Great way to add volume. In Mass apon final inspection we must set shower valves at 112 degrees. I have started using those mixing valves. There are brands of heaters that have them installed but are very costly. Less money if you buy the mixing valve and add it.
I wasn’t aware of a thing called a tank booster, cool device. And righteous anger is needed sometimes . I know it’s a motivator for me. LOL All the best!
Another great install boss, I've installed a few of the Cash-Acme mixing valves and they do work well. Your explanation of how the valve works was perfect.✌️
Just one note on installing an expansion tank on a water heater or boiler. Expansion tank should always be installed hanging down. also on the water heaters, they should be mounted with a tank bracket. When those tanks fill with water it could potentially loosen the fitting.
Not necessarily, you need to read manufacturer instructions. They can be mounted upside down, sideways and up depending on the manufacturer. I install them the way I do so water doesn't get stuck inside it and drains out. The brass nipple will support it fine even if it's full of water.

Alls well that ends well dude.
didn't know nothing about this solution, thxs for sharing...having the HWT operate @ a higher temp will decrease it's longevity
Good job dude
Thanks for sharing
The mixing valve is like a very tiny hwt on top of the bigger tank, cold water into the valve and hot water up to the shower.
