  • Here is a detailed walk-through tour of the British Airways First lounge at London Heathrow, Terminal 5. The BA LHR First Class First airport lounge is filled with luxurious amenities that make waiting for your British Airways First Class flight quite enjoyable.
    Something special, the First experience on British Airways at Heathrow includes a private, check-in area and private security check-point. First passengers do not go through the regular security line. I also liked the Restworks Forty Winks napping lounge space within the lounge.
    I had some great food in the British Airways First airport lounge at Heathrow, they have a wonderful selection of all kinds of entrees, both vegan and non-vegan. All kinds of drinks with a huge serve-yourself Champagne bar in the Concorde Room area of the lounge.

      As far as I know, it's the only one. This is for all international flights and is in Terminal 5.

    This is the "First" lounge as opposed to "First class" Concorde lounge. It IS confusing. BA really should rename it - Matt from Matt's Planet has suggested "Gold" lounge as really it's mainly Gold members who would use it. Anyone actually flying First Class would/should use the Concorde Lounge. The First lounge is quite nice but not significantly better than Galleries South and in some ways not as nice as the T5B Business/First lounge.

    • @FreddySherman
      @FreddySherman  Před 2 měsíci

      I am still confused as I went everywhere I could, so I am not sure where any other part of the lounge would be. As you saw, I went to the back section, facing the windows with the champagne bar, I thought that area was the highest level?

    • @ukdavepianoman

      @@FreddySherman The Concorde Lounge is a separate lounge. From memory, you exit the First Lounge at 2:40 and go walk directly ahead.

      @@ukdavepianoman So the "First" lounge, which has signs calling it First, is not really the lounge for those flying First Class?

      @@FreddySherman Correct. Were you flying in a First Class seat leaving Heathrow for this trip?

    • @FreddySherman
      @FreddySherman  Před 2 měsíci

      No, I am a travel writer who was flying Club World as a guest of BA to experience the then-new Club Suite. I specifically asked my PR contact for access to the "First Class" lounge as I wanted to film a tour. I was thinking I was getting access to the lounge used by (as you asked) those holding First Class tickets on BA. I realized when I saw how crowded it was, it had to be the biz class lounge.

    Can you pay to access this lounge or is it just for people flying in first class?

    • @FreddySherman
      @FreddySherman  Před rokem +2

      No you cannot pay to access the lounge. You must be flying in first class on British airways or you can also access the lounge if you have the top status as a frequent flyer with British airways or their airline alliance.

      Do you see the sign where it says First at the entrance at the start of the tour? This whole thing is the First lounge, the area in the back is the Concorde Room, the business class lounge is a totally separate space. Thank you very much for watching the video.

      @@bradleyrosenberg8201 it's not, I checked in in that private first area behind the curved wall, I went through the private first security check and you can see the sign on the wall by the horse at the start of the video that says first. Now with that said I don't know if they use that area as the business class lounge, but again I checked in in the first class area I went through the first class security and the sign at the entrance said first as you see in the video.

      Not flat but they recline to create a zero gravity experience so it's like you're floating. They want you to nap for a specific time under an hour, not sleep for hours. Here is more info on the pods rest.works/en/solution/metronaps-energypod/

      You weren’t in the First Class lounge though, only in name is it the First class lounge. See if BA will let you into the Concorde Room, that’s the
      First Class lounge at T5. Don’t let them dupe you again.
