      Tom Clark so if a F1 car breaks in a race near the end and another driver takes the podium does that mean that, that race isn't valid? Lol fact, Hayes body has always been an issue in boxing, lots of injury's and surgeries plus pulling out of big fights, if haye's tune is always breaking then HE clearly isn't a good fighter. He got injured in a fight. Yes a FIGHT lol

    • @tomclark15

      +Lee Mcqueen And Bellew's shots up until the injury did nothing to Haye either. Haye was getting settled and winning rounds. Even after the injury, he couldnt knock out a static target.

    I've nothing against Bellew - Haye's injury wasn't his fault - but you can't make an objective, honest assessment of the fight without mentioning the fact that he beat a one-legged fighter. Charles Martin was ridiculed for his world title win over Glazcov for similar circumstances, yet Bellew is lauded? Do me a favour. Good luck to Bellew - he won fair and square - but let's have some perspective here.

    • @EliasVergsen
      @EliasVergsen Před 7 lety +8

      This is exactly correct. I think fair play to Bellew. He had the balls to step in the ring and took some shots.
      But he shouldn't be acting like he is. He won because Haye's ankle gave up and he was incapacitated. There should be more grace from Bellew and no one would be giving him all this.

      JoeStunner Bellew is lauded?really?all I have heard after Bellews win is Heye had one leg,Heye was terrible,Heye this Heye that,Bellew hasn't got the credit he deserves for this win,bellew trained fucking hard for that fight,he had a plan,I don't think Heye trained that hard for this fight at all,Heye thought he would steam roll Bellew and stop him inside 3 rounds, Bellew and his camp knew if this fight went longer than 6,Bellew would win it, Injuries are part of sport,thats a fact,personally I don't think Heye would have won the fight without the injury,Heye hit bellew with everything he had before the injury,Heye was getting tired and in my opinion Bellew wins on points or stops Heye anyway.
      Well done Tony,I made a few quid,(not my giro either as I actually have a career believe it or not and I am a scouser!)
      and a message to Heye,let's hope all the scousers put there giros on the bellew win when.

      JoeStunner i agree with most of that mate but Bellew was one stone lighter and a 4 inch reach disadvantage to Haye before hand. Haye could still have knocked him our at anytime with that power but he lost his grip before the injury. His Boxing was scatty from the off and he played wide open which showed he wanted that one punch win from the off.

      mac ss But Bellew wouldn't have been so tired... If Haye didn't get the injury he would have gassed first as he was starting to... As soon as Haye got injured, Bellew got excited and expended a lot of energy trying to get him out... Haye was class on the ropes slipping and countering and then Bellew calmed down, regained energy and got him out... Before that Bellew was fightingon the counter and he was quicker... So you can't compare how gassed Bellew was after the injury because the fight changed completely...

      Can't give credit for someone surviving rounds. It's a fight. Look at it from them trying to beat each other. Haye was winning easy and improving then got injured. Laughable bellew is getting credit for being 4-1 down. Who cares if he was the underdog it's still a fight

    • @ross1088
      @ross1088 Před 7 lety +1

      Agree that it killed it, but whilst I'm not fond of Bellew, he deserves something for sticking it out and causing what they did predict to happen--that him/his body would give up. They didn't predict Bellew would batter him after all. The thing I can't accept quite as much is Hearn etc.. flippantly saying ''and now he's beaten David Haye'' because it makes it sound like he did batter him! My thought is; why on earth would Bellew want the rematch, assuming Haye could survive it, he'd get killed eventually like he should have before.

  • @replenishrewire4758
    @replenishrewire4758 Před 7 lety +15

    Bellew was more gassed than Haye the whole way through the fight. To say Haye would of gassed when he clearly demonstrated the strength and stamina to carry on fighting balancing on one leg shows he could of gone 12 rounds easily if injury free. Rematch than both should retire.

    This might be a shit example but.. If Andy Murray forces Rafa Nadal to run back and forth across the baseline because he knows that he may tire or his body might not hold up, and Nadal continues to play with an Injury. Then would anyone be complaining about Murray celebrating the victory? No because that it part of sport, Bellew didn't cheat, he had a tactic to stay in the fight until the later rounds because he knew there was a good chance Haye's body will break down. Bellew didn't cheat or get a favourable decision.
    Haye had 6 rounds to knock Bellew out and he didn't even drop him. Explain that one Haye fans!

      Tim if Murray won the tennis game in your analogy because Nadals strings broke in his racket, his still won, but he's gonna look like a nob saying he won because he's better and has more heart/willing to go to dark places etc etc, and yup, Haye didn't get rid of Bellew early as per his prediction, is he the first fighter to call the round in the pre fight circus and be wrong, we'll never know he would of ko'd Bellew at all, but the point is, Haye was winning, was winning comfortably, Bellew was gassing and the big point, that freak injury changed the face of that fight from one that Bellew was losing to an arse kicking contest against a one legged man that was his to lose, Bellew has the W, Haye the L, nothing will ever change that, but let's have the circumstances behind it right.

