I don't think it matters much, I know there was the media added from other tanks. The fine pad is in there too but I'm not sure how you'd maintain something like this. It's definitely a beautiful water feature and parameters should be ok given the plant load. Just a question for the next one I think, how would you service something like this easily.
Nice build Lizzie! The one suggestion that I would make is that in the long run your pump is likely to clog. The pump is not really very accessible in your build. I always like to have the pump easily accessible and I like to cover the intake with a large cell foam block to keep shrimp and fish and snails from getting stuck to the pump intake.
Additionally I really like the look of a Ficus tree growing out of the rocks. Ficus twigs will easily root and produce a nice accent.
Cheers,
Chris
Oooohhh thank you for making this point! That’s true.
Simple and beautiful set up!! Truly nice work!!
This is my favorite work of yours, Lizzie. Excellent job.
You're you're stocking is perfect just fish shrimp and snails. I love the build . With that pump somehow DIY filter or add floss around the filter. close off the corner and put the smallest sponge filter and the power head on low speed.
This is incredible! You make it look easy, but this takes a huge amount of talent and creativity.
Love it! Adding that bit of out of water scaping really does add a lot of interest
This tank looks fabulous! Your skill and artistic eye are evident.
This is really amazing!! Very inspiring, thanks Lizzie!!
Its beautiful. I have a 75 gallon tank and 3 55 gallon and one 36 gallon. I'm learning this new hobby and loving it!!!! Thank you💙🐠🐟😁🌹
scouring the internet and there are so many complicated builds, I just needed something simple like this, thanks
Great job putting large stone and bulky wood in a tank and making it look good and not a cluttered mess.
I really enjoy this setup.
Job well done. You got to add a few of Forktail Blue-Eye or Furcata Rainbowfish
It's simple to create yet beautiful.
Hey Lizzie, scape looks great 🌱
Stunning! 🥰
Very nice! Simple and beautiful!
That looks like I might be able to do it...I love it
Thx for the basic idea of water pumps im going to make a diorama for my model kit :)
The tank is so peaceful and tranquil. I wished I had the talent to decorate like this. Thanks for the video and inspiration.
you have the tallent lad its the time that beats us up
This looks awesome! I would definitely try this! Sorry, taking this idea 😂 great job 👏
Really nice ! Excellent job.
Love it!!💕👍
Really nice, enjoyed the tutorial!!! Maybe with future tutorials there could be a list of the products used such as the pump.
Any small aquarium pump will work fine! I've done similar set ups many, get the cheapest one on Amazon! Just be sure to adjust the flow according to your set up!
I bought a Sicce MiMouse for a friend’s little beta tank - 4 gal I think - for water changes. That one might work well and it’s
Nice job Lizzie!
Beautiful
Loved it
Very nice I would love to create something like that.✌️🐟🌿
Great video! wish you made more aquascaping videos
I'm not into small tanks but this is a great idea. Maybe I will build a monster tank that is similar to this. just Imagine having your ow little piece of The Amazon rainforest in your basement!
Awesome...😊
Wonderful
I'm currently working on exactly this with a 15 gallon!
I certainly would build something very similar IF I had your artistic eye and talent.
👍❤👍
I didn't know how simple it was to use that type of pump, that's really nice to know. I hope to make a waterfall scape some day!
Same here. Will definitely be setting something like this up in the future!
Very nice.
Your scaling skills are on par with that MD aquatics dude. I would like to see you do more.
Great video
Wow! Would really like to know what pump you used since many would be overpowered in such a small tank but this is really cool.
This could be the first in a series dedicated to smaller tanks with aquascapes anyone could replicate!
I hope Lizzie will comment cause I’d also like to know. But I know Sicce makes a few tiny pumps, like the MiMouse and the Micra.
will be makin one in shallow 15 cm tall one soon😊like the idea
Yes
Hi
Did u add another filter? How does the tank gets filtered? And stay cycled?
How do you keep fish from flying out of an open tank? i've seen a lot of people with them but I'm scared my fish will fly out.
How does it look after a month? I have trouble keeping things clean
Enjoyed the video, would like to see more details of how the pump was installed. I am guessing there is no filter?
Me too. I think she said she added pre cycled media, but where?
The waterfall essentially is the filtration. Aerobic filtration. This is how nature filters its water mostly as well. Sometimes the most simple set up is the best! If you really wanted something more, you could wrap the pump in the same filter material she used to place the hard scape on, but eventually you will need to replace it as it will get clogged
Очень красиво 🌹
Looks so easy, but I know it takes a lot of skill, hopefully I can make something half as nice in the future
Yes would be nice in my bedroom
Could you incorporate a aquarium filter to this?
They have a brand new home now they can make some little ones too hang out at their luxury waterfall..chilling
Hi there, would you mind letting me know approximately how many pounds of stone you used? Thanks!
beautiful. some micro crabs might work well
Where did you get the pump?
I’m doing this.
Can I have a link for the tank? please
can you post the measurement of the tank ?
I would.
Great aquascape! Won't the snails escape tho?
👍
i might be dum and have missed something. but how are u filtering it?
Heater?
What’s the size of that tank?
What is the name of this filter ?
Tell me about this light
Watching the vid because I wanna make something special with a giant glass fish bowl style vase that holds an actual 3 gal. So, yeah I might make something like that.
Hi
This is good soup
I wonder how those plants above water level stay alive. They don't require water to wet?
I love it! It's beautiful, what time can you come over and do it? Now for the guilt, I'm disabled so you're supposed to feel sorry for me. ( Lol ). That never work's anyway. You are a very talented lady and I enjoy your video's.
i gotta say that 4.6 gallon tank looks bigger than my 10 gallon
Just ask how to make a waterfall but not sand come out from the air line,I'd like to make a waterfall with real water come out from the pvc pipe. Can you teaching me how to make a waterfall
Those water parameters? :-s No disrespect intended here but ive got to wonder about the source water. This looks like readings from tap water in which there's a certain amount of run off from industrial fertilizers. Ive seen worse, but it doesn't take much of a bioload at all to bump that into problematic territory.
25ppm nitrate and that nitrite? Touch of phosphate and with no bioliad at all, you might see an algal bloom. Ive seen it first hand.

It looks amazing, but I am not a huge fan of how you voice your video. It sounds kinda fake and like you aren't excited about your work. I love the video, I just suggest making it feel a little more natural and not so robotic in voiceover. Thank you for this incredible design! I want to try it.
Goodluck cleaning that every week
😂😂
please consider adding a brief intro. for example, "hi, I'm name with aquarium co-op"
You look like Mia Khalifa 🤫
