For my 60th birthday, I bought myself the wooden case. I love using Inktense on unbleached cotton - the effect is quite unique. Lovely project that really highlights the diversity of Inktense. Thank you for sharing.
Such a great idea. Thinking I could make a few and gift them to our local library, they have a help yourself to a free bookmark area. I love quick little projects like these, thank you for a wonderful tutorial.
These turned out great! My Inktense need some love. My favorite part?…the straw for creating grass!
Oh, Lindsay...
Due to my illness, I can`t do bigger projects anymore. That`s why I like cardmaking.
The smaller the artwork, the better for me. Miniatures are the best :)))
This video gave me new inspiration. I love the stamps you added in the end.
You are such a treasure in my life and I wish I could give you many more than just one LIKE per video.
I often go back and watch your older projects again and again, and they always inspire me. 😍THANK YOU!
I love this video ...the bookmarks and the style!
Really pretty bookmarks!
I've been taking a long break for health reasons. I've missed you! It's so inspiring to see you again. Watching you has been like visiting an old friend.
I hope you are feeling better:)
Beautiful job Lindsay , hope you’re now enjoying your N.Y. Trip!
So pretty Lindsay. TFS
Love them! I'm enjoying your tutorials where you use Derwent products very much. There aren't many out there and it's great to see how to use them in different ways.
Beautiful bookmarks! I have a set of 72 Inktense pencils that I really never took the time to learn how to use them properly. This video lesson is well explained and easy to follow, so I will be practicing while watching this video lesson again. Thanks for posting a great video lesson for us.
Thanks!
Thank Lindsay! Jammed packed with fun and beauty!!!
This is such a fun video! I really like the small format of the bookmarks. The masking really gives such nice edges. The salt, straw and plastic wrap techniques look great! And, Inktense! Thank you!
Your channel becomes more and more important to me every day. You have so much to teach, and it just brightens my mood. I hope you encounter people and things that bring you happiness Lindsay... You are truly loved and admired. Love Marcia in Modesto
I have missed you drawing and painting :) This is gorgeous.
Hullo Lindsay! You can create the most amazing artwork and videos for easy fun to do projects that everyone can enjoy! Thank you for sharing, once again you continue to show us that you are deserving of your title The Frugal Crafter! Please have a lovely day!
LOVE, LOVE LOVE these! Another winner tutorial Lindsay!!!!
I love the salt technique and the blowing with a straw! Turned out great. I adore my inktense pencils. But I do find that if I use too much it rubs off! I've started using less of the intense, let it dry, then do another layer. As many layers as needed. If you use a softish brush and have good paper, it can take the layers. The best part is, the layering allows you to create a lot of depth.
Thank you for this one! I will give them a try. I have to stop admiring my Inktense pencils and use them. The techniques seem very doable Xx
That is an award winning tutorial by you🏆🏆thanks for sharing your ideas and artwork.
I was gifted the set of 36 for my birthday and am slowly growing what I do with them and will try something like this at the week-end .
I know you can use them on fabric to so going to try out on a cotton tote bag I have.
Thanks for the inspiration as you always inspire xx
I have these but haven’t used for ages! Forgot how fun they are to use! Am totally inspired to get them back out. TY!
What a great lesson with so many “doable“ tips crammed into a short demo! Thanks!
A lovely demonstration that quickly shows the potential of Inktense pencils while creating a beautiful piece of art. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills with us!
Love this. I rarely use my Inktense pencils, but having watched this I will be getting them out for sure. Tfs!
Try them on fabric too!

I can always count on you Lindsay to help me understand a new medium. I was gifted some inktense pencils and needed a place to start with them. Thank you so much for this tutorial and for all you do! Blessings to you!
You are so welcome!
What a great demonstration of technique! I love these bookmarks!
What a fun project. Love my Inktens pencils, they are awesome. I like how your creative brain works. So much new ideas pop up in mine. Thank you for this wonderful tutorial.
Really cute. I have the 12 set that I have never used. Perfect project to get started. Had fun watching as always.

I love the stamping at the end, it just finishes them off nicely. 😊
This is a wonderful tutorial Lindsay. Thank you. These would be lovely cards. You could put a note on the back or just slip it into a greeting card. Live it.
They came out so pretty 🤗💕
Beautiful! And what fun techniques! The kosher salt technique always reminds me of being a kid. I have strong memories of doing that in one of my art classes when I was young. I am definitely going to give some of these techniques a try! I love how the straw technique turned out!
I recently purchased a set of inktense pencils so this is a very Timely video to show me some tips and tricks of how to use them. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art.

Wonderful video. I am definitely going to try the techniques you talked about.
These would make nice mini slim line card fronts! Nice!
Great idea! I can share the template when I get back from the NAEA show in New York! This is the project i am doing for the make n take and we had rhem all pre printed to save time so i have a patten already made!

You could make these and then do the abandon ART at the school or library :)
I've had those Derwent pencils for years - I followed your video and good three beautiful (not as beautiful as yours) bookmarks. Thanks for posting. Going to get that outliner pencil today.

Sensacional. Muito obrigada pelo teu Espetáculo de Arte.
I’d love to see a small project soon with the neocolor IIs
I used them on last Sunday's video
@@thefrugalcrafter but just for sketching
I can't draw worth a hoot lol, BUT! I have some beautiful flower stamps that I will be using to try this technique! Thanks!
Beautiful
I love these Lindsay! I have watercolor pencils, will those work? I’d love to make some of these to mail out in happy mail. I will be adding the inktense to my wish list for sure! Thanks for always sharing your artist’s insights as you teach us not only the how-tos, but the whys also. Love all of the different techniques to try also. Sending you some sunshine and warmth from southern Nevada.
Sure
Fantastic!!!
Many thanks!
👌👌👍👍superb
Wow! Totally LOVE this project. Could I use regular watercolor pencils and seal the bookmark to keep it from bleeding onto a book page? Thank you Lindsay.
Sure
Lindsay! This is the most unique introduction to the inktense pencils I’ve seen so far and I’ve seen quite a few at this point!
MASKING TAPE AS A PALETTE 👏 GENIUS! FRUGAL! EXACTLY what I needed to hear (and successfully test myself on washi tape) !! Thank you!! ❤
Thank you so much! I'd think washi would be too smooth. Glad it worked!
These are lovely, Lindsay. I haven’t used my Inktense pencils in a while so it’s time to break them out. I love their vibrant colours which work so well for florals. Thanks for the project idea! I did notice you had perfect sharp points on your, pencils. What sharpener did you use?
Jarlink, it is just big enough for them with an adjustable 6-8mm hole
I have a set and I wonder how you use the outliner?
They’ve expanded the range to 100 colors! Please consider reviewing them as soon as possible for us. I need to know if I have to splurge the crazy euro to USD + shipping for these new 28 colors. Will they release the new colors separately, in a tin? I’m assuming no…ugh…
Will do!
I’ve just found your channel and I love your tutorials with inktense pencils! Did I understand that you can erase the pencil lines?
Regular pencil lines, yes.
Beautiful and enjoyed all the tips. What sharpener do you use to get the pencils so sharp?
Jarlink, it takes 6-8mm pencils
Thank you very much.
You are welcome!
I've used inktense for years. Definitely one of my favorites. I've never put a protective sealant on them. Have you ever? What have you used? I've been searching you tube videos, but haven't seen anything. I'm on limited time to search for the answer. Knew I could reach out.
Dorlands wax will work if you feel you need something.
