Very helpful. I usually rename data operations like this "Compose - Name" this helps me identify the type of action used in the future. Especially when more than one data operations are used.

The only thing that confused me a bit in your 2nd last example is the mechanism used by the 'apply to each' to filter the SharePoint list. Does it pull the whole list and then filter somehow in the select action (which means I misunderstood the select action) or is the 'get list' action implicitly filtering the list from each status. If the latter how does it know which data field to filter in the SharePoint list? i.e. When you say query you mean filter query in the advanced option? Not so obvious if so because it is not expanded in your video like other parts... Loved the video, especially the use cases with diverse examples focusing on the data operation theme. Thank you.

I am able to query the data however having issues with combining Parse JSON and Filter function since the column in our data set has user (which has name, email, dept, etc.) instead of just their email. Thoughts on how to address this scenario?

Thank you for this video and all the wonderful work you do. I am looking for a way to update my approvers list based on the response data from a wait for an approval action. The select data operation has all the users, their email id, and approval status. How can I update the approvers SharePoint list. Please note that the flow is configured into a different list.
For grouping, is there a way to further filter the get items based on another column? I have a list of tasks, with column of assigned to and another column (multi person) for backups. I want to send email to each user showing past due tasks, with one table where they are assigned (have this working) and another table of items they are backup for that are past due. Is there a way to do that without a second get items action? Thanks!

I'm trying to run a script and create separate documents based on selected rows in an excel table. When I only select 1 or 2 rows at a time it works consistently, but if when doing larger groups (4+) it seems to skip running the script for some files. it creates the file from the template, but then doesn't populate it. However, its inconsistent - skipping row 2 sometimes and row 4 others. Any ideas?

@@galdancio Its just sample data I prepared. I build 10-20 flows a week and keep reusing. May not even have this anymore and would need to search. You can pause and see the data and try and replicate 2 or 3 items of the array.

Hi Reza, I had a question please.. I have an email that contains a table. The email will be triggered based on date and OData filters set in Get Items linked to a sharepoint list.. I am using HTML to generate a table that will go into the table which has some information for each record that meets the filter.. the list has a person field though which is multi select.. So when I initiate a variable to pull the display names from that field, all names pulled are listed for each record.. Do you know how I can get only the relevant fields for each record please? Ive been struggling to find a solution that would allow me to get the items from 2 different SPO lists and add them to a CSV/HTML table in a single row. One list has a single row of data the other has multiple rows "linked" to the other table via ID. When i use the select + Union operation it adds multiple rows to the final result. the join operation seems to give a single row but its a string. Have you come across this type of issue before?

Hi ,great work . I have 2 questions 1. How to handle race conditions in power automate? Ex : a flow,say like running after a button click in Power app . Two users click button at exact same time , flow getting data from sharepoint list at exact same time .. how to handle this ? 2. How to stop power apps user from directly editing data from datasource like SharePoint list . If they have access they directly go to sharepoint site at modify the list . I want users to communicate with list only from power app . Thank you in advance.
1 - Power Apps is user specific. Im not sure if there is a way to avoid multiple users calling flow at same time. 2 - Power Apps does not impersonate permissions. User must have access in order to perform the actions.
Hi Reza, I have specific query (may not be related to this particular thread). I have a sharepoint list having various column types (choice, text etc). Can you please help me figure out, how to pass data from Forms or from another list to a Choice column? Multiselect option is not enabled in My choice column. Hello Reza I have a requirement in which I need to filter an array and the filter query must be dynamic ( there is a sp list with all the parameters which needs to be included/excluded) , I tried developing this , but the dynamic query which I create is of the type string (has “” )so it is failing in the filter array action , it’s not evaluating into Boolean value. How can I solve this issue ? . I can use variables to store the filter field and value but how can I manage the length of the query for ex if I have to filter users based on their job titles ( contractors and managers) , how can I dynamically build a query incorporating both the conditions since the variable can hold only one job title and for adding another I have to create another query and AND it with the first?

