Great point Alexandra! I can say for travel nursing it depends what area you work and what type of assignment you take. If I worked all year doing my current travel contract I would bring in just over $200,000 this year. The problem with travel is having to constantly find your next job which isn't guaranteed of course. I'll have to look into that for CRNA school!

Thanks for your thoughts, Winston. I would agree that no one should become a nurse if they just want to make a lot of money and I would argue that most people do not become nurses for that reason. With that being said, I believe that money is still important as nurses provide a service through a specific skillset that they dedicated a portion of their life to hone.

@@Katherine_Ann I haven't yet. There is a uniform shop near my house, and if I can go there with the pandemic I was going to get the brand they carry. if not I may order the brand in your video. I'm old fashioned (LOL!) and want the old school powder blue with the 1 pocket on the left breast. Although, i don't remember if it was youy, but I saw a video where the lady had a top with the 3 pockets at the bottom, and she tucked it in anyway.I never considered that as I thought it would be too bulky, but I thought it was a cute idea as she still could reach in the pockets with it tucked, so I'm considering it. I have told my story on many plus sized channels, but after well meaning but misguided parents body shamed me, I was scared to wear anything but shapeless tops 2 sizes too big. I discovered plus size try ons, tucked in a blouse that mostly fit which I was forced to wear at work, and the compliments poured in from everyone who never saw me in the office tucked in, (I would pull my blouses out so fast once out of the door so fast, heads spun!) including from my Parents! Now even if I leave a top out at the urging of friends, it usually gets tucked in my firsdt trip to the ladies room. So I can't see me wearing untucked scrubs, pockets or no.

Hey Erica, thanks for watching and for your comment! Are you considering becoming a RN or LPN? Either way, it's quite a bit more schooling than getting a phlebotomy certification. A lot of the nursing careers mentioned in this video require more schooling than just your RN or BSN. Long term, I don't think you can go wrong with pursuing nursing over phlebotomy as you'll earn a lot more, but it all depends on what you want to do and your current situation. As always, I'd recommend doing your own research. I hope that's helpful!

Honestly referencing California is completely pointless. The cost of living and tax rate makes it a silly data point that should not be included in any analytics. Also CRNA isn't really just a "nursing degree". Yes its a nursing degree in name but in practice you put in another 4 years for it. That's alot of time and investment on top of the bachelors. Plus not it's even more since they require a DNP first before you can even apply to CRNA school. That's an additional 8 years. Funny thing is that this change was put into place by the nurse governing bodies. It's not even push back from MDs or other special interest. It's OUR OWN Freaking people giving us the middle finger.
