@TumiRams Hi, for public schools I went through an agency called Teach Taiwan. Send me an email and I can get you in touch with them nneniayasmeen@gmail.com!
@@NneniaYasmeen I am currently a student in Taiwan and I will graduate in May. I watched one of your previous videos about your teaching experience and I checked out teachtaiwan. They say that we need a teacher’s certificate or sub teaching license, I don’t recall you saying you have either; did you have either?
OMG...I remembered those hard-@ss chairs!😬
This is so awesome! You have to collab with Bad Friends! Their videos hella are similar to Vitaly mixed with Faze Clan! Theyre the most turnt group on CZcams and they basically do pranks on each other in every vid.
You should totally check their page out and give the vloggers a subscribe! 👉 #BadFriendsTruth
