I think the point was, it was supposed to be accurate but with not much force. Like a pass basically. So the goalkeeper had to be confused or at least not react too fast.
To anyone who doesn't understand football: This move was COMPLETELY ineffectual. The players leaving the box made no impact The shot was fairly tame and should have been saved by the keeper anyway.
When I was younger, football teams would always have a player at each goal post for free kicks and corner kicks. If the ball got past the keeper into the corner of the goal, then the players at the posts were able to clear the ball. I don't understand why this is not done now.
People realise that it kept the opposition onside up to the goal. The rule is you must be at least 9 1/2 feet away so they try to keep the line as high up as that 9 1/2 feet giving the keeper less players in his way to deflect or distract him. (If you remember as well as two defenders on both post was also attackers standing in front the keeper or around him being a nuisance and a poacher now with a high line the attacker is offside)
To be honest, if the player had just stood there behind the ball and struck that FK without all the faffing around, it still would have flown in the top corner 😂
In a game my nephew lines up for a free kick, he just stood there and kept yelling to the other team, “you gotta move! You gotta move!” Eventually the team cleared the way and he fired the ball for a goal. The other coach was so pissed. This was 13u so these kids should have known.
The main reason that was a goal wasn't the "crafty tactic" but the fact that he stuck it in the top corner if it was a tottaly standard free kick the keeper wasn't saving that
The defense kept their wall and weren't drawn out needlessly. The second player strike is common and the ploy actually failed. It's just the strike was awesome and he bent it like Beckham so nothing any defense could have done. Leave the dribbles and fake drama on the pitch

It would have cased a delay in the reaction time of the defenders wall from jumling and the goalkeepers diving

Tactic is interesting, but IT WAS A UNDEFENDABLE SET PIECE, NONETHELESS
Exactly. He could just have taken the kick without all that faffing around.
As for the defenders, their job was to 'just stand their'.

😂😂😂 Craziest trick I've ever seen
Everyone is talking about the tactic while I’m talking about the free kick💀
To confuse the enemy, appear confused
Dude that back flip was lit 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😂
Which flip 😂😂😂😂
I love having a video explained to me like im a lobotomized lab monkey
Confusion on a different level 😅
The defenders were not confused, they did exactly what they could do.
That's the best teamwork and nice tactics for the manager
That goalkeeper dive tho 🔥
“Dont let your opp know your next move” ahh moment
Best feeling when your routine actually works in a real game 😊
that backflip was 🔥🔥🔥
Freekick is all about confusing and displacing your opponent in other to score.
Lol, the tactics are wild but I just can't get over that backflip! 😄 I mean, who even practices that?? It’s like watching a movie on the pitch. 🎬⚽
Aint no way we got Deku yapping abt football before gta 6💀

This free kick was gonna be in even without the trick 😮 the second player is a genius
First time i've heard an AI get out of breath. They are learning/mocking a 5 paragraph sentence.
I'm not sure the dramatic narration is necessary... 😬

Them ball balls in the back witnessed greatness first hand
Opponents never lost concentration, the freekick was just good
They all scored the goal
To be honest, if the player had just stood there behind the ball and struck that FK without all the faffing around, it still would have flown in the top corner 😂
Fantastic.
The one guy who did a cartwheel 🔥🔥🔥
Wouldve scored anyway as the opposition remained in their positions
In a game my nephew lines up for a free kick, he just stood there and kept yelling to the other team, “you gotta move! You gotta move!” Eventually the team cleared the way and he fired the ball for a goal. The other coach was so pissed. This was 13u so these kids should have known.

These tactics should happen more often. Make the game a little more exciting.

Just when you thought AI voices couldnt get more irritating.

The player jumps over the ball and
another shoots.

adoption of special tactics for the women football😅😂
