Good info Cam. I bet your missing your onboard air from the big rig about now...I never realized how much i would appreciate and use the on-board air. Definitely nice to have.

All 💯 good information on tires. I seen many Rv owners throw away brand new tires and replace with Goodyears only because that’s what everyone tells them. As well as only buy USA 🇺🇸 made 😂 I don’t think USA has rubber trees or anything or raw virgin material.💁‍♂️I don’t think Goodyear in my opinion are anymore better as I have them on my tow rig and junk wrangler duratrax. Carlisle on 5 wheel have been good to me.

I have the same brand and ply tire for my Alpine 5th Wheel and they seem good so far 1.5 years old and 4000 miles.

You peeled it like a retread. Good job pointing out the pressure is the cold pressure, seen people deflate tires after driving a couple hours. Under inflated tires sure seems like the tire killer.

So my Goodyear Endurances have a weight rating of 3640 pounds. Axles are 7000. The tires I replaced were rated for 4400 pounds. Buuuut… the old tires had a speed rating of 75mph. The Goodyears are rated at 87mph. I run 75 when I’m on the interstate. I’d rather have the speed cushion on an American tire than the weight cushion on a Chinese tire. Hopefully you balanced them.

Went with the exact same tires. Had never heard of Hercules before, but apparently made by Copper, which is what I have on my truck. About 3k on mine as well, so far have been happy with them.

Absolutely … ran those Hercules on my HS trailer … never an issue … 160k miles and was counting.

People go on and on about china bombs not realizing almost every tire is made in Asia. Also with date code you want as new as possible because they need replaced after 3 years from manufacture. Also need to make sure rums are good for pressure that tire is good for. Many are only good for 80psi

The other thing to look at is the speed range …

Quit messing around and go to 17.5 or 19.5 and be done with it
