If I remember correctly, the AP on Kita is garbage (currently regrinding the line and pkayed akizuki, which has the same guns and it suffers citadelling lightly armored, lower tier cruisers Furthermore, there is no big damage difference from AP to HE You can saturate bow and back with AP in close wuatees, but besides this, the AP is trash (in general the IJN DD AP is neglectaable IMO)
