@@sunshineskystar That's because OG Penni WAS meant to be a big reference to classic mecha anime series (Hell, you can see Simon, Shinji, Asuka, and Rei as her classmates in one panel), only with a more 'serious' twist. For the movie they changed her to be just a big goofy parody of everything anime, and while she wasn't exactly bad I prefer OG Peni a lot more myself.

Funny thing, he actually did appear in the Spider-Verse comic storyline. Hell, in its sequel, Spider-Geddon, when the Superior Spider-Man goes to recruit him, he’s in the middle of a giant monster fight, and Otto pretty much tells him to go for the killing blow first and save time.

sorry if this is long but that's a misconception in the west, mecha anime and tokusatsu monsters and heroes existed before that and were meant as true superhero tales, moral messages and fantastical themes among topics many would like to pretend didn't exist, small or big, Most of Ishinomori's works exist or are implied to exist within the same continuity such as the skull man being a big leader of black ghost from cyborg 009, kamen rider being an urban myth of a superhero of man vs society tale and being mistaken as the skull man, and in J.A.Q.K and Super Sentai Kamen Rider, Kikaider, and even other men outside of ishinomori's own works being mentioned to be fighting in different parts of the world for true love and peace.
Spiderman was the first mecha live action show, in manga the first mecha came from Tetsujin 28-GO and even that was inspired by another manga from 1956.
Super Sentai is not a spinoff of Kamen Rider, but both had the same creator (Ishinomori-sama). Super Sentai only started using Mechas after the third installment of the franchise (Battle Fever J (Funnily enough, Battle Fever J is cannon at the Marvel comics)), in the first two installments of Super Sentai they used aircrafts instead.

Thats somewhat true but Super Sentai existed before Supaidaman, 2 shows called Gorenger and JAKQ, the only difference is that they didnt have giant mecha.

Actually, Supaidaman wasn't the first live action mecha show. As such shows like Giant Robo, Red Baron and Daitetsujin 17 existed prior to it.
I won't deny it tho that it could have inspired the entire mech concept that Sentai started using, as stated before, with Battle Fever.
I’d like to think that knowing the amount of gadgets the Japanese Spider-Man has. He would become the mentor with the penny.

I'm okay with him getting english dubbing, just as long as the voice acting is completely out of sync with the lip movements.

This was actually a legit important character in the spider verse comic
Emissary from hell literally inspired Super Sentai which in turn inspired Power Rangers.
Sentai already exist before hand but with no "Super". Toei Spider-man introduced Mech to Sentai formula, but yeah you're about 80% right.
Apparently he's among the strongest versions of Spider-Man so I'd watch my mouth if I were them.

It’s also the first and last time (as far as I know) that the production team allowed the mech suit to get stolen.

While we don't know HOW prestigious a school it is, it seems to be about the same level as the comics...before the universe changed and now I have no idea what school Miles attends, and last I saw he was in some kind of SHIELD school like facility.