Hi Reza i want to ask how can i get the required attendees from outlook and add them all to a sharepoint list person or group field i'm having trouble with the content of the parse Json "The 'content' property of actions of type 'ParseJson' must be valid JSON. The provided value cannot be parsed: 'Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: e. Path '', line 0, position 0.'." this is the error that im getting i have the flow that saves the required attendees in a single line of text but with that i can not filter the gallery in powerapps based if that field contains my email or not i would appreciate the help

I have two sp list. List1 is primary list, containing all employees info List2 is foriegn key list. List2 has a column employeeId which is ID a primary key column in List1 I have fetch list of employees for each reviewer from list2 but i have employeeId in result. Hi Reza, if approver whose part of SP Approval Group upload document in library then no need to go through workflow and automatically Approval Status column should Approve I have try to fetch email of user present in group and compare with creater email but it is running only if 1 user is present. I want condition where All user in SP group I will get and compare and If user email match then set content Approval Status to Approve

Can you explain to me how to use Power Automate to populate a fillable PDF from MS Form? This is the flow i was thinking: MS Form > populate fillable PDF > flatten PDF > Send email I'm now stuck at filling checkbox (or radio button), multiple choice checkbox, image, attachment, and dropdown. Thanks in advance. Edit: what i mean by fillable PDF is it was an existing PDF which i already add text area, checkbox, etc.

I’m confused as to how to create an array. I was trying to initialize an array with a key and two variables. Then I want to increment one of the two variables based on another list. Do you have some documentation or other videos on how to initialize an array and then modify the array by incrementing a variable based on criteria?

Check documentation for convertfromutc. It has all the time zone names.

The only thing that confused me a bit in your 2nd last example is the mechanism used by the 'apply to each' to filter the SharePoint list. Does it pull the whole list and then filter somehow in the select action (which means I misunderstood the select action) or is the 'get list' action implicitly filtering the list from each status. If the latter how does it know which data field to filter in the SharePoint list? i.e. When you say query you mean filter query in the advanced option? Not so obvious if so because it is not expanded in your video like other parts... Loved the video, especially the use cases with diverse examples focusing on the data operation theme. Thank you.

For grouping, is there a way to further filter the get items based on another column? I have a list of tasks, with column of assigned to and another column (multi person) for backups. I want to send email to each user showing past due tasks, with one table where they are assigned (have this working) and another table of items they are backup for that are past due. Is there a way to do that without a second get items action?

I'm trying to run a script and create separate documents based on selected rows in an excel table.
When I only select 1 or 2 rows at a time it works consistently, but if when doing larger groups (4+) it seems to skip running the script for some files. it creates the file from the template, but then doesn't populate it. However, its inconsistent - skipping row 2 sometimes and row 4 others. Any ideas?

Hi Reza, I had a question please.. I have an email that contains a table. The email will be triggered based on date and OData filters set in Get Items linked to a sharepoint list.. I am using HTML to generate a table that will go into the table which has some information for each record that meets the filter.. the list has a person field though which is multi select.. So when I initiate a variable to pull the display names from that field, all names pulled are listed for each record.. Do you know how I can get only the relevant fields for each record please? Ive been struggling to find a solution that would allow me to get the items from 2 different SPO lists and add them to a CSV/HTML table in a single row. One list has a single row of data the other has multiple rows "linked" to the other table via ID. When i use the select + Union operation it adds multiple rows to the final result. the join operation seems to give a single row but its a string. Have you come across this type of issue before?

1 - Power Apps is user specific. Im not sure if there is a way to avoid multiple users calling flow at same time.
2 - Power Apps does not impersonate permissions. User must have access in order to perform the actions.

Hello Reza I have a requirement in which I need to filter an array and the filter query must be dynamic ( there is a sp list with all the parameters which needs to be included/excluded) , I tried developing this , but the dynamic query which I create is of the type string (has “” )so it is failing in the filter array action , it’s not evaluating into Boolean value. How can I solve this issue ? . I can use variables to store the filter field and value but how can I manage the length of the query for ex if I have to filter users based on their job titles ( contractors and managers) , how can I dynamically build a query incorporating both the conditions since the variable can hold only one job title and for adding another I have to create another query and AND it with the first?

Are you using the terms Array and Object interchangeably here? Seems like you’re saying Array when talking about Objects with key:value pairs.
