Looks great. Can’t wait for the reviews saying it’s a great mix of Dark Souls and Breath of the Wild like every other remotely challenging stylized open world game to ever exist 🗿

What intrigues me the most in the origin "souls games" is the world setting and the lore and story around it. You explore and always finds surprises and interesting discoveries. So glad to see an action game going this direction instead of just "hard" and "difficulty"

Well it’s just a new genre for the mainstream. If you are a souls veteran you know that souls-like is not a new term. Elden Ring just turbo charged it. Y’all are right that it gets annoying but it’s equivalent to saying Metroid/Vania. It immediately gives you a sense of game play style.

By the way this isn't a bad thing it's darksiders 3 but not. It just has more options since you don't have a limited main weapon. It's a great game so far easily a 7 or 8 out of 10.

Man, they're releasing more soulslike and survival games than FPS ones lately...
Tbh games like Souls or FPS in general need to have a break.
Other than RE, I’ve been in hiatus for nearly 10 yrs now for fps and Im seeing everything is pretty much the same. Idk maybe Im just bias to RE - fx the fps RE8 tho.
It's funny that they describe it as a souls-like, but then proceeds to give a list of things that aren't souls-like at all. The only real souls-like thing it has going for it is a dodge roll.
And dodge rolling wasn't even invented by Souls games. Game reviewers go a little too far in some of these comparisons. Sometimes it makes sense, like with Lies of Pi to Bloodborne... other times not so much.

Action RPGs are my favorite genre. Soulslike trend chasing has taken over and I’m beginning to loose interest in gaming entirely because of it.

From the video she looks like she moves so stiff and clunky. The combat moves look fast, but the movement looks sluggish. Is this how the game feels?
To me it looks more like Kena: Bridge of Spirits, but that games combat was difficult, but fluid.
Stopped watching at "souls like"
In a time of Unreal engine 5 these cartoonish graphics and art style just isn’t enough to compete, visually. And that plays a big part on making the purchase or not. At least for me.
