@@trevor8493 that’s Mike Robitaille, who was a former Sabre and worked on Sabre telecasts for years in the 80s and 90s. A real character. Another “Robi-ism” was when a player got hit in the groin with a puck: “It hit him right in the soup coolers!”
If I’m not mistaken, there was a strike during the latter part of that 91-92 season and it occurred after this game, again I could be wrong. But great video nonetheless.
@@jamesfranke4521 But there was no rule in place at the time outlawing losing the sweater. Also, it’s not as if only RAY was permitted to lose the sweater and his opponent was not; his opponents were free to do so, as well. Therefore, it’s not an unfair advantage for Ray.
I miss that kind of hockey
“When Donnelly came at him, Johnson ran like a cheap pair of nylons!”
“When he got hit, he looked like an octopus trying to unfold a beach chair!”
Classic lines , hilarious color man , who is this ?

John Tortorella getting involved as a Buffalo assistant. 👌
Sabres with Ray , May and Donnelly , love it
The Stars sure missed McRae and Churla in the lineup that night.

You are correct. The entire game is on CZcams and I’ve watched it. The commentators talk about the impending strike a few times.
lol the colour guy sounds like Bobby Heenan
He ran like a cheap pair of nylons. 😂. Classic robitaille!
Of course Ray is desperately trying to get his jersey off.
What’s wrong with Ray getting his jersey off?
@christopherjaskowiak9073 The other guy has nothing to grab on to. Gives Ray an easy advantage
