Congrats for for being honest about Robin’s energy challenges in this kind of team set-up, compared to RM being plug & play and having nothing but synergy with dot teams. I’ve seen so much hype recently, with people pretending she is even better than RM for Kafka teams. For people who are really into dot, just wait for RM’s rerun. Shouldn’t be too long now.
I wouldn’t say for those who are really into DoT to wait for Ruan Mei, rather I’d say for the average player who wants to use an accessible top line DoT comp, wait for Ruan Mei.
Robin has been shown in many practical show cases to be pretty much on par at the top level when using her as the solo support versus Ruan Mei, it’s just that she’s much harder to use in comparison.
That being said, I’m waiting for the actual DoT Harmony support to drop so DoT teams can really pop off.
There's also a lot of instances where the 100% advance saved 1 cycle compared to RM. So it really is just a matter of comfort.

More like you are sacrificing ruans meis kit for another harmony kit. Break effect and stalling on ruan mej is already the ultimate synergy for dot teams

Asking respectfully-- On the 0-cycle DoT comp, does having 180 spd vs 134/120 spd have a difference here? both spd break point can act once on the 2nd wave so i don't really get it? thanks.
It’s just so concerto can trigger super early and Kafka goes twice being buffed
Kinda off topic, but I use Robin with Tingyun and give her an attack rope lol
100% ult uptime, plus way higher damage, and with a team shielder (I use Gepard because the other blonde guy refused to show up), March suddenly becomes the best dps in the game, 3 extra nukes per turn at E4
Imo Robin's strength isn't buffing strong units, Sparkle is way better at that. But Robin makes all units that can attack multiple times per turn op no matter how low their damage normally is
Just a little note, huohuo isn't balanced. 7:51 you didn't need to skill there. Huohuo cleanses a freeze when an ally takes their turn BEFORE they take their turn so the freeze won't actually cancel kafkas turn if you didnt use a skill point, feel free to test it! Aside from that love the video as always. I gotta say though I dislike how robin feels with DoT but it's great to have an RM alternative

Why do you dislike her wi dot I'm curious? As a robin enjoyer she's made me soo excited in using new characters an teams I wasn gonna speak into before dot being 1 of them
@@Yumiaia-26 she just feels very bad to use and doesn’t generate very many skill points which stops me from doing the things that I wanna do. My Kafka and swan are also mega invested so buffing their damage is generally better than adding your own. Another important thing is that they’re speed tuned to Ruan and giving them ten more spd each will suck. My Kafka has atk boots and 140 spd to reach 160 but getting to 150 is too tough and wastes too many stats. She also doesn’t buff as much in aoe. And probably most importantly I don’t think she feels very good to play. But she’s not bad with dot at all if you want to go for it she won’t be too far behind Ruan these are just the personal reasons that make me dislike her among other good reasons that make her not work as well with dot
@@eren_2290 I get you don like her bu idk how you got these misconceptions....1 most of why she's so strong is not her personal damage in ult fo ult thas ruan Mei imo since her rebloom doesn normally do anything to increase your damage to be atleast normal damage, an robin is good cause her many many many buffs in her kit, 2 robin isn tha hard to use naturally fo sp jus use her an then play 1 of a few ways, an 3 wym wi the speed tuning? Ima hab to look again bu I'm pretty sure robin has some form of tha too an eben if not you can definitely build fo it altho I get you might not wanna hab to, an 4 wym she doesn buff aoe she does buff aoe all she doesn do is add her small personal damage on every target in aoe bu it isn tha major at all it's literally jus a teeny tiny bonus an 5 I get again you might not like her...bu she's actually better than ruan Mei if built right TwT I get it if you don wanna use her fo dot cause tha tho.... Bu since she's better fo dot (an technically fo any team besides break) she definitely will be useful especially if you can't use ruan Mei on dot cause of her being on break

Everything except for crit buffs dot. So robin being massive attack buffer with a lot of dmg bonus is amazing for dot, ruan Mei is the same but with res pen instead of attack and easier to play

I'm thinking to put my Robin on Prisoner's. Yes, losing either 12% ATK or the Spd, but I feel like the DEF ignore is too good to pass up.
And even if I move her onto a non-DoT team, it's really not that big a loss assuming I hit my wanted speed

12% atk is much better than 6% def ignore no?

I really like Robin and just started playing again recently and so Robin was a good pickup as i have 0 5 star harmony units and beta testing really showed her off as outperforming ruan mei (with speed tuning) and lets be honest imo Robins character design, personslity, and gameplay is wayyyy better than Ruan meis booty animations. I must say im a bit disappointed that she has energy issues. I feel like Ruan mei was given so much in her kit whereas robin couldve been given more. At least if they buffed how much energy she got from skills and ally attacks etc or maybe made her gain energy/spd with the more atk she has. Her technique shouldve been like tingyuns or at least given her more energy per wave or a free skill like Ruan mei. Im hoping perhaps future relic sets will make her shine so that shes more universal and doesnt have to be hyper invested in or have a team built around her energy.
She definitely has struggles but with speed optimizations she’s crazy good and I like how you get rewarded for playing correctly with her
@@wyattskyy that's how I felt. I was likes she's a character where if you grind a bit she is insane. So it's almost more fun and exciting to put the work in to make her better.
Yea I think there point was to absolutely crutch her on 2 big requirements so tha she would be comparable to ruan Mei so people feel she's not so important, I hope they do buff her directly or indirectly tho cause altho she's li best universal an best fua she's so crutched it equals out bu makes her harder to the point it 1 makes her sometimes look weaker, an 2 makes her alo less easy to play making people write her off as being worse an while idk if she'll eba get a amazing synergy wi a team where it's soo broken she has powercreep resistance eben more on tha team, I do know regardless she's li a emanator of harmony habn unique interactions wi every team tha makes her super strong universally an makes her be able to easily help any support too, an its really nice regardless i would like some type of buff in the future too

I'm probably skipping but you could argue robin could replace RM for the DoT team and RM could be moved over to firefly team once she drops. More options aren't a bad thing and it depends on your account
This isn't her optimal team so obviously she isn't doing much here, raw attack is good but the Crit stats and follow up damage boost is not being utilized

Robin is way more goated than Ruan Mei idc what anyone says, more attacks = more damage the buffs literally have to be 200 percent more for Ruan Mei to be better, they r great teammates tho

You’re obviously suffering from a big case of ‘new character more shiny better OP’ syndrome. RM offers so much and truly works for every team archetype. Robin is great, but I dare to say for many accounts RM is the better and more comfortable choice.
