@@VR-ke9wc Marui AKs are great performers, but external quality leaves much to be desired. GHK gen 3 seemed to be the ultimate AK GBB, but as you said, everybody is having severe issues with missalignments, not to mention plastic hop chambers are a bad idea, particularly the slots that grab onto the inner barrel. WE AKs are a proven design, and they've upgraded it silently through the years. These would be my # 1 recommendation nowadays., but you will still need a steel hammer upgrade (can be cheap as the Well ones, or expensive such as RA-Tech) and a new bucking + inner combo (Maple Leaf all the way). With those upgrades, these are incredibly reliable, accurate, and fun to use. That being said, if you're considering buying an AK GBB, I'd say wait a bit to see how the new VFCs tun out. VFC has really stepped up their GBB game in the last couple of years, so I wouldn't be surprised if these become the best AKs out there.
Hopefully it'll actually have quality control. I just got their new forged receiver mk12, opened the box and saw it was covered in metal dust and dirt, like they just tossed it into the box as soon as it was assembled. But when i wiped it all off i noticed it was perfect. Receiver finish was perfect, accuracy was perfect with my scope, everything else perfect. Maybe there's hope... 🙏
If they haven't fixed QC or re-designed the hop and nozzle system, then it's just going to be the same ole shennanigans from GHK. My suspicion is that they're starting to realize how much market share they're losing to the TM AKM/X/Saiga. They realize that their reputation is in the shitter, they see the E&L GBBR on the horizon, and they're announcing this new "v3" as a way to trick customers into coming back. I know, it's a negative / cynical take. But my experience with Samoon / GHK has been rotten through and through.
I hope you're wrong but ngl I see it happening. Once people start making parts / adapters for the TM AK to be compatible with real steel furniture, its really over for GHK
It probably both TM and VFC, VFC potentially being the main factor (not counting this new ak) that forced GHK to get off their butts and try to fix their issues
This versus the E&L GBBR AKM - which do you think is a better buy? I know it's hard to judge with what imitated info is available right now, but I'd love to hear opinions
@@pebbles9973what is more realistic? An AK you can always rely on or a useless Wallhanger that gives u headaches? Looking for the prices a GHK costs in Europe it’s always the safer choice to go for the TM and upgrade a steel receiver + wood furniture
I’ve had an upgraded GHK AKM for years that is also all steel (including outer barrel) and has the W&S full travel kit installed, and a steel bolt carrier, although it still isn’t full travel, probably is 80% travel). I also put an Izzy AKM pistol grip on it. Will this actually be full travel? Edit: yeah, they wouldn’t be able to get actual full travel anyways with the bolt carrier design they use. Real AKs don’t have that extended part at the end. They’d need to get rid of that to be able to achieve true full travel.
It’s impossible because of that block on the tail, indeed. It’s closer than what it was though. So that’s something at least. Your AKM sounds like a beauty. Don’t be shy to post a pic over on my FB page… share that gorgeous rifle
Hey BadaBing! I was just about to jump on a TM when this news came out. As you have experience with both brands, do you think the updates make the V3 more feasible as skirmishable replica? I appreciate the external qualities of GHK but am primarily looking for the better airsoft gun.
Hi, Looks like you answered your own question, mate. TM will always be the “better” *airsoft* gun, because they only ever design something with that concept in mind. Not to build the highly realistic replica that happens to be airsoft. My V2 AKM was and is a perfectly feasible skirmish rifle. Out of the box in fact. Just a wonderful time. Their V3 has the few improvements which will reduce or completely eliminate the existing V2 flaws, and that was mostly everything that was wrong. I’d hope they’ve grown tired of community backlash and are working towards improving QC. We’ll see.

Difficult to say, no one really knows what the V3 is like. Wait til it’s released at the end of the month and then in December we might hear from users feedback.
Asian retailers will get it first. Taiwan initially, and then HK and so on. Keep your eyes peeled on those retailers Social Media accs, as you’ll likely be tipped off when they receive their stock.
Sorry, I can't be excited, it took me a year to realize I can't fix my GKM, the trunnion is fucked up. I can force in the OEM plastic hopup unit in but it flexes so much I have almost no hopup effect, the ML alu hopup doesn't even go in. You know how they say you should unscrew your outer barrel with a revolution to fix this issue? Well I have to unscrew about a centimeter. I asked you so many questions BadaBing so I don't have to tell you I don't mind working on guns but whoever let this thing out of the factory should be arrested for involuntary gunslaughter.

I hope they also fixed the downward facing outer barrel. That annoyed me so much. I couldn't keep it.
With how the barrel is fixed in place in the V3, it should be much easier for them to get it right.

Hello BadaBing could you do an update video to GHK M4/MK18 again ?
Hi,
I haven’t used my M4 much since my last video on it, sadly. So there’s not much to report. It’s still running great though.
Another feature: dry fire mode magazine.
that's a thing on the version 2 as well, just gotta pull the dry fire cutoff lever out a little bit with a pair of pliers

Magazines look to be the same as the v2 ak since they already used on the video a gmag for ak
they revised the top section of the mag into one big chunk of plastic, I presume it increases feedlips durability
When is it available for purchase?
Preorders have started to pop up on Asian retailers now.
End of November is stated for release