    • @thowland89
      @thowland89 Před 7 lety

      Picking holes here but I didn't say strings broke on his racket. Anyway, I'm not saying that Haye wasn't winning the fight or that Haye wouldn't of gone onto win the fight. I actually think that Haye would've ended up winning on points, since it didn't look like Haye was himself from round. I totally agree that the injury changed the fight, but to discredit someones victory because he carried out a tactical gameplan is wrong and unfair. I guess Bellew shouldn't of celebrated and should petition for the fight to be ruled a no contest.

    Kugan you have massively let yourself down with your post-fight antics. You traditionally have always been fairly good at staying neutral (between British fighters at least), but in this case you have been so far up the Matchroom bullshit script, that disgracefully underpinned the sky sports coverage in the aftermath, that you might as well change your job title to Matchroom press officer. BELLEW WOULD QUITE CLEARLY NOT HAVE WON HAD HAYE'S ACHILLES HAD GONE! This isn't a minor bloody injury. If hearn had any integrity or bollocks he would grant Haye the mismatch that Bellew admitted he would give him before the fight.

    It could be argued that most agree Haye's performance was dissatisfying during the rounds where the injury was unknown. Keep in mind that I use the word "unknown" because Haye may have very well had the injury for the entire bout, which progressively worsened as the fight progressed. I backed Haye for this fight, but always had my reservations. Despite these reservations, what led to me finalising my pick of Haye being the winner was the thought: "If Haye expects to contend with Anthony Joshua and Wilder, he defeats Bellew." All in all, I was very impressed with Bellew's boxing performance in the early rounds. If he boxed like that in his other fights, he'd be a great talent. I was also very impressed with Haye's heart.

If you watch it back look at his right foot from R1, he's dragging it along the ring and couldn't find the balance to throw punches. It was 4-1 on the scorecard before he fully ruptured it in R6 which shows the levels of each fighter. Bellew couldn't take a one legged man out, and that's fact if you like it or not.

All these old aged guys that are saying shit like boxings a gentlemans sport, just to condone there love for violence. when it's really just It's two dudes slugging it out trying to take each other's head off, it's brutal. And for them old heads that say it's gentleman like that need to just stop watching it becuase they obviously try to take some sort of moral high ground, when they really are watching a fight, we the youth love the drama love the blood and love the brutal aspects bad blood sells. Simple as that.

      Because the old heads see past the bullshit and fakeness of it all and realise its all about milking money out of people whether its for tickets or pay per veiw.... While the youth are thick as fuck and believe any shite....

    Eddie Hearn does a great job for his fighters. If people don't want to watch his shows or interviews then you can choose not to.

    All comments & talk is pointless there's only one outcome and thats a REMATCH Haye risked all and gave the opportunity and a shit load of money now it's Tony's turn to repay the favour SIMPLE as a man he should want to win fair n square.... Let's see whats what... haye was not fucking tired WTF his mouth was shut the whole fight

    Clearly haye had the rumoured achillies injury and it fully went in the 6th round. Take nothing away from bellew but he wasnt beating hay before the aachillies fully went and couldnt be a cripple. Good luck with the Wilder fight bomber :)))))

    No one is having a go at what Bellew did. It's the reaction like he beat a fully fit Haye and how he's going on with himself. He won because of an injury. Fair play to Bellew but he and the media with him are causing the reaction.
    Also Eddie's best celebration was Froch against Bute. Was in the ring before the fight stopped.

    Haye looked wild,complacent and couldn't even get the appropriate ring attire right with that ridiculous unsupportive footwear he wore, embarrassing for him and Mcguigan in the corner.Bellew was composed, professional,focused and got it done,all credit goes to him.

      heard many bellew fans agree as well. only deluded people believe bellew won legitimately, or that he would have won regardless of the injury or not.
      im a neutral, and i can see bellew did nothing much the whole fight, haye was wild early, trying to take him out with 1 shot, knowing he was injured pre fight i presume, as everyone knows he was. then that didn't work, so he settled down began to wear bellew down, winning pretty much every round except arguably round1. then the achilles snapped in the 6th, and bellew still couldnt put haye away who could only put weight on 1 leg.
      people need to stop acting idiots because they either support bellew or hate haye. just call it how it is. you don't even know these guys personally, they're not worth looking a fool over

  • @KingMODaddy
    @KingMODaddy Před 7 lety +2

    INJURED BEFORE THE FIGHT AND IT JUST WAS WORSENED IN THE 6th BEYOND REPAIR. It's so clear from the slow ring walk alone. Eddie and all the insiders know this and the leaks days before the fight that he injured his ACHILLES is no coincidence. It's way to specific to be a lie made up. Haye could never give up the fight in the end because of the stick he would have got. I don't dislike Bellew and he did what he had to you can't blame him but the lack of insistence that the injury was the reason the fight ended how it did is so ridiculous. Haye would have knocked him out in the later rounds like he did chisora. The man won round 8 with a torn Achilles. It's just Eddie Hearn supporting his performer and making him as big as possible just don't fall for it.

      Johnny Cage Mate, I wanted Bellew to win. Nothing to do with being a "salty Haye fan". Fact is Bellew had a one legged man in front of him and struggled to get him out of there. Also, Yes Hayes timing was way off and it's clear he's not the fighter he once was, but he was still way ahead until the injury. He definitely deserves a rematch.
