What I'm thinking is he grabbed something like blender and recreated the lighting, rendered that model with a transparent background and overlayed the bullet onto the other video. You'll notice the bullet doesn't come out of the gun at all, it starts off in the air so that would be my guess.
If it was that, the bullet rolling on the floor after is even more impressive as he'd have to put the shadows in when the player goes over it (and the shadows the bullet casts on the ground).
The most impressive part to me was the lantern with the blood. He would have had to render the video in along with it in order to get that distortion.
I don't know much about rust's animation system but from a quick google search it doesn't seem like you can just export stuff.
I don't know if he'd spend all that time doing that, and seems like a weird skill set for a youtuber to have.
Maybe rust has something where you can import your own models (which still wouldn't explain how that blood got onto that lantern).
Maybe he hired someone? Truly insane.
