‘द केरल स्टोरी’ की कहानी केरल की तीन महिलाओं पर बेस्ड है जिनका ब्रेन वॉश कर धर्म परिवर्तन कराया जाता है और कथित तौर पर वे आतंकी संगठन आईएसआईएस में शामिल हो जाती हैं. बता दें कि फिल्म का ट्रेलर रिलीज होने के बाद से ही ये विवादों में आ गई थी. एक समुदाय विशेष ने फिल्म पर आपत्ति जताई थी. यहां तक कि फिल्म की रिलीज की रोक की मांग वाली याचिका भी जमीयत उलेमा ए हिंद ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में दायर की थी. हालांकि सर्वोच्च अदालत ने याचिका पर विचार से ही इंकार कर दिया था. फलिहाल फिल्म तमाम विवादों के बीच सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज हो चुकी है और इसे ऑडियंस का प्यार मिल रहा है.

We are sanatani family. An elderly lady told me that two her Momin classmate pressurized her to meet and marry their Momin brother. All efforts were made to lure her. This was in 1960s. Same conversion done by Cristian I have witnessed. My best friend and benchmate became Cristian and married to converted Cristian. She used to take me to prayers to her Cristian friend's home, she didn't force me, but tried to convince me. But I was athiest kind of and I am animal lover, and as per bible animals does not have soul.
