@@coletumey8077 agreed - @Kevin Todd please release this newer version - i get that you have an original cover (~6 years ago), but you you clearly worked hard on this one ... seems silly not to share.
P.S. 5:48 - surprised you liked Home Free's cover, as they kinda fail your tip 4 imo. They're too 'perfect' (likely thanks in part to an over-abundance of auto-tune), and it sounds kinda alien because of it. Is that why you didn't share this 2nd cover?

You are correct in saying five different singers would usually produce a more exciting sound, but I have to say in this case if you had done all the voices on the record, it would still have been a hit! You did an amazing job on these harmonies!!! Thanks for sharing your talent. Glenn's singing voice is the best in the Eagles. Just my opinion, but it's a good one. ☺ Don sang lead on 40 songs, and Glenn sang 27... except for Hotel California, Glenn sang many of their best songs.

Hey Kevin - Loved the video. Both your version of the song and the lesson. Just watched Girl Named Tom sing this with Kinsey Rose on the Voice and your version is one of the better covers and lessons on CZcams. Hope you get some well deserved traffic
ps. what software do you use for the video and audio? I'm looking into buying a DAW to make similar videos for family.

Thank you so much for those kind words; that really means a lot to me! 😃 for the audio, I use Pro-Tools, and for the video editing I use both Windows Movie Maker and Filmora X. However, I’m looking to get a more advanced editing software; specifically for the reason that there would be more online tutorials for the more “industry standard” products. That’s what I found with Pro-Tools, and it’s what I’m hoping to get with the video editing software 😊

Great vid Kevin. Question about the Home Free version. Is it 4 singers doing the verses? Best I can tell, one of the members is doing the vocal/percussion thing. Keep up the great work. Thanks!

This is the most useful video ever. Using this to teach my band the different harmony parts. I've never actually heard Don Felder's low part in any recording of this song, ever. The lowest I've ever heard is Joe's part. You sure this is an actual part?

Great job on all the 5 part harmonies . Wish I could have helped you a little on the bass . Maybe sometime you can do my favorite " New Kid in Town " . Saw them in Orlando at the Rock Super Bowl in 1978 . Better than the studio song's.
